Over on Lin Yiyi’s end, her hand was held under the dinner table!

If she moved a little and the table cloth rose up a little, others would be able to see right away!

Exciting?

That was, indeed, quite exciting!

She could feel her palm burning and the clingy heat. More importantly, he was holding her tightly, as though he was holding onto her as hard as he could.

She picked up the wine glass with her other hand and said in a low voice to him through gritted teeth. “Are you done yet? How much longer are you going to hold onto my hand?”

She didn’t want to be the party pooper but…

Her hand was hurting already!

If she was to look at her hand right now, she was sure it was reddened.

Lu Xun looked over at her secretly but didn’t say a word.

He, too, was somewhat nervous right now.

It was so hard to believe, but he had finally accomplished what he had always wanted to do!

That nervousness, though, was all gone in the next second when someone stomped down hard on his foot.

Who would have stomped on him purposefully?

And the answer was to be revealed any second now!

The pain made Lu Xun let go of his hand reflexively.

And Lin Yiyi’s poor little hand finally regained its freedom…

Lin Yiyi immediately brought her hand up and examined it.

Sure enough, there were still two deep finger prints on it!

He had noticed that as well.

“I didn’t do that on purpose…”

He was so nervous earlier that he didn’t notice that at all.

More importantly, if he was to recall how it felt holding onto her hand. All he could remember was his palm sweating from the heat, and that was it!

Lin Yiyi gave him a sideway stare and placed her hands on the top of the table to “cool off”.

She wasn’t all that upset at him.

But they were in public and she wasn’t feeling very comfortable.

All of a sudden, her hand that was “cooling off” was held again without warning!

This time, Lu Xun had placed his hand over her gently.

His hand was very pretty. His fingers were long and slender, and his knuckles prominent. When he held onto her hand gently, along with it came an indescribably shudder.

As though the lively banquet, the fancily dressed people around them, and the crisscrossed lights had all blurred out and the only thing that was clear like day was the heat radiating up from their held hands.

Lin Yiyi looked down at her hand that was held tightly by Lu Xun and Lu Xun was looking down at her.

The entire table was force fed plentiful of dog food!

Everybody exchanged a look stealthily and everybody got it.

These two had made it onto the most trending list last month over National Holiday.

Most, however, did not give the incident much thought at the time. Just like Yao Sen, they assumed it was just another coincidence. One of them must have brought her two kids to the amusement park and the other one brought his nephew. It was only normal that the two would chat with each other when they ran into each other given their work relationship. And it was by chance that their photos were taken.

Nobody at the table thought the two of them were really a couple!

But then, why would they talk to each other so intimately if they weren’t a couple?

And, if they weren’t a couple, why were they holding hands?

It was as though they were just being funny on purpose!

Luckily, the lights in the banquet hall dimmed followed by dazzling lights on stage.

Noticing that the attention of the others around them who were giving them awkward looks had been drawn away, Lin Yiyi instantly let out a sigh of relief.
