The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 186: Mom?!
On the other side, the villain who was still awake deep into the night stared at the points as it rose rapidly. The corners of her lips ticked up to form a cold smile as she whispered to herself, "Finally. Now I can buy the props I needed and create hell for the author who created my misery."
She quickly purchased everything that she needed at the moment and turned off the transparent window. Then she hopped off the couch and walked downstairs.
Since things had already reached this point, she should get down to business.
Thus, she instantly called Abigail.
At this time, late night urged Abigail and Nicholas to sleep so soundly that even after one ring, none of them woke up. Both of them were exhausted after the entire night’s worth of work. Not just once, they repeated it multiple times.
Thus, they were already naked at this point as Abigail frowned and fumbled around for her phone. Once she found it on the cabinet, she picked it up and put it on her ears, saying, "Helloooo."
Her voice was slurred as she seemed already in sleep. She was only partly awake through her subconscious mind, nothing else.
"Abigail dear, can you come home?" Rosa’s voice looked hesitant as she said, "It’s urgent."
Now Abigail was fully awake after hearing her words. She blinked as the sleepiness disappeared from her eyes without a single trace. She nodded as she clutched the blanket around her body and frowned. "Something happened mom?"
"Yes..." Rosa’s voice seemed a little sad as she said, "It did. Can you return?"
"What happened?" Abigail pursed her lips and went over to find her dress, wearing it once again. "Someone sneaked inside our house?"
"No no." Rosa sniffed and said, "My boyfriend broke up with me."
"...." Abigail’s eyes widened as she shut her mouth, standing there completely speechless. "You had a boyfriend?"
"That’s why I called you." Rosa sniffed and sobbed a little. "Can you come and see me?"
Abigail looked at her husband and was about to wake him up before she heard the woman’s voice through the speakers once again. "Don’t wake him up. I’ll tell him you’re with me. I’ve sent a driver for you. He should have reached the hotel already. Can you come fast?"
"Okay!" Abigail didn’t hesitate before promising it to her. "I’m coming."
Then she hung up. Even though she knew that Rosa would tell him everything, she still wanted to leave a message for him. Thus, she tore a piece of paper from a diary on the cabinet and wrote down:
"Dear husband, I’m going to see mom. She needs me for some reason."
After that, she put it beneath Nicholas’s phone and looked at the man’s face for a moment. Ah, he was so handsome that she wanted to continue to stare at him at all times. Even if she spent eternity staring at him, it wouldn’t be enough.
It was probably because she had fallen in love with him, deeply at that. Now even if she wanted, she wouldn’t be able to get away from him even in her dreams.
Her eyes softened. These days, she felt like her bipolar disorder had tamed, and she knew it was merely because of him. Since he had helped her a lot both physically and mentally, and since he had given her so much love, she would definitely stay with him, carry his child for the rest of her life.
Her chest blossomed with traces of love as she bent over, lightly kissing on his lips, and walking away from the hotel.
It didn’t take time for her to reach the villa. The driver also hurried back as if something would go wrong if he delayed.
Soon enough, as she reached, she looked around the hall of the villa to find her mother-in-law only to see that the entire place was shrouded with darkness. She tilted her head and squinted her eyes as she walked further. For some reason, her heart sank as she glanced around, feeling goosebumps rising on her arms.
Something was wrong. She could feel it in her bones.
She took a deep breath and said to herself, "It’s okay Abigail. Something must be wrong with the light."
"Abigail." Rosa’s voice echoed from the darkness as she said, "Good that you’re here. Can you come up to me?"
For some reason, Abigail could feel a trace of coldness from her voice, making Abigail frown. She pursed her lips as she walked forward, still feeling frightened.
"Mom, where are you....?" Abigail asked, not wanting to stay in the darkness anymore. Thus, she took a step back hesitantly as she felt her heartbeat thumping in her chest, but this time, it was thumping loudly because of fear.
"Abigail dear, I can’t see in the dark. Something’s wrong with the lights, and I can’t walk. I feel too depressed. Can you come to me? Just follow the voice."
Even though Abigail felt strange, she still gritted her teeth and walked forward slowly. Fortunately, as she raised her hand to search for support, she ended up bumping into the table. She held it firmly, walking ahead while touching it.
The more she walked, the more her heart shivered in fear. She could sense it in the air that something was wrong. She had a terrible premonition the moment she had entered into this darkest place, but she still persisted since it was her mother-in-law.
Oh no, something happened to her mother in law, didn’t it?!
Abigail’s heartbeat spiked up again at the thought as she quickened her pace. "Mom. I’m coming!"
Her voice sounded confident this time with a trace of nervousness and anxiety at the same time. She walked forward holding chairs, tables, and other things in the living room before finally reaching a door. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Ah, this should be the kitchen...
Just as she was about to grope around to walk ahead, suddenly someone sprayed something on her face, making her entire being drenched with cold liquid that smelled more like a disinfectant. Her nose wrinkled in disgust as she coughed and said, "Mom!"
Before she could react, though, her head felt dizzy as she instantly fell back to the ground with a thud.
All of a sudden, lights turned on revealing a cold and indifferent figure of Rosa who was standing with a spray in her hand. She looked more like the Goddess of death at the moment who could kill anyone and everyone as long as she wished.
Of course, it wasn’t easy for her to deal with Abigail all alone. The fact that there were so many bodyguards around her made it difficult for her to approach her easily. Thus, she only had to resort to using special props from the system to make them busy while she dealt with her ’daughter-in-law!’
