The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 115: What The Heck Is Wrong With Him?!
Even though Abigail was depressed, she could still read other people’s emotions, especially the handsome eye candies around her. Thus, she immediately understood that the young man was probably extremely conflicted as he tried his best to make a proper decision but couldn’t.
Thus, she added further, "Asher, you can come to the set everyday and keep an eye on me. Increase ten or twenty bodyguards around me if you want. If you’re still not sure, just make the director do my roles faster. I only want to do this role. After this, I’ll go anywhere you want to go!"
Asher looked at the woman in front of his eyes as he hesitated.
"Don’t overthink!" Abigail quickly held his hands and said, "I’ll not leave you even for a second! I promise!"
And Asher was convinced. He finally let out a breath and said, "Alright. I’ll talk to Nicholas."
Easier said than done. He was about to leave when he realized that Abigail didn’t let go of his hand and even held it firmly, stopping him from going further.
"Don’t. You two will only fight." Abigail sniffed as she took a few deep breaths. Thanks to those medicines, she could still control her emotions well and stop herself from falling into depression. "Let me."
Asher still looked at her worriedly. He had seen how angry the man was after seeing the posts online. Ah, this was all his fault. If only he had been more careful and stopped people from shooting those reels and shorts.
But of course, he will be careful from now on. He would properly care for the lady and protect her with all his heart and soul.
Abigail took a deep breath and gave him a small smile. "Don’t worry. I have got it."
After saying those words, she started climbing the stairs, heading toward her room because she knew there was where Nicholas must be, packing her bags.
Just then, she remembered a very important thing! She had forgotten to turn off her laptop in which she was writing that novel! What if he ended up reading it all?!
Worse, she had recently started writing about her doctor in her previous life! Oh damn, now he would become even more jealous!
Abigail increased her pace as she climbed the stairs with a quickened pace.
When she reached her room, her fear was deemed true. Her husband was indeed staring at the laptop with a serious expression on his face.
He seemed to have heard the sound of the door opening as he raised his head and stared at Abigail’s direction with an emotionless face. Even the latter couldn’t figure out what he felt in his heart.
Abigail hesitated as she asked, "Husband... I have something to say to you."
Nicholas nodded and shut the laptop, keeping it aside. He crossed his arms on his chest and said coolly, "Go ahead."
"Uh..." Abigail felt like something was wrong with her husband, but she couldn’t point it out. Thus, she poured out her heart in front of him and blurted out everything in her heart. "Nicholas, can you please let me play that role? Please? It’s not like I will never get a chance like this, but Lily’s character was meant for me! Okay, I understand it’s about my safety, and I promise you that Asher will surely be there, and you can also attend the shoot and stand by my side at all times and keep an eye on me. What I’m saying-"
"Okay."
"-and I promise- What?" Abigail looked up at her husband with a confused expression on her face. She again asked, tilting her head as if she hadn’t heard right. "What did you just say?"
"I said okay." Nicholas walked over and looked down at her. "Rest for a while."
After saying that, he left the room as if nothing had happened.
Abigail was so confused that she didn’t know what to do anymore. Her husband, who had walked ahead of her to pack her bags actually agreed?! What the heck was wrong with him?!
No, it couldn’t be that her bipolar disorder spread to him, right? Her doctor in her previous world had surely said that it wasn’t a terrible disease, and it definitely wasn’t contagious.
Then... What the heck could explain his sudden change of emotions?!
Abigail glanced at her laptop and walked over, opening it. Thankfully, it was shut off, so she could see what was open on the screen. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Nothing?
Only a browser history...
But she remembered keeping her docs open... How did this happen?!
No, it could be that she forgot about it after closing it. After all, she was working in a hurry last night and even forgot to turn off her laptop.
Thus, she shrugged it off and threw the topic to the back of her head.
Now that she was here, she would make sure to act her best in that role as Lily! Ah, it was such good news!
She didn’t know that when Nicholas returned to his study, he leaned against the door and held his head. Drops of sweat rolled down his temples as unwanted memories flooded his brain.
That novel she wrote...
His head started hurting ever since then, making it impossible for him to think properly. It took him all of his effort to leave her room with an expressionless face.
But now, he couldn’t hold it anymore. He walked over to his seat and sat there, rubbing his temples.
It almost felt like someone was hammering from the inside.
Sure, he couldn’t remember most of it, but those flashes of memories did involve Abigail, a crazy and similar one to his wife.
What was going on?
He took a few deep breaths as he continued rubbing his forehead. Just then, the door of his study was knocked.
"I’m coming in," Asher spoke from the outside with a trace of anxiety in his voice. "You, you don’t have to force her to go with you. I already promised her that role. And I’m sure if we both join hands, we can protect her. Just think reasonable, yeah? Nicholas, what the heck are you thinking? Open up!"
"I agree." Nicholas gasped because of pain as he rubbed his forehead. "Go back. I have some work. Let’s discuss this tomorrow."
