The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 360 - 284: Unaffordable
What was happening with the Dragon Clan in Aetheria, Luna Sutton didn’t know.
In the Lower Domain, over by Aerock.
After five or six days and nights of strenuous digging.
The red iron ore, malachite, and bluish copper ore here were almost completely mined, with only a scattering of ores left, not in large quantities.
Leaving one or two Beastmen behind to clean up, the rest of the Beastmen took the minerals back to the new settlement of The Wolf Tribe.
Finn Arcanus and Yuri Ashwood would transport a batch of minerals back every sunset, returning with empty baskets by dawn the next day.
Thus, the amount brought back this time wasn’t much, all freshly mined today.
The total was about thirty to forty baskets, but they were all packed to the brim.
To facilitate the transportation of ores, Luna Sutton had crafted several simple wooden carts a few days earlier. All mined ores were loaded onto them, tied securely with vines to prevent them from falling.
"These wooden carts are really handy, so convenient."
Malachi Arcanus pushed a wooden cart filled with minerals from behind, his eyes shining as he looked at Luna Sutton walking beside him, "Little Moon, are these from your world?"
Ever since he learned Little Moon’s secret, he realized all that talk of The Beast God’s guidance was nonsense, just an excuse from Little Moon.
The things Little Moon made all originated from their world.
Although he didn’t know what kind of world that was, it certainly had to be far more advanced than The Beast World Continent.
Luna Sutton was slightly taken aback, not expecting Malachi to suddenly ask that.
She gazed at the surrounding Beastmen, noticed they were all intently listening, and inwardly cursed: Malachi speaks without thinking.
How could such a question be asked so openly?
Isn’t that blatantly exposing that her identity was problematic?
Even though the Beastmen there already knew, it was better to mention it as little as possible.
She was unsure how to respond.
Kian Sterling looked displeased with his beautiful fox eyes, shot a tail at Malachi’s rear, and in a warm yet warning tone said, "Focus on pushing the cart, what’s with all the questions?"
Zeke Veridian cast a cold glance at Malachi, gathering a Wind Blade at his fingertips, "Say any more, and I won’t mind helping you loosen up a bit."
Malachi knew he had spoken out of turn, sheepishly shut his mouth, and quickened his pace with the cart.
The sun set, and the new city walls of The Wolf Tribe were completely finished, glowing with a bluish-grey hue in the twilight’s afterglow.
Serene and towering, the city walls stood dozens of meters high, its surface smoothed with clay mixed with rubble, with a protruding watchtower every hundred meters.
Lyle Sutton was leading the Beastmen to inspect the newly built walls, and upon seeing the mining team return, he immediately came over.
"Luna!"
Lyle approached his daughter, noticing that after not seeing her for a few days, she not only got tanner but also thinner, causing The Old Wolf King’s heart to ache instantly.
He was about to express his concern.
When he noticed Mael Valerius was not among them.
He paused for a moment, puzzled, "Luna, where’s that dragon brat? Why didn’t I see him?"
Luna Sutton felt a pang in her heart for a fraction of a second, but her face remained calm, "He returned to Aetheria."
Lyle immediately sensed something was off in his daughter’s demeanor, frowned and asked, "Returned to Aetheria? Why suddenly go back there? Did something happen?"
Corbin Crowley, fearing the Clan Leader would keep asking, promptly stepped in, "Clan Leader, this batch of red iron ore is of high purity, but we haven’t refined it yet; it’s still raw ore."
Lyle’s attention was indeed diverted, grabbing a piece of ore and weighing it, he found it quite heavy, much heavier than an ordinary stone.
He couldn’t discern red iron ore, only making a rough judgment by its weight.
"Indeed not bad, but we don’t know how to refine ores, don’t know how to forge, so..."
Placing the red iron ore back where it was, he seemed a bit troubled as he spoke.
Upon hearing this, Luna gave a light smile, "Don’t worry, Father, I have a way."
She turned and walked toward an open space, grabbed a wooden stick, and began drawing a furnace structure on the ground.
Lyle, Corbin, Kian, Zeke, Malachi, and Soren Phoenix instantly gathered around.
Rhys Blackwood instructed Finn and the others to unload the ores from the wooden cart at the designated location and also came over to watch.
Kian noticed it was getting a bit dark and hard to see the ground sketches, so he produced a trace of Golden Fox Fire on his fingertip for light, following her moving silhouette.
"Here, stack three layers of clay."
The stick traced a curve on the sandy ground, "Leave ventilation and feeding ports."
