Chapter 196

After the class ended, Song Luokui left, with some people following her. Along the way, they had many questions, mostly personal ones.

"Senior, is your boyfriend handsome? If not, I feel he wouldn't be good enough for you."

"Senior, you're so beautiful. It would be great if you became a celebrity. I'd definitely be your biggest fan."

"Senior, will you teach us again next time? I love listening to your lectures." Mainly because they loved looking at her face.

"Senior, can I add you on WeChat? Can I ask you questions about studying?"

Song Luokui: "..." Although everyone was very enthusiastic, she replied, "Handsome, not becoming a celebrity, not sure about next time, and no."

Downstairs, a luxury car was waiting by the roadside. Song Luokui said goodbye to them, "I'm heading back now, bye."

Before Song Luokui could reach the car, a chauffeur in a suit and white gloves got out and opened the door for her. Song Luokui got in, and the chauffeur closed the door before getting back in the driver's seat and driving away.

Everyone looked at the expensive car and then at the license plate. "Oh my God, our senior must be either rich or noble."

"She's getting married next month, so she must be marrying someone wealthy, right?"

"Definitely. How could someone from a family like that marry an ordinary person?"

Once in the car, Song Luokui let out a sigh of relief. She first reported to her supervisor, then Chi Yu called her. "How was your class today? Everything okay?"

Song Luokui: "It went well. Just finished now."

Chi Yu: "Do you have anything else this morning? Want to come over? I've booked a restaurant for lunch. Shall we eat together?"

Song Luokui thought for a moment and realized she had nothing else planned for the morning. "Alright, but I need to go to the company in the afternoon."

"Okay."

Song Luokui asked the driver to take her to Shan Yu Group. She spent a little time playing in Chi Yu's office before they went out for lunch.

By now, the whole company had gotten used to her presence, as Song Luokui often visited. People would greet her with "Hello, Madame."

At first, Song Luokui wasn't used to it, but she gradually became accustomed.

Meanwhile, Yu Chi Yan had finally finished investigating Song Luokui. First-year graduate student, senior to him, and already had a boyfriend.

Having a boyfriend wasn't a problem; he could still try to win her over. He didn't believe that with his capabilities and looks, he couldn't succeed.

However, he couldn't find her on campus after that. He tried looking for her, but Song Luokui rarely stayed at school unless she had something to do.

A month later, he finally saw her at a wedding, but... the senior had become the bride.

The night before the wedding, Song Luokui felt thirsty and found no water in her room, so she stepped out. She discovered Song Luosheng smoking on the balcony. It was already very late.

"Brother?" Song Luokui approached him.

Song Luosheng turned around, looked at her, and said, "Kui Kui." He immediately put out his cigarette.

"Brother, what's wrong? Why aren't you sleeping so late?"

Song Luosheng patted her head, "Tomorrow, you're getting married." He seemed like an old father worrying about his daughter. "After this, I won't be able to see you at home anymore."

Song Luokui: "I'll still come back home." She hugged his arm. "You'll always be my brother, and you can come to my place for dinner too, you know?"

Song Luosheng reminisced about the past: "When you were little, you were just this big, and now you're getting married. Kui Kui... can you not get married?"

Song Luokui looked up, "Brother, the wedding is tomorrow."

Song Luosheng put his arm around her shoulders and sighed, "I know, I just can't bear to let you go." They had grown up together, and now his sister would belong to another family, calling her old home "maiden home" when she visited.

Song Luokui hugged him back, "I'll always be your sister. And you'll always be my best brother. Brother, you're the most handsome."

Song Luosheng paused, then patted her back, "If Chi Yu ever bullies you, I won't let him off the hook."

Song Luokui: "Forget about you, I wouldn't let him off either."

Song Luosheng: "Go rest now. Don't you have to get up early tomorrow?"

Song Luokui: "Mm-hmm, you should sleep early too, brother. Don't smoke too much, it's bad for your health."

"Okay."

Song Luokui left to rest, while Song Luosheng stood on the balcony for a long time before going to bed...

The wedding would be held at the estate, which was where the couple would live afterward. They had started decorating a week in advance.

It was even grander than the engagement. Only those with invitations could enter. The Yu family had managed to get an invitation through some connections.

This invitation was something many people wanted but couldn't obtain.

The estate was huge. One side of the parking lot was full of luxury cars. Not only that, there were plainclothes bodyguards guarding the foot of the mountain, and men in suits patrolling inside. Previously, all facilities had been checked, including fire safety measures.

New carpets had been laid, and everything had been polished. The entire estate looked brand new.

Due to the grand scale of the event, there was even a traffic jam on the road.

Song Luokui was getting ready at her family home in the compound. She was dressed in a traditional Chinese bridal outfit, with Zhang Xiyue, Lou Sasa, Weng Jiao, and Zhou Yue as her bridesmaids.

Song Luokui felt a bit sleepy, as she had woken up at around 3 AM and hadn't eaten much. Fortunately, Zhang Xiyue and the others had secretly slipped her some food.

At noon, Chi Yu arrived. He first went through several challenges before reaching the final two: his brother-in-law Song Luosheng and his friends were blocking the stairway.

It felt like they were kids again, with the two sides facing off.

They stared at each other for a while until the onlookers started to egg them on, "Come on, come on, give the red envelopes!"

Song Luosheng's hand twitched, and Chi Yu's side thought he was going to make a move. Instead, Song Luosheng held out his hand and said, "Red envelope."

Chi Yu paused, then quickly handed over an extra-large red envelope. Song Luosheng's friends also held out their hands one by one, saying, "Red envelope, red envelope."

After receiving the red envelopes, Song Luosheng crossed his arms and lifted his chin, "Call me."

Chi Yu: "Brother!" His voice was loud and clear.

Song Luosheng's friends all cheered, "We won! We won! Chi Yu called him brother!"

"Hahahahaha!"

Chi Yu's side also laughed. After all, it was a joyous day, so they didn't mind letting them have this victory.

Song Luosheng stepped aside, "You may pass."

Chi Yu: "Thank you, big brother." Then he walked up the stairs.

Finally, it was time for the bridesmaids to block the door. After stuffing many red envelopes and saying numerous kind words, they were at last allowed to enter. Once inside, they still had to find the bride's shoes before finally being able to meet her.

Afterward came the kneeling ceremony to pay respects to the ancestors and parents. Song Luokui, nestled in Chi Yu's arms, walked out of her family home. As she turned her head to look back at the doorway, she felt a sudden urge to cry.

She was getting married!
