The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 577: A kiss at the top
To hide her blushing cheeks, she dragged Cedric to the haunted house. It was eerie at first, her hand clutched his arms tightly.
Cedric was puzzled as to why she came here if it was scary. Then boo.... A monster suddenly popped out, causing her to jump into his arms, screaming. "Save me??" She cried clinging to him.
Cedric laughed and gave the actor one look that scared him to shit.
She ended up going through the entire maze of the haunted house in his arms.
It didn’t turn out to be as frightening as Abrielle expected. Cedric was scarier than the actors. His cold eyes were scaring them.
She laughed the entire time while Cedric kept a straight face, unimpressed by the actors who jumped out from the shadows and lost their ghost under his gaze.
"You call this scary?" he muttered when a man in a mask screamed behind them.
Abrielle almost doubled over laughing, clinging to his shoulders. "It’s supposed to be terrifying, not fun!" she giggled.
By the time they stepped out into the sunlight again, her cheeks hurt from smiling too much. Cedric was still grumbling but his lips curved up ever so slightly, and she caught it.
Next, she dragged him to the rollercoaster. Cedric eyed the towering tracks with suspicion. "This contraption doesn’t even have reins... How do people survive this?"
"You’ll see," she teased, tugging him into line.
When the ride started, Abrielle screamed at the top of her lungs, while Cedric sat rigidly; he didn’t even flinch the entire time. She couldn’t stop laughing at his expression. How could he keep a straight face?
"Never again," he muttered, but the warmth in his eyes betrayed him.
While she was laughing after they got down, Abrielle’s stomach suddenly hurt and she ran to a nearby restroom to throw up. Now he was the one laughing at her pale face.
"Traitor!!" She sneered at him, glaring hard. He only found it amusing and pulled her cheeks. She scoffed, then stormed off, knowing he would follow her like her shadow.
They tried the bumper cars next. Cedric quickly figured out the controls, and to Abrielle’s horror, he was far too skilled. He cornered her car again and again until she was laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes.
"You’re enjoying this way too much!" she yelled over the noise.
"Victory tastes sweet," he replied coolly, before crashing into her one last time. The hair band in his hair fell and his long hair ended up cascading down
It looked like a scene from a fairy tale, all the other drivers were dazzled, and Abrielle could only smile helplessly. Even with his face covered he was still good eye candy.
Afterwards, they went into the game house. Cedric won nearly every round, while Abrielle kept trying just for fun. He later had mercy on his wife and let her beat him a couple of times, which she taunted him for. "Losers town." She laughed like she wasn’t the one losing at first.
They won a golden fish, but Abrielle didn’t want it, so she gave it to a little girl. Her father failed miserably.
She made him wear silly hats and masks, and in the end, they both ended up in costumes, laughing until their sides hurt. Took several pictures with park characters and in the phone booth.
They shared snacks, popcorn, churros, cotton candy, and burgers. Abrielle was eating happily while Cedric kept watching her, his gaze soft, as if he loved nothing more than seeing her enjoy herself.
Abrielle heard of a new love tunnel and immediately knew they had to go.
They rode through the love tunnel. Abrielle closed her eyes, listening to the love songs, also humming to the tune, while Cedric simply rowed the boat slowly, his eyes never leaving her face. It felt peaceful, almost unreal, like they had stepped into a dream.
At the end, they were given a couple of charm bracelets. Still hyped up she pulled him along to try the punch meter. "Don’t punch too hard." She whispered in his ear while waiting for their turn.
It was Abrielle’s turn, and she punched like her life depended on it. It was pretty impressive with the onlookers cheering. "Come on, Cedric, it’s fun." She urged him like he hadn’t punched something before.
Cedric sighed, then gave the bag what he considered a light punch, and everyone went silent, aside from Abrielle, who was laughing her heart out. Cedric broke the park record in one punch.
Their arms were crossed together. Abrielle was feeding him some cookies while laughing about what happened. "I told you to punch lightly. Now they all lost their ghosts."
Cedric rolled his eyes, accepting another cookie from her, and he chewed lightly. " It’s not my fault they are weak." He grumbled so full of himself.
It was close to sunset, and she stopped staring at the sky. "Time really flies when you are having fun."
Abrielle suddenly pulled him by the hand, her eyes shining. "Come on! The Ferris wheel, we’ll see the whole city from the top!"
He followed without question, letting her excitement guide him.
Inside the cabin, as the wheel slowly rose, the park lights began to glow beneath them, blending with the soft orange of twilight. Abrielle leaned close to the glass, her eyes wide with wonder. "It’s beautiful... I’m so glad I got to have this day with you. I always wanted to go to a park with my boyfriend..." She turned, smiling shyly, "But I’m here with my husband instead."
Cedric’s gaze softened, his voice low. "If you love it this much, you could stay."
Her heart swelled. She laughed gently, eyes sparkling. "Anywhere is fine... as long as you’re there."
The wheel reached the very top and stopped. She had paid the operator for giving her a minute. The city lay beneath them, bathed in twilight, glowing like scattered jewels. Abrielle’s heart raced. Without thinking too much, she leaned in and kissed him unexpectedly. Cedric froze, his eyes wide, stunned by her sudden boldness.
She pulled back with a playful smile. "They say couples who kiss at the top stay together."
For a moment Cedric just stared at her, then his lips curved into a rare smile. His hand cupped her cheek as he pulled her back in, this time deepening the kiss, slow and unhurried, like he wanted to mark the moment into eternity.
The Ferris wheel carried them down again, but neither of them noticed. For them, time seemed to stop at the very top.
