Chapter 55: Fellow Participants from the Li Clan

Li Gengxin was in excellent spirits. Sitting at the head seat, his face glowed with pride as he pointed to a position below him, signaling Ryan to sit.

This seat was on par with that of the elders. Ryan had already sat there once before, and with his strength acknowledged by everyone, no one found it inappropriate.

After Ryan sat, Li Gengxin continued, "I called you here today not only to talk about the qualification test in a few days, but also to introduce you to the members of our Li Clan who will be participating this time."

He paused deliberately, glanced at Ryan, and then spoke with feigned seriousness, "They are all your brothers and sisters. Although your strength is extraordinary now, you must not become arrogant. Don’t deny kinship just because you’re strong, and once you go out, don’t treat your brothers and sisters like servants. Understand?"

There was a warning hidden in his words, reminding Ryan not to grow conceited. At the same time, it was also meant for the elders, reassuring them that the patriarch still cared about their descendants.

Ryan immediately responded solemnly, "I would never dare, Father. I will never think myself superior because of my strength, nor will I order my brothers and sisters around. As long as I am outside, I will absolutely not allow outsiders to bully anyone from our Li Clan."

"Good." Li Gengxin nodded in satisfaction.

The elders below also relaxed, smiles appearing on their faces.

Li Gengxin then said, "Come, let’s get acquainted."

The voluptuous young woman was the first to speak. "Brother Li, my name is Li Baijie. I’m the Fifth Elders’ descendant, a seven-star warrior. I hope Brother Li will take care of me in the future."

"Li Zhanfeng, six-star Elite, descendant of the Sixth Elder. Brother Wei, I hope you’ll look after me," another young man followed.

"Li Wulin, five-star Elite, Fourth Elder’s line. Younger Brother Wei, I’ll be counting on you," said the third.

"Li Xuling, seven-star Elite, Second Elder’s descendant. Brother Wei, I hope we can exchange pointers often," added another.

Then the younger girl smiled sweetly. "Li Shu, three-star Elite, Second Elder’s descendant. Brother Li, pleased to meet you."

Five of the six introduced themselves in turn.

Only one remained.

The youngest boy stood with his chin raised and chest puffed out, like a proud little rooster. When it was his turn, he spoke briefly and bluntly, "Li Wujie. Nine-star Elite."

That was it.

He truly had personality.

However, the moment Ryan heard the name, his expression froze slightly.

Li Wujie. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

If his memory served him right, before his transmigration, among all the Li Clan’s younger generation, the most outstanding one aside from Li Mingtian had been this very Li Wujie.

A natural-born prodigy.

At eight years old, he had already reached the nine-star warrior realm. Now, at fourteen, he was at Nine-star elite, firmly at the peak.

If Li Mingtian had not entered the Upper Elite realm first, the title of the Li Clan’s number one genius would undoubtedly have belonged to Li Wujie.

He was, without question, the true first genius of the Li Clan.

After sorting through the memories in his mind, Ryan couldn’t help feeling a flicker of surprise. He truly hadn’t expected the Li Clan to still be hiding such a young prodigy. If Li Wujie were nurtured properly, his future achievements would be immeasurable.

Unfortunately, there was little Ryan could directly teach him. The martial arts and techniques obtained from the system were learned instantly and could not be passed on to others. That was a pity. Still, weapons and equipment were another matter. Those, at least, could be given.

Ryan glanced at Li Wujie twice more, then followed the others and introduced himself simply.

"Li Wei."

He deliberately said no more. Revealing that he was already a nine-star Exalt would only shatter the confidence of these younger generations.

"Good. Since you’ve all met, there’s no need for me to lecture further," Li Gengxin said with a smile. "Two days from now, gather here again and head to the qualification exam together."

"Yes, Father." Ryan bowed.

He then left the main hall with the six younger members.

As they walked, Ryan thought for a moment and said, "If everyone is free, come with me to the martial training ground. Let me test your strength."

Even with Wang Zongyao’s assurance, true strength still mattered. If they were only pretty shells with no substance, it would reflect poorly on everyone. Ryan had no intention of putting Wang Zongyao in an awkward position.

"Alright. We’ll follow Brother Wei," Li Baijie agreed readily.

"Please go easy on us," Li Shu said with a sweet smile.

"I’d like to see how many moves I can take from Brother Wei," Li Wujie said proudly.

The moment those words fell, the others looked at Li Wujie as if he had lost his mind.

"What?" Li Wujie asked, baffled by the stares.

"Nothing... let’s go," Ryan said with a smile, already heading toward the martial ground.

As they followed, Li Baijie shook her head and sighed, "Wujie, are you stupid?"

"Not just stupid. Hopelessly stupid," Li Wulin added.

"I think it’s terminal," Li Xuling chimed in.

Li Zhanfeng went straight for the jugular. "I’ll buy you a coffin."

Li Wujie was utterly confused. "What did I even do?"

"Did you hear about Brother Wei’s match with Li Mingtian?" Li Baijie asked.

"I know Young Master beat him and became our number one genius," Li Wujie replied honestly.

"Do you know how he won?" Li Baijie asked again.

Li Wujie shook his head.

She raised a finger. "One move. And just with two fingers."

"What?" Li Wujie froze.

He stared at Ryan’s back. That seemingly slender figure suddenly felt like a towering mountain pressing down on him.

The others patted his shoulder with expressions full of pity, silently conveying a single message: You really thought you could take a few moves from him?

*

Martial Training Ground;

Ryan stood on one side. The other six lined up opposite him.

"Enough talk," Ryan said calmly. "I don’t have much time. All six of you come together. Show me your full strength."

"All six?" Li Wujie was momentarily stunned, clearly lagging behind the situation.

Li Baijie nodded. "Alright."

Ryan’s gaze sharpened. "Use your strongest martial arts. Treat this as real combat."

No one dared hold back.

Li Baijie readied her stance. Li Shu raised her sword. The others took up their weapons, faces tense and serious.

Li Wujie was still dazed, but his pride quickly kicked in. He lifted his chin and stepped forward. "I’ll go first!"

With a burst of speed, he lunged at Ryan.

"Stone Shattering Fist!"

The punch flew out swiftly, but it lacked accumulated momentum. At most, it carried half of Li Wujie’s true strength.

Boom.

Ryan caught the fist with one hand. He shook his head in disappointment. "Too weak. You’re a nine-star Elite, and this is all you’ve got?"

With a light push, Li Wujie was sent stumbling backward.

His cultivation was indeed at the nine-star Elite level, but the power he displayed barely matched that of a seven-star Elite. Part of it was due to his techniques, but more importantly, he simply hadn’t performed well.

Before Li Wujie could recover, the others’ attacks arrived.

Li Baijie struck with a palm.

Li Shu’s sword flashed forward.

The three men attacked from different angles, fierce and coordinated.

Ryan merely waved his hand.

A burst of force rippled outward.
