The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 110: A handsome popular face
From the filming of the show, Alix went home directly, changing her plans of going to the music school.
One her body was exhausted and two, it was already afternoon and another teacher had covered her class so she figured she would return home and keep Caishen company.
She found him in the living room, working as always. He had documents out, two open laptops and he was using his phone to hold a meeting via video call.
"Oh wow, that man can multi task." The system said.
It sounded impressed by his work ethic.
Alix tiptoed past him for some reason which made Caishen confused. She was not close enough to make any noise.
"Stay." He said.
She turned her head back and noticed that he was talking to her.
He nodded at her and waved her over with his right hand before picking up his phone and saying, "I am ending the meeting here, go back and revise the plan. Do more research on the materials as well, remember to cover everything accurately."
Caishen hung up and turned his head her way again.
Even after he told her to come over, she had remained where she was as if she was in a daze.
Majesty leaped out of her arms and went in search of Baby, Caishen's cat or the canaries, she assumed.
Her hands fell to her side and slowly, her feet carried her towards him. He was not sitting in the wheelchair as usual but on the biggest sofa in the room.
She lowered herself and sat down next to him, grabbing his arm in the process and leaning her head down on his shoulder.
"For a while," she whispered and closed her eyes. "let me use you as my bolster for a while."
A soft smile formed on his face and he picked up a drawing of a building which was sitting on the armrest of the sofa.
As he observed it with one hand, he patted her head with another.
"Was it a hard day or an exhausting one?"

"Both. Physically it was not a challenge but I am stuck with a partner who doesn't want to listen to me even though I am right. We could have come first but we came third because of him."
Her mouth sharpened and her nose crinkled as she thought about that dog man Pang Jin De.
"Who is it?" He asked her.
"That actor Pang Jin De. I can't believe I am stuck with him." She whined. "Hubby, I don't know how long I will last on the show but I cannot guarantee that I will not punch someone while I am there.
This one actress.....what's her name?"
"Ah Ci." The system chimed.
"Yes, Ah Ci said that I got in through connections. She was so loud about it because she wanted everyone to hear. And she had an equally annoying friend..."
She always struggled to remember Mi something's full name.
"Mi Mi, I think Kum or Kong."
"Kwong." The system said.
"Kwong." Caishen said.
Both of them said it at the same time. She didn't care if the system knew the name but her resting head quickly came out of rest when Caishen said it.
She blinked cutely and pushed her face forward, stopping only when she was about an inch away from his cheek.
When Caishen turned his head, his nose brushed against hers.
For a few seconds, because he was surprised by the sudden closeness between them, he froze.
Alix smiled and he pulled his head back and raised his eyebrows.
She smacked her lips and sighed loudly. Remembering why her head had been raised in the first place, she glared at him giving him a fake angry look.
"Hubby, why do you know Mi...Mi.." She dragged the name out.
"Kwong!, Kwong!, Kwong, Kwong, Kwong." Seemingly exhausted and in disbelief, the system blue elf yelled in her mind.
For the first time ever, the system started to wonder if it was stuck with a dumb host.
Caishen put away the paper in his hand and he focused all of his attention on her.
"Did you hit your head anywhere when you were filming?" He asked her.
She shook her head. Why would he ask such a question, she wondered.
"Follow the movement of my finger." He moved his right hand index finger from side to side as if he was a professional doctor.
"Stop it." She grabbed the finger.
"I am just worried because you keep forgetting a name as simple as that one." He told her.
"Because she is not memorable. I only remember what's worth remembering or what annoys me. I know her fans call her Mimi, that's enough for me.
Anyway, that Mimi and Ah Ci, they went out of their way to make me uncomfortable.
It was Pang Jin De who stepped in for me, he said that Ah Ci had verbal diarrhoea."
She giggled at the memory.
The man next to her frowned a little bit but when she looked at him, he smiled.
"I was grateful to him and then he called me a cat lady and refused to listen to my suggestions. Hmph, I am not grateful anymore."
She kicked out of her feet out in the perfect tantrum fashion.
Just like that, Caishen's smile blossomed genuinely.
"But, why do you know that woman's name? I have never seen you watching a movie before."
She circled back to what mattered to her. Mimi might be annoying but it did not take away from her good looks. Alix was a bit jealous at the moment.
"Rongyan drags me to movie premiers occasionally. I have met her a time or two." He answered.
He tapped her nose lightly and smiled.
"And?" She asked.
There was a very obvious pout to her lips which followed.
"And nothing." He answered.
He raised his left hand, put it on her hand and tousled her hair gently.
"I know you like me but if you are going to be jealous of every woman whose name I know then you will have sleepless nights. I know all of my female employees, Zhang An's riends, Fuzi's sister."
"Alright, I got it. My husband knows a lot of women." She said unhappily.
Once more, she kicked her legs out and pouted.
"I blame your handsome face. It must make you popular among women. What should I do? Hubby, how about you start wearing full facial masks when you are in public?"
Caishen laughed under his breath and shook his head in disbelief. She was foolishly jealous but it pleased him to the core.
"I want to take you out tonight. Let's go on a date and see a movie in the theater here inside the courts."
She suddenly grabbed his arm and requested.
He nodded.
"Yes." She screamed happily.
