The Trending Topic Herself: The Villainess is the Superstar!-Chapter 48: The Fan Name "Yao Wan
After the movie wrap party ended, some people were still chatting with the director and producer, but Maya quickly grabbed her bag, not wanting to linger there any longer.
Maya, along with Scott and the others, stepped outside, only to find a crowd had gathered — all fans who had rushed over upon hearing the news. They excitedly shouted some names; the most frequent were Leo, Ethan Grant, and Kiki Monroe, but Maya’s name was absent.
Maya wasn’t surprised at all by this. She just glanced briefly and continued walking through the passageway.
Then she heard Kiki’s surprised words of thanks. As it turned out, many of Kiki’s fans had brought her flowers to celebrate the successful wrap of her film.
Kiki had only been in two shows, but her remarkable performance and friendly persona had quickly earned her a large fanbase.
Just as Maya was about to lead Scott across, she suddenly heard someone calling her name. In the slightly noisy environment, the voice seemed a bit faint.
Maya stopped and looked over to the side.
There were only two young girls, faces reddened by the cold, yet their eyes shined brightly as they looked at her.
Noticing her gaze, the young girls shouted, "Maya, the Pills will always support you!! Congratulations on the movie wrap, Maya. It must be exhausting. We won’t keep you long, but make sure to rest well when you get back!"
’Maya Pills’ — what a dramatic fan name, originally created by the character. Maya rarely saw this fan name, considering the character had many anti-fans.
Of course, none of this was what caught Maya’s attention the most. Her gaze was firmly fixed on the candy bouquets the fans handed over. Wow, there were dozens of them. It was hard to imagine how the three petite girls had managed to carry them over.
Kiki held two bouquets in her arms, her face adorned with a sweet smile, and she walked forward with a lively step. Seeing Maya standing stunned ahead, Kiki wanted to go over and talk to her and show off, but she froze when she saw the rows of bouquets in front of Maya.
Kiki’s assistant couldn’t help herself: "Why aren’t you moving? If you don’t walk, how are we going to get through? Kiki is carrying two bouquets, and it’s heavy!"
In fact, there was quite a bit of space beside them to pass through.
Having spent so much time with Maya, Scott had also learned her way of talking back.
"You think we’re not in a hurry? Look at these bouquets, we have to carry them with both hands to move. It’s not like it’s easy to just carry two bouquets; anyone can manage that with little effort, right?"
Kiki’s assistant finally noticed the rows of bouquets beside Maya and instantly looked displeased.
Kiki could no longer hold her expression either and didn’t want to lose face here, so she urged her assistant, "Stop standing around, let’s go!"
"We regularly see various candies in the updates you post, so we figured you must love them. That’s why this time the bouquets are candy!"
So the previous candy bouquets were from these two young girls? Maya thought briefly. After all, as they say, one’s hand doesn’t strike a smiling face. Maya really couldn’t treat them coldly.
"Thank you."
The amount of candy bouquets was astounding, and Maya and a few assistants had to carry them with full arms to take them away.
Maya could somewhat imagine she had encountered affluent fans who could just provide such a large amount of candy bouquets all at once.
"I can’t possibly finish eating them. Please don’t send more next time." The main reason was that Kiki had only two bouquets, and carrying so many herself wasn’t showing the lead female any decent respect. Yet, holding candy, Maya was reluctant to let go.
As Maya turned to leave, she could still hear the two young girls shouting, "When Wandering Beyond the Horizon screens, we’ll go support you, Maya. Maya, you’re the best!"
Once in the car, they put the candy bouquets in the trunk, and Scott was nearly moved to tears: "I’ve never encountered such touching fans before... It’s incredible how much they support Sister Meng..."

These days, Maya mostly stayed at home. Occasionally, she’d go for a small gig, and when there’s nothing much to do, she’d enjoy some afternoon tea or a fine meal, living the life.
Another delightful thing was no longer having to confront the female lead and being forced to follow the plot. She could do whatever she wanted now, and no one could restrain her, not even if she wanted to sleep in.
Maya was sitting on the sofa cracking sunflower seeds when she heard that Kiki took on a new show.
The protagonist’s life was indeed smooth, but ultimately, it wasn’t as free as the antagonist’s. Starting off with strong powers, then recklessly bullying the protagonist a bit, and finally retiring at home waiting to get defeated.
Maya cracked the sunflower seeds in her hand again.
Ian seemed to have an important contract these days, often seeing him return late and leave early. Even though he came home late, Ian insisted on coming back every day.
When Ian returned home, exhausted, Maya was already lying in bed preparing to sleep.
Hearing Ian’s approaching footsteps, Maya didn’t intend to open her eyes.
Soon after, she heard the sound of him leaving, presumably to take a shower.
When the bed beside her slightly sank, Maya knew Ian had returned from cleaning up. She smelled his scent, though she wondered why she hadn’t fallen asleep yet. Could it be that too much milk tea causes insomnia?
Not long after, she heard the even breathing sounds, and yet Maya remained awake, catching Ian’s faint vetiver scent mixed with a hint of tobacco — a woodsy, soft fragrance paired with the sharp tobacco aroma, spicy yet gentle.
Maya opened her eyes, inwardly annoyed that she really shouldn’t have drunk milk tea before bed, now feeling alert and sleepless.
Maya turned over, now facing Ian.
Ian looked so tired, his eyes closed, with only the soft sounds of his breath reaching her. His features were as attractive as ever, with a high nose bridge and a clear, elegant jawline, as mysterious and majestic as a snowcapped mountain.
Perhaps too bored, Maya found her mind wandering. She suddenly remembered what Vincent Summers once said: Ian has always been an outstanding person from childhood to adulthood, a legendary figure in school, chased by countless admirers. Now he’s even more accomplished in his career, someone many aspire to but can’t reach...
Maya rarely agreed with Vincent Summers, but Ian indeed possessed the charm that could make one mesmerized.
Yet soon, Maya noticed something was off, as Ian’s cheeks flushed, breathing grew hotter, and his eyes remained closed.
Maya suddenly had a bad feeling, wondering if Ian might have a fever?
Maya reached out her hand to touch his forehead, and indeed, it was burning hot.
