The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1443: I’ve Never Forgotten My Original Intention
Nathalie Quinlan got into the car first, lazily replying to him: "We’ll talk about it next time."
She didn’t refuse, which probably meant she agreed.
Amadeus Yancey was in high spirits. He got in the car behind her, pulled the car door shut, and instructed the driver in front: "Drive, back to Rhine."
"Okay, Mr. Yancey."
The Yancey Family driver kept his eyes and nose straight, not daring to take an extra glance. He pressed down on the accelerator, and the car smoothly turned in the direction of the night.
The girl had been busy for the whole day and was already tired. Under the duckbill cap, her fair face was covered with fatigue. Her beautiful eyes half-closed, and as soon as she got in the car, her eyelids began to battle with each other.
Amadeus Yancey took a blanket from the car and placed it over her legs, then pressed the car window down to let the night breeze from outside blow in.
Nathalie Quinlan comfortably yawned, lazily leaned back, planning to close her eyes and relax on the road.
"What’s your plan after the software competition is over?" The man’s voice was soothing and pleasant.
Nathalie Quinlan took it as a lullaby; despite her weariness, she opened her eyes just a bit, yawned again, and raised her hand to press the cap brim down, saying: "No plans."
"For the next few days, I’ll probably be staying at the school. Professor Dunn said there are some award forms that I still need to fill out."
She thought for a moment, rubbing her brow in frustration, and added: "I haven’t attended lectures at the department for a long time. Regardless, since I’m still at Tsinghua University, I definitely need to attend a few lectures; otherwise, skipping too many classes might prevent me from graduating."
"Does Nathalie the Goddess even need a college diploma?" Amadeus Yancey couldn’t help but tease her: "I thought you didn’t care about these things..."
Inside the car was his deep and tantalizing voice.
Nathalie Quinlan’s heart was stirred by an invisible hand, causing ripples to surface.
She turned her head, stared at the man’s face for about three seconds, then looked away, remembering her recently healed lip corner, she gave up the thought.
"From the first day I started learning medicine, I always reminded myself to maintain a sense of reverence on this path, because each detail of ours could determine a human life, and nothing weighs more than life."
Nathalie Quinlan’s gaze fell on the night scenery outside the car window, and though her voice was light, it carried significant weight.
"I’ve never forgotten my original intention."
The sea of learning is boundless, and even a genius must strive a lifetime to break through their bottleneck.
Mr. Avalon is a towering figure in the medical world.
She had never once considered herself to have surpassed the achievements of the older generation.
What she valued was not the diploma.
But the respect for the older generation. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
After Nathalie Quinlan finished speaking, the car fell silent.
She didn’t intend to be emotionally stirring; just then, the phone in her hand lit up.
Nathalie Quinlan picked it up, unlocked it with her fingerprint, and looked down.
It was a message from Khendy Lordon.
[Next Saturday at Imperial Hotel for lunch?]
Nathalie Quinlan suddenly remembered that Khendy was still in Beijing and hadn’t left, feeling a bit of a headache. However, she replied nonetheless.
[What time?]
The other party quickly replied.
[Around noon, before twelve, depending on your schedule.]
After seeing the time and location, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t reply further.
She squinted her eyes, suddenly recollecting that next Saturday coincided with Caryn Zachmann’s family recognition banquet.
Nathalie Quinlan’s slender fingers tapped several times on the phone case, seemingly pondering whether to tell Khendy Lordon to change the place.
But she thought it over and abandoned the idea.
Caryn Zachmann’s recognition banquet had nothing to do with her. The Imperial Hotel was so vast, there was a high probability they wouldn’t cross paths.
