Chapter 130

[3 Hours later]

[Kitsuna POV]

“well, Kayda wasn’t wrong when she said devil related things give a lot of experience,” I said while sitting cross-legged on an ice chair on top of my ice tower next to my awesome looking Railgun at the lovely number 49 on my status screen right after level.

“Sigh, forget about that. It has been easy after the dumb pup got his adventures doing their job properly.” I said, looking down at the adventures running around. Out of 300 or so people, you could see 200 sitting on the ground resting and 100 others fighting the thralls and well just shooting them with magic from behind my magnificent fence that has killed over a thousand thrall already.

“ooh, another seeker,” I mumbled, seeing rocks coming out of the summoning fire. Moving the railgun next to me, I aimed at the rocks waiting for the main body to reveal itself. f𝓇𝘦e𝑤𝘦𝚋𝒏૦ѵℯ𝒍.c𝐨𝒎

“Boom!

“there we- ugh! A headache now!” I said, annoyed, grabbing my head in pain.

“agh fuck, now my back hurts. what the fuck is going on!” I yelled, bending down while pressing my head against the floor. After an unknown amount of time flew by, something even weirder started happening. I wanted to change into my fox form and roar.

.....

While all the pain was going through my body, I started having a giant urge to roar out, not for the pain.

“This what is this. Fuck hold it in can’t let people know. Grrrr.” I mumbled while panting and grinding my teeth together.

“ugh, roar.” Grunting out in pain, a small roar escaped my lips while I felt and realized unknown information flooded my brain.

“Fuck, rawr.” I cursed only to let out an embarrassing sound afterwards, making me blush.

Saying it’s unknown is a lie as it was about the construction of weapons how they react and work with magic. After a while, I started getting information about magic itself. Everything about magic went into my head about how it moves naturally and how to enhance it.

‘What is this? Why am I getting this information? Wait, no way. Is this how we get classes?’ I thought, breathing heavily.

“status.”

“huh, 3 tail? Rawr. That is such an embarrassing sound.” I mumbled, making another sound escape. Ignoring my embarrassment, I looked at my butt and saw 3 tails swinging around.

‘so that’s why my back hurt. I was growing new tails.’ I thought, bringing the tails to the front staring at them before I started stroking them.

“Hmm, weapon sage? I also got a class I had never heard of. Seeing as all the info I got, I just know it’s probably the same as a weapon master, but I am also a sage? Grrr.” I said, tilting my head at the status screen in front of me. Hearing the growling sound coming out of me, I raised an eyebrow, confused.

“oh, my tail gives me abilities. That... wait, what the fuck happened to my mana? How is it over 70 000! Rawr!” I shouted out in surprise, not concentrating on keeping my new tick under control roar came out.

“This is getting embarrassing. Hmm, oh, wait, Mana tails? What the fuck is this. Ugh, whatever, let’s just use this illusion to hide my tails for now. Hmm, apricot did say to use it like this?” I said, enveloping myself with mana.

“There! It is all good,” I said, seeing the tails merged together.

“Kitsu.”

“Eh! Fuck, you scared me,” I said, looking up at Kayda.

“what happened, and what was that mana spike?” Kayda asked, grabbing my arms, and started inspecting me.

“Mana spike, rawr?” I said, tilting my head at her.

“yeah, your mana spiked sky-high just now,” Kayda said, not stopping to inspect my body.

“You, you can feel that? Rawr,” I said, blushing at the end.

“Yes, it’s a dragon’s innate skill. By the way, what’s with the sound effects?” Kayda said and asking looking at me confused.

“oh, never heard of that. Well, anyway~, I have become a sage.” I said, smiling, ignoring Kayda’s question.

“That’s great to hear. Wait, no, that... you got to be kidding. Your mother is going to kill me.” Kayda said, facepalming.

“A weapons sage, haha,” I said, laughing, making Kayda look at me deadpan.

“...”

“haha yeah, so I didn’t get the class I wanted but an upgrade of it,” I said, shrugging happily seeing her pout.

“sigh, seriously, you made me all worried for nothing,” Kayda said, falling on her butt sighing.

“Hey, you can’t relax now. We need to finish this,” I said, pointing towards the fortress.

“it’s fine. You can take some rest if necessary. We will help out.”

“Are you sure those lousy adventures will be able to work without us?” I asked sceptically.

“Well, they had a rude awakening when you were out for 10 minutes.”

“10 minutes. Was it really that long?” I mumbled, a bit surprised.

“yes, luckily, no rock seekers showed up in that time, not that I couldn’t take care of them if needed,” Kayda said, adding the last part a bit smugly, making me smile at her.

“but others did right?”

“Yeah, anyway, we won’t be worried for long. It seems the summoning is dying down,” Kayda said, looking at the number of thralls.

“oh, I see,” I said, only seeing about 80 thralls left in the circle.

“jip, but do you have an idea how we can stop it right now,” Kayda asked, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

“oh, this might be a great time for this, rawr.”

“for what, and the sound effect is back,” Kayda said, making me slightly embarrassed.

“to evaluate out my new elements,” I said, ignoring her last comment again.

“you... you got even more elements!?” Kayda shouted in surprise with a gaping mouth.

“Well, they aren’t new. They are just different, I guess,” I said, standing up shrugging.

“If you say so.”

“let’s see what happens,” I mumbled, closing my eyes, and lifting up my left hand like I was holding a bow.

Zap!

“Golden lightning?” I heard Kayda mumble looking at the golden lightning bow that appeared in my hand.

“yeah, golden fox lightning, to be exact,” I said, pulling back the lightning string making a white ice arrow appear.

“now blossom my rose. Growl.” I mumbled, letting go of the arrow shooting it right into the middle of the fortress.

‘It would have sounded cooler if didn’t have this fucken tick!!’ I thought in embarrassment.

Crack boom!

Sprinkle.

“Screeeek!!!!”

Just when the arrow landed in the fortress, the fire started to freeze over. The thralls and shriekers alike got frozen and killed with the freezing layers spreading.

“what the hell is happening!” One of the adventures yelled, seeing the ice.

“I don’t know, but it seems like it’s overpowering the black fire.”

.....

“yeah, someone must have used some magic.”

“wait, look at the middle.” Another adventure said, pointing towards the middle where an ice branch with a bud at the end was starting to grow upwards.

“that’s a flower bud?” One of the female adventures said tilting her head confused.

“you sure about that?”

“Yeah, how can a flower bud be in a magic spell.”

“I... I don’t know, but I am sure that’s a bud.”

all the while they were busy, the branch had already grown to 34 meters high, and the stem was 3 meters thick, overshadowing the entire fortress. The bud itself was 4 times wider than the stem and 10 meters long when it started to bloom upwards.

“shut it, guys. Look, it really is a flower.” One of the adventures yells, pointing at the bud in the air

“A rose?”

“yes, that’s a Northern Ice Rose. It is poisonous for humans and animals, but some monsters can eat it as a way to gain powers, but it’s really rare to see that kind of rose. I heard they only grow and bloom once every 100 years.” The female adventures explain having posed like a professor explain something to her class.

“Sacyr, we don’t give a fuck. Will that thing kill us or not?”

“well, probably it depends on how far the ice floor goes.” She said, looking at the ground still being frozen. The frozen ground was already a meter away from the fence when she pointed it out.

“fuck, we need to run!”

“Oh wait, it stopped.” The female adventures said, not sounding very worried seeing the ice stop move after engulfing the fence.

“they sound so useless,” I said, looking down at the adventures that went on worried to death about something so simple.

“Kitsu, they aren’t like you. someone that will realize what is happening after just giving it a glance.” Kayda said

“no, it’s not that. I will also be confused if I see something like this but look to the right. You see there/some thralls got through the fence, and no one realized it yet.” I explain, pointing to my right. Looking into the direction, you could see far to the right there were about 23 thralls killing people, but the only people who realized this were the guys who were being attacked. The rest were all looking at the giant rose.

“Sigh, losing focus in battle, you’re just asking to die,” Kayda said in disdain.

“My point at calling them useless,” I said. Taking my eyes off the adventures, I looked at my rose.

“Well, anyway, I like your spell. It has a lot of strength behind it. How much mana did it cost?”

“Tch 43 000. That’s a high costing spell. Well, at least it isn’t done yet.”

“There is more!?” Kayda exclaimed, surprised.

“of course, you know I love going overboard with things,” I said, smiling up at her before snapping my fingers.
