The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 383 - 297: Hesperia (Part 2)
She instantly turned her gaze to Lian Phoenix: "Zeke was ambushed in the woods northwest of the tribe. Hurry over and help."
Lian Phoenix’s expression changed slightly upon hearing this, but he didn’t say much, transforming into a blaze and disappearing into the forest.
Mael Valerius squatted down, taking out a pill from his pocket: "No need for such trouble. I have a bone regeneration medication here."
"I can heal myself, no need for your fake kindness."
Luna Sutton couldn’t be bothered to look, and with a cold tone said, "If you really want to help, recall those dogs of The Dragon Clan, so they don’t go around hurting people."
Ready-made personnel, might as well make use of them.
Their life and death struggle isn’t as effective as a word from Mael Valerius.
Mael Valerius put away the pill with a light chuckle, "You really know how to get things done."
Despite his words, he stood up: "Give me a specific location, and I’ll help you resolve this trouble."
Without saying any more, she quickly provided him with the exact location of Zeke, Rhys Blackwood, and Soren Phoenix.
Despite her grievances against Mael Valerius, this wasn’t the time to dwell on it.
Saving lives is paramount.
Mael Valerius memorized the location, transforming into the Torch Dragon, ascending into the air and disappearing above Black Pine Forest in the blink of an eye.
Malachi Arcanus watched the direction in which Mael Valerius disappeared, sneering: "This Mad Dragon may have lost his memory, but he’s still good to you. Just worried that once he remembers, he might want to extract souls and kill."
His words were objective, without bias.
After hearing this, Luna Sutton merely glanced at Malachi Arcanus, without responding, focused on treating him.
Malachi Arcanus seeing this, wisely shut his mouth, speaking no more.
Once his broken bones were fully healed, she quickly turned to Caleb Manning, who was covered in wounds.
Caleb Manning’s golden eyes fixed on her, his expression was gentle and grateful, with a hint of hidden affection deep within.
However, he masked it well, not showing it.
Luna Sutton did not notice. Although Caleb Manning was badly injured, he was much better off than Malachi Arcanus.
In less than the time it takes for one incense stick to burn, his injuries were seventy to eighty percent healed.
Malachi Arcanus was already able to stand, albeit weak with no strength in his limbs, but at least he could stand, and his spirit was much better.
Seeing the two men’s injuries improve, Luna Sutton did not linger, promptly leaping onto Jago’s back: "To Hesperia!"
She hadn’t forgotten Rhys Blackwood’s snake tail was severed, a tail being immensely important to a snake.
"Luna, I’m going with you."
Malachi Arcanus had barely taken two steps, about to catch up when his legs suddenly gave out, causing him to fall face-first into the ground, looking extremely awkward.
Having heard the commotion, she turned back to see him sprawled on the ground, and her face broke into a mixed expression of crying and laughing, "You better stay put, Caleb, take him back."
That last sentence was clearly directed at Caleb Manning.
Leaving those words behind, she quickly rode Jago away from Black Pine Forest, heading towards Hesperia.
Struggling to stand, Malachi Arcanus shouted after Luna Sutton’s retreating figure: "Luna, wait for me, I’m coming too."
Unfortunately, Luna Sutton had already gone far, unable to hear his words.
Hesperia was located fifty li southwest of The Wolf Tribe.
Originally not far, but since she came from Black Pine Forest, starting from here made the journey a bit longer.
Luckily, Jago was fast, so the trip didn’t take much effort, arriving quickly.
Upon arrival, she didn’t see any traces of The Black-armored Guard.
Uncertain whether they were driven away by Corbin Crowley or if Mael Valerius had already come and driven them off.
Currently, Hesperia was in chaos, a large portion of the pool stained red with blood.
Jumping off Jago’s back, Luna Sutton immediately saw the severed snake tail, its dark scales reflecting a cold light in the sun, the break being bloody and jagged.
"Rhys Blackwood..."
She called anxiously, tears uncontrollably streaming down.
She bent down, heart aching, picking up the severed snake tail, planning to use the ability to reattach it to Rhys Blackwood later.
The snake tail was not only a body part but also a symbol of power.
"Luna..."
A weak voice came from behind the rocks by the lake.
Corbin Crowley was drenched in blood, impossible to discern whether it was all his own or not.
Overall, he was just covered in blood.
Using some unknown herbs, he was trying to stop Rhys Blackwood’s bleeding.
The Rhys Blackwood was in beast form, originally 20 meters long, now significantly shorter, with Blood Stopping Grass smeared over the stump of the tail.
Yet, the Blood Stopping Grass seemed ineffective; blood was still gushing out, unable to be stopped.
Her tears fell harder, green light emitting from her palm’s vine.
"The tail... can’t be reattached."
Rhys Blackwood’s snake eyes were blank, looking at the severed tail grasped tightly in her hands, his body moved slightly, his voice weak.
"Don’t move."
She wiped away tears, forcing herself to calm down, crouching by his stump, carefully placing the severed tail on his wound.
She pushed her Wood Element Ability to the extreme, green light enveloping the tail and wound, forcing a smile: "It’s only severed, the tail is still here. Even if we can’t find it, my ability can regenerate severed limbs."
Corbin Crowley was angry and concerned, seeing her run here while pregnant.
But he knew this wasn’t the time for reproach.
Instead, he stepped back to allow her space, not stopping her from saving him.
His silver eyes darted to her belly, concerned, warning: "Mind the baby. If it’s too much, stop."
"I know."
Luna Sutton replied, focusing on reattaching Rhys Blackwood’s tail.
With ongoing input from her Wood Element Ability, the flesh at the severed tail and wound seemed to come alive, slowly merging together.
This process heavily depleted her ability, something not everyone could endure.
Fortunately, she was already at Seventh Rank Peak, her ability massive like an ocean, fearless.
Although her belly ached a moment, she quickly stopped, realizing it was just fleeting.
Reassured, she continued, although her ability input slowed, no longer as intense as before.
She thought of something, turning her head towards Corbin Crowley, unable to help: "Did Mael Valerius come?"
Her hands never ceasing their work.
Corbin Crowley’s expression was complex, bending to wash the blood from his body in the pool: "He came, then left."
Luna Sutton paused momentarily, then continued, her tone indifferent: "Oh, and those people from The Dragon Clan..."
She meant to inquire whether those Black-armored Guards were driven by Mael Valerius or repelled by Corbin Crowley and the others.
Yet midway through the question, feeling it might not be appropriate, she forced herself to stop. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Already retreated."
Corbin Crowley took the cue, being direct.
In truth, they were driven off by Mael Valerius, but he wouldn’t openly disclose it.
He hoped the Mad Dragon would never again bother Luna.
A clean break would be best.
Luna Sutton acknowledged with a light sound, asking no further, concentrating on reattaching Rhys Blackwood’s tail.
