They all call me Great Master-Chapter 982: Epilogue: Land of Miracles
Looking at Arthur laughing heartily, both the Holy Sword Knight Icarus and the Old Earl of South Los were a bit dazed.
The two of them had no idea what had happened.
However, the elder in the organization named Hunter understood completely.
"Others believing, it is real.
Believing in oneself, it becomes real too.
Interesting! Interesting!"
The elder Hunter said, looking at Arthur with eyes full of curiosity.
"How did you make this bastard believe everything is real?"
"Because—
everything is real."
Arthur answered him.
The elder Hunter was taken aback, and then burst into laughter.
The laughter was even louder than Arthur's before, making his whole body shake with laughter, tears streaming down his face.
It took a good half a minute before the elder Hunter stopped laughing.
He looked at Arthur, shook his head, and sighed—
"Carmen is pleased to meet you, Arthur Kredos.
Then, I hope we never meet again."
After saying that, the elder known as Hunter, but actually Carmen, waved to his two partners and disappeared from the place. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
All matters before them were resolved.
He no longer needed to stay.
He should return to North County Sabins Lingger Town.
His three adopted sons were probably as frantic as ants on a hot pan by now.
And his grandchildren.
He had promised to take them on a picnic in the spring.
As for his two friends?
Those were their family matters.
The elder left, but Arthur paused for a moment.
Carmen?
The thief?
The Old Earl of South Los took a deep breath and cast a grateful glance towards Arthur.
"Your Crown of the Kredos, thank you for everything you've done for South Los.
The South Los Family will always stand by your side, ready to charge and fight for you.
Now...
I need to go see my daughter.
I hope she doesn't hate me too much."
As he spoke, the Old Earl of South Los bowed in salute.
Then, he gestured to the Holy Sword Knight Icarus for a proper conversation—this old Earl evidently knew something.
However, he still needed to seek forgiveness from his daughter.
Icarus?
He could only hope for the best.
After all, Old Charlie had a good grandson.
A grandson so excellent it made both humans and gods tremble with awe.
Thinking of this, the Old Earl of South Los wasted no time, transforming into a bolt of lightning and soaring into the sky.
Lightning is, of course, swift.
Yet, returning from the Realm of the Dead to the 'Shadow Realm' takes time.
And the ripples, deprived of the supporting power of 'Death', were beginning to diminish.
The Holy Sword Knight Icarus, lips slightly trembling.
"Is he okay?"
Hearing these words, Arthur smiled.
"Hmm, he's doing quite alright, I suppose.
With a large family of children and grandchildren.
Though some of his sons encountered misfortunes, his grandchildren are quite remarkable."
Arthur replied.
However, the smile curling on his lips did not reflect in his eyes at all.
What was present, was coldness.
Holy Sword Knight Icarus, Arthur would never forget.
That was Old Charlie's adoptive father.
In terms of seniority, it made him Arthur's great-grandfather.
Only, some things this great-grandfather did in the past greatly annoyed Old Charlie, and as Old Charlie's grandson, he naturally couldn't forgive him in place of his grandfather.
"Sorry, I..."
"There is no apology needed between us; in fact, there is no emotion between us.
This apology, you need to tell my grandfather.
If he forgives you, naturally, we forgive you.
If he abhors you, we will exile you, destroy you.
After all, we are the Kredos Family."
Arthur said playfully.
Holy Sword Knight Icarus was silent for a second, then nodded immediately.
"Very well!"
After speaking, this Holy Sword Knight turned and left.
He was going to find his adopted son and seek forgiveness.
Watching as this Holy Sword Knight walked away, Arthur took a deep breath—
Whew!
Instantly, the [Death] born as 'Death' departed flew out from the ripples and merged directly into Arthur's body, becoming one with him with each heartbeat.
The original talent, [Breath of Death], directly advanced to [Death] at this moment.
But, the advancement did not stop there.
Because, [Deception].
The completed [Deception] also merged into Arthur's being with his breath.
Crimson [Fresh Blood] drifted over unconsciously, but in the next moment, the aura of [Deception] and [Death] rose high.
Suddenly, [Fresh Blood] retreated like a startled rabbit to one side.
The whole process lasted a day.
When Arthur opened his eyes again, the sky had already darkened.
Not far away, on the dry rocks, Marinda was lighting a campfire—in Arthur's perception, Marinda appeared in the afternoon.
This lady maneuvered the 'White Crow' to land on the reef island.
Seeing Arthur safe, she heaved a long sigh of relief.
Then, she merely waited.
At the moment Arthur opened his eyes, Marinda turned to look.
Watching Arthur walk over, Marinda extended the grilled fish in her hand.
"How's the taste?"
"The taste is nice, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned just right."
Arthur did not hold back with his praise.
"I only added salt."
Marinda raised an eyebrow, her blue eyes full of mischief.
"Salt is the king of flavors.
With salt, that's enough.
Just like me, with you, that's enough."
Arthur looked at Marinda, reaching out to take her hand.
There was no need for Arthur to use force, Marinda leaned in naturally.
"Is everything over?"
Marinda asked softly.
"Hmm, there's just one thing left."
Arthur nodded.
Marinda was surprised.
"Still something?"
"Of course!
Did you forget about our wedding?
We need a wedding that's not too grand, then we'll have two years of just the two of us, then we'll have a cute child..."
Arthur said with a smile, while Marinda playfully patted Arthur lightly.
Then, the lady touched her abdomen.
She had a feeling that she would soon be a mother.
And, she would have a cute, beautiful, and gifted daughter.
Involuntarily, the lady lifted her head and smiled at Arthur.
Arthur, as if sensing something, looked down at his wife.
The two gazed at each other, drawing closer and closer.
...
"Alright, that's the story of how my mother and father met, fell in love, and eventually got married."
Eight-year-old Nikai closed the book while sitting on a stool.
The orange cat beside her seemed a bit confused.
Not confused by Nikai's narration, just puzzled as to why Nikai organized all this into a book.
Nikai immediately guessed what her pet was thinking.
"Of course, it's a gift!
Soon it'll be my mother and father's tenth wedding anniversary.
I certainly want to surprise them."
Nikai explained.
"Oh, I see!
When do we set off for the big city?"
The orange cat nodded in sudden realization.
"Tomorrow morning!"
Nikai said with certainty.
Then, she reached up to turn off the table lamp.
The room fell into darkness.
The breathing of one person and one cat became long and steady, but neither fell asleep.
After all, the place they were going was the Land of Miracles, where believing in its existence could change destiny.
After a dozen minutes, the orange cat couldn't help itself.
"Nikai, is that place really so magical?"
"Of course."
Nikai nodded, then lifted her hand, cradling the orange cat from the cat's nest into her arms, gently whispering—
"After all, believing in the existence of miracles is a miracle itself."
