Later on, while he was waiting for his wife patiently so that they could go and watch that movie as she had arranged, Caishen received a message from Jacob that both problems had been taken care of.

That was wonderful and he was glad but he recalled Alix talking about the possibility of punching a few individuals in that variety show she was filming.

It was better to be safe than sorry so he sent a text to the lawyer.

Him: [Keep the package on stand by.]

Jacob: [??????]

Him: [My wife has a habit of letting her fists fly before her words.]

Jacob: [Noted, but please try to prevent it from your end not everyone can be bought off. Also, you might become broke paying off her misdeeds.]

Caishen chuckled at that possibility. How many people would Alix have to punch brutally for him to become broke? They would have to be in the hundreds of millions.

He looked at the stairs and then the time. She had been on his back not to dally and yet she was nowhere to be seen. They would be late if she delayed any further.

Majesty passed by, walking with his head held high.

"Hey, Majesty, tell your mother to hurry up."

The cat looked at him, ignored him deliberately and kept moving. It went and jumped on to the high stool chair in front of the large fish tank and stared at the swimming fish.

He wheeled himself closer to the tank and looked at the cat with suspicious eyes. "Don't even think about it. If you want to eat anything in that tank, eat your mother's golden fish. Oh, now that I think about it, she likes gold. A golden fish, a gold cat, what's next?"

"What are you teaching my cat?" she asked him loudly as she glided towards him.

"Responsibility." he answered with a crafty look.

He turned his wheel chair in the direction of her voice and the next words out of his mouth brought a smile to her lips.

"Wow."

She was wearing a short white dress that came just above her knees. Around her slim waist was a black bow trailing to the hem of the dress.

On her feet were a pair of medium length silver heels.

She twirled for him and showed him the back of the dress. It was designed in a criss cross pattern, mostly open and exposing generous parts of her back.

"Do you like it?" she asked him.

She stood in front of him with a generous smile on her face that made him catch his breath.

"You are....wow..." he said and he laughed lightly.

"Do you like it?" she asked him again.

He raised his right hand and lowered it. He laughed lightly and shook his head. She was breathtaking and it was doing things to his heart and body, exciting him in all sorts of ways.

"Let's go before you give me a heart attack." he told her.

Alix smiled like a little canine and followed him to the elevator.

She was glad that she had taken the time to dress up so beautifully. Seeing that look on his face was so worth it.

Beside her, Caishen was wondering if she was too over dressed or he was underdressed. The movie theatre was right here in blossom courts. Did she have to go all out?

His eyes sneakily took a peek at her again. Her beautiful slender arms were on display and so were her long legs. She was not uncomfortable about the scar anymore, that was a good thing at least.

"Hubby I want to take a picture of us and share it on weibo." She said.

Looking at him, she asked, "Can I?"

She would not share any image of him without his permission. They were still wading in deep water in the marriage.

He nodded.

She bent down, bringing her face closer to his. A shy smile formed on her face and she pressed her lips to his cheek.

Not expecting the kiss on his cheek, Caishen turned his head around slowly and faced her.

So close, he thought, the distance between them was so close. In his mind, he started counting the seconds as they just stayed there, breathing each other in anf nine daring to move away.

His eyes trailed down to her mouth which was glistening because of the lip gloss she had applied.

They looked so soft and beckoning, begging to be ravished. One taste, he thought, just one taste to satisfy his curiosity.

Alix closed her eyes and leaned in. This was the perfect moment for a first kiss according to all the advice from the people she was asking advice from online.

Voo, voo, vooo.

Her phone vibrated, and coincidentally, the elevator doors opened.

Caishen moved his head away from her and she roused her body.

As his heart pounded, so did hers, similarly and fiercely. None said a word for a while or attempted to get out of the elevator. Both were feeling very awkward in that moment.

The elevator doors started to close and he put a hand forward, stopping them from doing so.

"We should go to the theater." He said.

"En." She answered.

As she followed him, her phone vibrated again so she took it from the bag which she was carrying.

"Brother." She said happily.

Caishen's ears sharpened and turned the wheelchair around to look at her. On his face was a disgruntled look.

That non blood related brother Tai Ho Sun was calling her again. He called her everyday, sometimes twice when she was at home to talk about all sorts of random things.

Was his wife a customer care agent? Was her phone his personal calling booth or something?

"We are going to be late." He told her.

Alix nodded, they were a minute behind actually.

"Brother, I have a movie date with my husband right now. Tell grandfather not to be sad about his milk powder. I will send him more tomorrow."

"Ho! A movie date. Good for you. Just don't make out like a couple of teenagers in the theater. It's very embarrassing when you get caught." He answered.

She giggled fitfully at his words. She would have to get him to tell her the full story behind this someday.

Caishen became even more unhappy at her giggling. Tai Ho Sun was not that funny.

He tugged on her arm and looked at her unhappily.

"Mmm, brother, bye-bye."

She hung up immediately because the man next to her looked like he wanted to burn her phone with his eyes.

"What did he say to make you laugh?" He asked her.

"That we should make out like teenagers because that is the authentic movie experience." She lied with a serious look on her face.

On the virtual screen, the blue elf chuckled and enjoyed the show. The host's real world life was much more entertaining than her gaming world life.

Perhaps it could broadcast that occasionally for more points as long as she had no idea he was doing it.

"Oh."Caishen answered.

He was taken back by her answer and for some reason, pleased with it. Suddenly he changed his mind. Tai Ho Sun was funny after all.
