The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 199: Jump!
Early in the morning, when Owen woke up, he found Abigail already awake and she had even taken her bath herself this time. He was surprised to see her like this because these days, he had been helping her take a bath every single day.
Of course, at first, it was indeed very awkward, but after two days, he helped her bathe without any hesitation, even enjoying his view a little bit more than he should.
But that was it. He knew that was all the romance he would ever get from her. If she came around, he might be able to get more, but that was for the future if they even had a future together.
Thus, seeing that Abigail was standing on her feet and had even taken her bath properly, his eyes lit up as he jumped off the bed. Then he held the woman’s shoulders as he asked hurriedly, "Abigail! Are you okay?"
Abigail nodded. Even though she couldn’t speak at all, she smiled and felt like this kind of life was better than the city. There, she had to be afraid of the killer or other people who could hurt her husband, but right now, with Owen, she had never felt so relaxed as with him.
She even lifted her hand and showed her ’biceps’ as if telling the man that she was completely fine. Of course, it was all thanks to the care he showed all these days and the medicines she ate. Not just that, she was even given herbs to eat for extra nutrition, and she believed that it helped a lot in healing her thoroughly this time.
Thus, despite being a little weak, she felt like she could at least do her basics.
Owen relaxed after seeing her reaction. Honestly, he felt a little bit regretful upon seeing that he wouldn’t be able to bathe her after today. Still, he smiled and said, "It’s fine. I’ll be back after a few hours. You can have morning snacks."
He spoke and walked to the bathroom. After having a small breakfast, he headed toward the main door and Abigail followed after him as she pursed her lips. She almost looked as if she wanted to speak something but held back because of her condition.
Finally, she couldn’t hold back and grabbed his hand before he could leave. Owen turned back and looked at her, glancing at her in confusion. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"What’s up?"
Abigail walked closer and before he could react, she put her palms over his eyes and leaned over, and softly, gently, gave him a feather-like kiss on his lips. It was so fleeting that Owen almost felt like he had just imagined that because he was obsessed with her.
After that, she removed her hand, but before he could catch a glimpse of her face, she pushed him out and shut the door, not even showing her face.
Owen stood outside the door with a confused look on his face. He was so shocked that he couldn’t react for a moment, but when he did, his face turned red and his blush even reached the tips of his ears, making him look extremely adorable.
Abigail giggled as she saw his reaction from the window and saw how the man walked away in a daze.
Owen was still daydreaming about that fleeting kiss just now when he bumped into the village chief on the way. The man looked a little panicked as he walked onward. As soon as Owen appeared, the old man’s body stiffened as he grabbed the young man’s shoulder and said, "Can you help me?"
"What’s up?"
The village chief shook his head and said, "Not here. Come with me."
Owen didn’t doubt the man as they walked toward the forest and soon enough, they reached the cliff. He looked about in confusion as he turned toward the man and asked, "So?"
At this time, he was standing closer to the cliff. The village chief looked at the man with a trace of reluctance in his eyes. He looked like he had just eaten a terrible thing that made his face look a bit constipated, but he still took a deep breath and said, "I’m sorry."
"What....?"
"I’m sorry.... She forced me to do this, otherwise, she would kill my family...." Then, the village chief raised his hand and pushed the young man down.
Owen fell down the cliff in utter confusion and heartache. He looked at the man with a hint of shock floating in his eyes.
But as he registered the old man’s words, he realized what had happened.
Rosa.
But it was already too late. He couldn’t even warn Abigail anymore.
Back in the house, Abigail was already bored as she watched TV all the time, but even when it was past the time, Owen still hadn’t returned. She frowned in confusion as she sat up, hesitating before finally taking a paper and pen and walking out.
As she walked outside the house, she noticed a piece of paper placed on the ground and stuck with some gum. She bent over and picked it up. Simple words written there made her entire blood run cold and frozen.
"Owen died too. Was this what you wanted?"
Abigail’s hand trembled as she stared at the paper in shock.
Did he die?
Died....?
No.....
As if to give her proof, the village chief came over to the house at the same time, dragging a dead body smashed to the point that it wasn’t even recognizable anymore. He dragged the body on some kind of plank as he looked very depressed.
He placed the dead body on the ground and walked over to Abigail, placing his hand on the woman’s shoulder. He sighed and said, "I’m sorry. Owen had a terrible accident. I... I...." Tears dropped from his eyes as he couldn’t say anymore.
That woman came early in the morning kidnapped his little grandson and threatened to kill him. When he didn’t listen and refused to kill Owen, that woman cut off his grandson’s finger right in front of his own eyes.
What other choice did he have?! He had to do this despite his reluctance!
Abigail trembled. She looked at the dead body with a pale face as she had difficulty breathing.
No.... This wasn’t possible....
Even Owen.....
No... Please, someone, tell her this was a joke... Please, someone, do something.....
Abigail pushed the man aside and rushed outside, by passing the body and heading toward the forest, deeper and deeper until she went toward the cliff.
This must be the cliff from where he must have been pushed, right?
Abigail wasn’t a fool. She knew very well how and why Owen died. It must be that killer. Otherwise who would be ruthless enough?
But she didn’t understand why this was the case. She didn’t get what the villain would get other than revenge. But before she could think about it, the villain’s voice came from her back.
"I won’t let you die, no matter what you do. The key to your death is in my hand." Rosa raised her hand and showed a button as a crazed smile formed on her lips. "Even if you go kill yourself, you won’t be able to return to your real body, and you’ll get trapped here forever and ever. I’ll go replace you and even get married to Silas on your behalf.
"After all, he loves Abigail so much that he didn’t hesitate before jumping into this broken system, awakening me." Rosa’s eyes gleamed with joy as she walked forward and challenged the woman, "C’mon, go ahead. Jump."
Abigail stumbled and swallowed, taking a few deep breaths.
Traces of anger suddenly spiked up in her heart. Hearing those words, she got a glimpse of the truth and realized that this world might not be true.
Ordinary people would be depressed, but Rosa probably didn’t know what kind of crazy girl Abigail was. All this time, she had been holding herself back for the sake of her husband. But not anymore.
Wasn’t this world a fake? It means she could do whatever she wanted!
A crazed smile appeared on her face as she looked back at Rosa. Even though she couldn’t speak a single word, her glance was enough to make Rosa frown. She even glanced at the stats and was shocked to see that her stats had progressed to 100%.
Her brows furrowed deeper.
What had she missed out on?
Just as she was looking at the stats window, her wrist was grabbed as she felt someone pulling forward. Before she could react, Abigail had already jumped over the cliff with her.
