The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 279: Can’t be jealous
Chapter 279: Can’t be jealous
Karissa’s heart ached to see Alfonso’s predicament. All she could think was she told him so, but at least she could breathe now. Cedric didn’t brutalize him as she had expected.
He only made a spectacle of Alfonso and made sure Alfonso did not advance to the final stage. Her eyes went back to the octagon where the battle just ended.
Cedric got off his horse pulling off his helmet, his raven hair dazzled under the sunlight. He was wearing a scarf that was covering his nose downward. Leaving only his eyes and upper half exposed.
His gold eyes searched the arena until they found the Von Drakkar booth. "Congratulations on advancing to the finals," one of the officiators gave Cedric his rose. As the prince made his way to the audience.
The prince didn’t verbally respond and only accepted the rose. His eyes found Abrielle as he climbed up. Her gaze was blank and unreadable.
Abrielle was surprised as she watched him; only his eyes were exposed under the scarf, but she could see a scar that ran across his left eye. She remembered she had described Cedric with that scar in the original novel, but he didn’t have any scar on his face in this world. Where did the scar come from? Unknown to her it was an illusion placed by Cedric.
Abrielle’s hands were sweaty and she was getting nervous remembering what happened in the garden last night. Cedric got to the Von Drakkar booth and stopped a row before Abrielle then broke eye contact with her.
His gold eyes shifted towards Eleanor’s direction, more like Callista’s. Cedric turned, walking towards Callista, all this while Abrielle’s eyes followed him. This was hilarious. She felt like laughing. He was angry and acting petty.
Under Abrielle’s gaze, he gave Callista a single red rose. Everyone was watching, and Abrielle could already imagine the story.
Cedric’s eyes trailed from Eleanor, who was doing her best to control her emotions, knowing he was the one behind Astrid’s situation. Still, the queen kept a serene expression despite the fact it felt like Cedric’s eyes were taunting her
She could not wait for when she would get rid of that look for good. Cedric’s gaze met Callista’s blue eyes.
The priestess was stunned, he presented the rose before her. His eyes were blank, but Callista didn’t notice, or she did and decided it was better to ignore it. "A rose for the maiden. The red colour will be perfect in your silver hair," Cedric said smoothly. Her cheeks went red.
"Cedric, I wasn’t expecting this," she gushed her hand reaching out to cover her lips. "But I can’t. You should give this to Abrielle. It suits her hair better." The priestess’s face was red; she was flabbergasted and put in a difficult situation. Her eyes sparkled, it was the first rose she had gotten since the start of the duel
"I know but this rose is for you. If you refuse I would rather give it to midnight to snack on." Cedric shrugged, Callista was stunned, her eyes trying to read him. The scar that ran across his eyes was distracting. It was the first time she saw his eyes without a mask.
"In that case I accept it. It is too valuable to be eaten by a horse." The priestess accepted it with the sweetest smile she could muster. One that would have been contagious to others but had no effect on Cedric. Her blue eyes reminded him of someone close by he refused to glance at.
"Smart choice, enjoy the rest of the day." Cedric chimed, pulling away. "Thank you. It’s beautiful."
Abrielle read Callista’s lips, it looked like she was saying thank you as she accepted the rose. The villainess felt like rolling her eyes; it would take more than this to make her feel jealous.
The more you tell yourself a lie you might end up believing it. It was hard to know what expression was on his face which was wrapped with a scarf. Abrielle did her best to maintain a serene expression.
None of this mattered; 48 hours left to fulfil the next request. After presenting Callista with the rose, Cedric left. He didn’t even kiss the fair lady’s arm.
This simple incident did give out a loud message that Abrielle understood; he kicked Alfonso out of the games and gave Callista his rose. Cedric was still mad because of last night.
He left without giving her another eye contact.

The Fourth day of the Rose duel was thrilling and packed with drama courtesy of Cedric Von Drakkar. By the end of the day, four contestants advanced to the next stage exactly like the novel. The same people as it was written.
Cedric Von Drakkar, Lucian Von Drakkar, Sebastian Nightshade and Eris Silverheart. It was surprising the general was still contesting after what happened. Abrielle guessed the novel was still influencing the events.
Abrielle sat in her carriage alone, her parents were spending time with Ava and Mikhail again. A child was a special blessing in the Nightshade family.
Abrielle didn’t get a single rose today, not even from Sebastian. He gave it to Annalise. It was not a big deal, it was a good thing Sebastian was going along with courting Annalise.
Her eyes were glued to the window as she rode back to the seaside castle. The Carriage came to a halt at the main entrance and the door was pulled opened
With the help of Evelyn, who rode in front, she got down from the carriage. "Thank you." The princess chimed.
"It was my duty " Evelyn bowed then cleared the way
Abrielle raised her dress and then made her way into the castle. It seemed a bit lonesome. It was better this way than having a psycho husband who was mad at her to be around. He will be back soon, unfortunately. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
Once she crossed the door, the butler bowed, welcoming her in. "Welcome back, Your Highness. Dinner will be ready soon." The butler informed her.
Abrielle nodded then continued in. A loud horse neighs caught Abrielle’s attention from outside. It was a messenger from the palace.
He rode quickly towards the doors and then quickly got off the horse. "I have urgent news from the palace. A letter from the court to Princess Abrielle Von Drakkar."
