The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 147: Ch : Birth of a King- Part 1
"Kyle should be fine for now. But are you jealous that we are not the ones to help our beloved out? Don’t you try and lie. I can feel your emotions just fine."
Theo wanted to bite his lips as his other half used his body and killed someone to save Rhiner of all people.
But then again, Rhiner was a key figure in order to save Kyle, so this was a compromise the two forms made.
Theo was not jealous, and he was not angry... despite what his expression said, he was rather normal and not annoyed.
’I am fine. But what is this place? I have never seen a place like this before.’
Theo asked as his other half moved his head around. His body chuckled as his other half finally decided to answer.
"This place is a storage facility of sorts. You feel it too as well, right? Our body is not complete and would likely require a lot of magic to repair fully. This place is one of the few farming and storage facilities for that power."
’I see...’
Theo had never heard of such a thing before, and he was sure that he did not know anything about this place.
But somehow, those words and concepts sounded familiar to him, as if he had talked about it all just yesterday.
Not only that, but it all felt right and necessary to do.
"Since you don’t recall much, let me refresh your memory. To regain our power and influence, the high priests and priestesses make sure to keep these dungeons open and let our power flow. The more they do this, the faster our seal would break. As for this place, it is only a matter of time."
Theo could feel it as well—the tense air under his skin and the buzz in the air. This place had become unstable, and when the time comes, only the king would likely survive this place.
Currently, that ’king’ was Kyle, and as long as he kept his throne, he would be just fine. No, rather, Theo would make sure Kyle was fine.
"Well, that’s the plan. We go and save Kyle and make sure our beloved returns to us, alright?"
Theo’s voice spoke before he connected with the dungeon, and it began to change.
It was time for the last battle round, and soon, the winner would take it all.
’What if Kyle does not cooperate and decides to take down this dungeon before the ceremony? He might not even realize what he’s doing.’
Theo asked, now a little worried, and his other half just chuckled.
"Don’t worry. This dungeon has already served its purpose, and the core that will birth my next high priest has already been completed. Nothing anyone does will have any impact on the outcome any longer."
His other half told him before he moved to get a better position to be able to see Kyle in.
After all, this was a time and space that existed for Kyle now. And Theo would make sure Kyle was the only one who made it out alive at least.

"Hey, nice tattoo. Are you trying to grab people’s attention or something? It sure is working nicely."
Someone told me as they pointed toward my hand, and I shrugged.
I would have loved nothing more than to cover this mark, only to find out neither makeup nor covering it worked.
The second I tried to hide it, it started to glow. And now, I suddenly had a feeling I knew how the others were caught so quickly.
"This is a temporary tattoo. I got it when I was still... outside. Why, do you have a problem with it?"
I asked, and the stranger quickly backed off when I mentioned ’outside.’
"N-No, I don’t have a problem with this. It’s totally fine for me and all... I just... felt curious. That’s all. There’s no need to get offended."
The stranger told me, and I went back to work. And that was not the only person who stopped me that night.
More than a few people tried to get me alone in the back so that they could spend a night with me, and I was getting tired of all these offers.
So I kept rejecting people. And the more I rejected people, the more I saw Kaname look agitated. He looked ready to burst any second.
So after I rejected another person, he decided he could not take it anymore and pulled me aside to ’talk to me.’
"Friend, it does not seem like things are working out. A lot of people are getting annoyed that you keep rejecting people here. I know that you might not like the culture surrounding this place, but you need to be careful if you want to work here—"
"Alright. I don’t want to work here. I’ll quit right now and look for another place to work at."
I told Kaname, and he looked taken aback by my words.
"E-Excuse me... what did you say? You want to look for another job? You—? Well, sure. Go ahead and try your luck. But I doubt you would find any job out there better than this."
Kaname sounded confident when he spoke. His words carried the same meaning as confident. Perhaps I was not the first person to threaten to leave.
But unlike other people, I had an advantage, and that was the fact that I did not need his help and was not reliant on him. I was my own person.
"Hmm, alright. I will leave now. Goodbye."
I told Kaname, and he looked agitated. He bit his lip and almost moved to stop me before he thought better of himself and pulled back.
"You don’t know how wrong you are to think you can survive in the world without my help. But if you are confident, then go ahead and try. I would like to see you try and fail as well. And once you have exhausted all other options, return to me, and I will take you back."
