Chapter 103: The Counselling Session

Nicholas looked at him and raised his brows as if asking an explanation.

Abigail coughed and said, "I did bump into her when in the mall earlier... But I didn’t reveal my identity. I made sure to fool her and I did. So I don’t think it should be her."

Nicholas nodded, but he wanted to check that girl out just to be sure. Of course, he couldn’t get William to do that job since that woman was the man’s girlfriend.

William wouldn’t be a fine choice for this job. Thus, he decided to take this matter in his own hands at the moment.

"I’ll return to my room," he said and started rushing upstairs.

Even Asher didn’t want to stand by and wait for Nicholas to get all the credit to find the culprit behind this. Even though he didn’t want to race, he still wanted to show off his skills. Thus, he said, "I’ll also try my best to find the stalker."

After speaking those words, he also went upstairs with a dark expression on his face.

Abigail, who was left behind by the two of them, blinked and stared at them for a while and sighed. She took out her phone and decided to call Owen.

After all, she also had to talk to him about her decision to stay away from these two men emotionally.

So she also returned to her room and called Owen directly.

The man picked up quickly and said, "Abigail."

He was a bit busy at the moment, handling a client, but Abigail was also his patient. He can’t just ignore her. Thus, he called his assistant and said, "Can you manage this patient?"

The assistant nodded as Owen walked out of his room and entered the balcony. Honestly, Abigail’s condition was more serious than the patient he met in his office. Thus, he decided to give Abigail a little bit of his time.

"Doctor!" Abigail realized that she had to say his name as she cleared her throat and said, "I mean, Owen! I have good news and bad news. Which one would you like to hear first?"

"Anything."

"Okay, the good news is that I can earn now! I have got a job!" Abigail’s eyes brightened up at the thought of acting a villain and said, "I can work my favorite job ever!"

"Good for you." Owen nodded. In his opinion, if a patient with terrible mood swings works his favorite job, the chances of his situation worsening and going bipolar would reduce. Thus, he encouraged her in this.

"But..." Abigail frowned upon thinking of the flowers downstairs. "I have got a stalker I think. Someone sent a bouquet at my place, but how is this possible? Where I live... I haven’t been out of my new home for more than two days!"

Owen’s brows furrowed. This situation was drastic for his patient. He would usually get celebrity patients with bipolars or even worse mental conditions. Then he would recommend them to stay at home and take a break. If they can’t take a break, just tighten the security.

Before he could speak a single word, Abigail continued, "Then there’s also a murderer who has been killing people around me, especially the ones who have offended me. That skull killer you remember, that’s been killing people who offended me."

When she blurted out everything, her shoulders relaxed as she pouted. "That’s why, I have changed my identity with the help of my husband and cousin-in-law and went to another country, but trouble has still followed me here!"

"Okay." Owen finally realized that her situation was terrible, so much so that her chances of going bipolar has increased several folds! If something happened once again, such as killings and other events, Abigail would probably end up terribly sick and even jump off a bridge like before.

His brows furrowed as he suggested. "Why don’t you stay at the hospital? I’ll make sure to keep you isolated, and other than your husband, no one can visit you."

Abigail liked the sound of that, but....

How could she let go of her chance of playing a villain so easily? She pursed her lips and said, "Owen... Can you let me play this role just once? I really like that character!"

"..." Owen sighed and shrugged. "I was only suggesting you for your safety. Rest is your choice. Is there anything else you want to tell me?"

"Yes!" Abigail almost forgot about it as she said, "I have decided not to give my husband or my cousin-in-law any hints anymore. I’ll not think of them romantically anymore and wait to earn money before getting out of this unwanted marriage."

"Are you sure?" Owen thought of her situation and said, "Whatever is your choice, make sure you’re completely safe before taking this step. I’d still suggest that you stay in the hospital full-time for your safety."

"Yes! After I earn that much money and throw it in Nicholas’s face, I’d surely come and stay at the hospital!"

Owen relaxed, but he still didn’t think it was a good choice to continue working considering her situation. At the very least, she should tighten her security, right?

"Did you talk to the police?"

Abigail blinked and tilted her head. "No. Should I have? I let the men handle the situation for me because I don’t know what to do."

"Okay." Owen thought about it and said, "You can contact me whenever you want. I’ll pick up the first thing I notice, and if there’s a situation where police are needed, I’ll contact them for you."

After all, he didn’t want his patient dying on him like that.

"But of course," Owen added, "I also have international contacts. So don’t worry about it."

"Thank you!" Abigail cheered up quickly as her expression transformed into a happy one in the blink of an eye.

"What about your medicines? Do they work?"

"Better than before!" Abigail was happy that she had someone to talk to despite the situation. After all, Owen was her doctor. Shouldn’t he guide her properly? "I can control my emotions a little more than those medicines!"

"That’s good, but don’t depend on those medicines all your life." Owen looked at the time and said, "Why don’t we have a counseling session in a while?"

"Sure!" Abigail said, "I don’t have any work anyway."
