The Werewolf King's Bride-Chapter 591: Sociopath
(From Blue’s Perspective)
"You will find nothing out of her," Cyan told me for the fifth time as he threw the ashes into the water. "Goodbye, bitch. You were good for nothing."
The ashes of that woman- Wind.
"You shouldn’t have burned her," I said, clutching Demian closer to my chest. He was crying, but both Cyan and I were ignoring it.
"I told her I would burn her if she did not tell us," he pointed out.
"But you actually should not have burned her. Not literally, Cyan!"
"I meant what I said. I always mean what I say," he said, shrugging. "Please, Blue, give me a fucking break and stop being this kindly and motherly woman. Sometimes talking to you feels like reading those self-help books."
Apparently, people in this world also need self-help books. For some reason, I thought self-help books only existed in my world.
Dion was clutching my gown with his tiny hands. He was holding onto my dress very tightly as if he was afraid. I took both my kids out for some air. Dem thought it was not okay for me to do that, but really, I did not need to listen to him about everything.
"Listen, you are being…"
"I’m being what? Damn, Blue, how the hell you are my sister with that kindly personality? Gosh, it is heinous!"
"Stop being dramatic and just listen to me. Just because you do not know what to do with someone, you cannot burn them!"
"What’s done is done. What are you gonna do about it?"
"What am I gonna…? Nothing, of course! Because there is nothing else to do! But it was not okay, Cyan!"
Involving Cyan was a bad idea. This guy loses his temper over anything. He literally burned this woman, gosh. I still could not wrap my head around it. Yeah, she was our enemy. But so what?
We could not just burn her. This was ridiculous.
"I am going back," I said.
"Yeah, I am coming too. I need a drink."
"Me too."
"Thank god, you are not pregnant. I thought you singlehandedly decided to increase the population."
"Fuck you!" I show my middle finger.
"Fuck…," Dion said without knowing what meaning this word had.
Cyan started laughing like the little shit he was. I roll my eyes and keep on walking. Dion runs to keep up, holding onto my gown while muttering the new word he had learned.
After returning, I told Dem everything that happened. He took the burning thing pretty normally.
"Where is Evelyn then?" he asked.
"Hell if I know."
"An idea?"
"I don’t know, Dem. All I know is that we have to find her. She has a kid and a husband and she is your sister. She cannot just vanish. We must find her."
"It’s your damn father again, Blue. If we can find him, we can find Evelyn too."
Was this the game Azure was talking about? If I won, I would get Evelyn. What if I did not win? What would happen to Evelyn then?
I did not tell Dem about the game. For some reason, I did not want to. I felt like I had to keep it a secret for some reason. Maybe it had something to do with how Azure told me about the game. He acted so nonchalant that it made me wonder if there was a catch. There had to be a catch.
It was Azure we were talking about after all.
Dion was still muttering that work like a mantra. I wished he would just stop.
"I can swear I have not taught him that word," Dem said. He thought I believed he taught our son that word since he was the one who swore the most.
"No, not you. It’s me. I told Cyan to fuck off and Dion heard it. I don’t know what he likes about this word. He keeps on saying it. It has been a while, still, he has not stopped."
"Might be the way it sounds. You have to admit it sounds rather satisfying."
"To you only," I rolled my eyes.
Dem was burping Demian. I would say it was an adorable thing, the way Demian burped. Dem liked doing it. I liked it too, but mostly, I liked to watch Dem do it.
"Anyway, I hope you are telling me all of it. Because something feels off." Stay connected via novelbuddy
’He knows me too well.’
"Off how?" I asked as if I had no idea what he was talking about.
"It seems like you are keeping something to yourself."
"I am not!" I say louder than I intended.
He looks at me sharply. "No? Okay then."
He did not believe me. Knowing Dem, it would be a matter of time before he exploded. He would get angry and start snapping at me until I told him what it was about.
I kept silent about the game the whole day. At night, Evan came to have a chat with us and also to play with Dion.

"Have you found anything about Lady Evelyn?" he asked.
"No. Not a thing."
What if the game was about finding Evelyn?
My head was spinning. I sat down in a chair and leaned my head on Dem’s shoulder. Demian was sleeping and Dion was showing Evan his toys. Dion liked Evan very much. It was like he knew what Evan did before he was born. I still could not forget that moment when Evan held up my boy and placed him on my chest.
"Feel unwell?" Dem asked, touching my forehead with his palm.
"Because of your brother, right?" Evan took my words out of my mouth. Because of my damn brother, of course. He drove me crazy all the time and never ever listened. He burned her, for god’s sake! Who did something like that?
"He did not do a wrong thing. At least, I don’t see anything wrong with it," Dem said. This was another sociopath.
"I need a drink."
