This Giant Dragon is So Powerful!-Chapter 102 - 95: Subjugation
Bryan, riding the silver giant wolf, easily dodged Mondo’s attack once again. But when faced with the barrage of swift wind blades launched by the Mother Crane in the sky, he had to dodge in a panic, occasionally swinging his curved saber to shatter the wind blades he couldn’t evade.
The curved saber was very long, over two meters, with its blade covered in a thick layer of blood-red energy.
This was a manifestation of the extraordinary power cultivated by Bryan’s profession.
The conventional types of extraordinary power include Fighting Qi, Blood Qi, Magic Power, Spiritual Energy, and others. Bryan’s profession, "Warg Rider Knight," is a jackal wolfman exclusive profession passed down for at least thousands of years, and the extraordinary power cultivated by it is Blood Qi.
Different types of extraordinary power have different traits, and even when cultivating the same type of extraordinary power, different professions may yield different traits in that power.
However, broadly speaking, the focuses of various extraordinary powers are relatively clear.
The trait of Blood Qi, for example, focuses on enhancing the physical body, prompting its own life level to evolve, but compared to Fighting Qi, Blood Qi often has a smaller attack range.
A Level 12 advanced Fighting Qi practitioner can release a Fighting Qi Slash that reaches up to ten meters, with attack distances from the body extending to several hundred meters or more.
In contrast, a Level 12 advanced Blood Qi practitioner, with full force, can release a Blood Qi Slash only a few meters long, and its attack distance from the body often stays within a hundred meters.
Now, Bryan faced the enemy any Blood Qi practitioner least wanted to encounter.
He looked up, his face gloomy as he watched the Mother Crane continuously harass him with wind blade attacks, feeling stifled.
This massive white crane demon was perched several hundred meters in the air, a distance beyond the reach of his Bodiless Blood Qi! It’s not like he could just throw his weapon?!
At this moment, Mother Crane unleashed another dozen or so wind blades targeting Bryan. Having accumulated experience from hundreds of fights, Mondo seized this opportunity and swung his wolf fang club ferociously. This time, although Bryan easily dodged Mondo’s attack, the enormous wolf fang club forced him off position, allowing a palm-sized wind blade to strike his arm.
The seemingly solid iron armor on the surface was sliced open easily by this small wind blade like butter, followed by Bryan’s resilient fur. Ultimately, the wind blade got caught in his muscles and dissipated.
The strong body cultivated through Blood Qi gave him an extremely high resistance to this level of magic attacks.
"Damn feathered beast!"
Bryan’s face showed a vicious, malicious expression as he felt the wound on his arm constricting and healing, estimating it would fully recover before long, but he already had the intention to retreat.
He wasn’t afraid to face two enemies, but one was a troublesome giant demon, whom he couldn’t kill quickly, and the other was untouchable, making Bryan extremely uncomfortable.
Mondo and the Mother Crane, seeing the jackal wolfman leader’s intention to escape, immediately pursued him.
However, the silver giant wolf Bryan rode was extremely fast, dashing away at full speed like a silver phantom, quickly leaving the cumbersome Mondo behind, with only the Mother Crane able to keep pace effortlessly.
Below, Bryan on the silver giant wolf evaded the incoming wind blades while swinging his curved saber to shatter those he couldn’t avoid. After several instances, he couldn’t endure any longer and shouted angrily at the sky,
"Do you have a screw loose? Do you think you can kill me by chasing me down?"
In the sky, Mother Crane coldly gazed at Bryan. Though it understood his words, it completely ignored him, continuing to attack with wind blades.
As the wind blades’ attack frequency increased, one tiny wound after another appeared on his body, and the armor he wore became tattered. Bryan grew increasingly frustrated.
In his lifetime, Bryan had faced many life-and-death crises, but never had he felt so stifled!
Bryan’s eyes gradually turned scarlet, an intense aura of Blood Qi emanating from his body, his coarse fur standing on end. His silver giant wolf mount, sensing its master’s thoughts, howled, its muscles swelling, growing a size larger, with its silver fur quickly dyed in rich blood red.
Fusion Frenzy!
Among the jackal wolfman race, only the gifted can comprehend the Frenzy Ability, and those with exceptionally great talents can achieve Fusion Frenzy with their close mounts, gaining a substantial boost in physical attributes.
Almost instantly, the silver giant wolf became a blood shadow, leveraging the height of ancient trees over ten meters high. With a few leaps, they soared hundreds of meters into the sky.
*Hiss hiss*!
Panting heavily, Bryan, with scarlet eyes, swung the blood-red saber which extended into a frightful five-meter blood beam toward the rapidly approaching Mother Crane.
Mother Crane’s eyes showed a hint of surprise at the explosive speed demonstrated by Bryan and his wolf mount, but it wasn’t worried at all. Surrounded by the wind element, it vanished in a flap, reappearing a hundred meters away.
Seeing Mother Crane’s burst of terrifying speed, the corner of Bryan’s eye twitched; he knew he couldn’t kill this bothersome feathered beast.
Without an outlet for his anger, Bryan quickly hatched another type of attack. With a hum, the blood beam on his saber expanded greatly, transforming into a blood-colored light shooting toward the Mother Crane, so fast it blurred space. After this attack, Bryan became breathless, and his wolf mount went limp, the two plummeting from hundreds of meters in the air.
Mother Crane didn’t focus on Bryan’s condition; its eyes fixated on the incoming blood light. At such close range, despite its explosive speed, it couldn’t be entirely sure of an evasion, having to prepare for a strong defense while dodging with every ounce of energy.
Just as the blood-edged saber was about to strike Mother Crane’s wing, a blue light flashed across Mother Crane’s body.
Second Ring·Returning to Nature·Water Element Enhancement Technique
Udi, who had reduced his size and hidden above in the clouds, intervened.
With the enhanced support of the spell, Mother Crane managed at the last moment to narrowly evade the incoming blood-edged saber. Then, it looked up into the sky, its black pupils reflecting a black giant dragon revealing itself from the clouds.
With Cloud Mist Skill + Invisibility Technique, the dual concealment meant Mother Crane and Bryan, caught in the battle, hadn’t even noticed a Black Dragon observing them the entire time.
Udi cast a cold glance at Mother Crane and then looked downward, descending to the ground with a crash.
Bryan, having just fallen to the ground and risen in a fluster, looked up to see a giant black dragon gazing indifferently at him.
"Submit to me, or .... Die!"
As he faced the massive black dragon looming in the dust, Bryan’s pupils slightly contracted; he swallowed, chilled to the bone.
Sensing the growing danger and impatience in the Black Dragon’s gaze, Bryan shivered and decisively chose surrender to stay alive.
With a thud, he fell to his knees, head touching the ground. His mount, the silver giant wolf, also bowed its head in submission.
Udi’s expression softened, and the Dragon Scale Contract Book appeared again, transforming into a black beam that entered Bryan’s head.
The servant contract was formed; from this moment on, Bryan’s life and death as a powerful jackal wolfman leader would be at Udi’s whim.
...
After the dragon vein transformation completed, Bryan opened his eyes, his gaze complicated.
He never imagined that he would one day become a lowly servant. The only good news was that his master was a strong adult giant dragon.
With a sense of resignation, Bryan gathered his emotions and looked around, finding to his astonishment that his black dragon master was nowhere to be seen, but he did notice Mother Crane standing on a tree.
"The master wants you to consolidate the clan and then head to the Dragon Nest Territory," Mother Crane spoke, her voice pleasant yet failing to mask its coldness.
Apparently, due to Bryan’s actions, she had received a rebuke from the master through a look, which made Mother Crane rather unhappy. She knew the reason was her own underestimation of the enemy.
Not daring to show dissatisfaction to the master, Mother Crane naturally vented her emotions on Bryan.
After speaking, Mother Crane spread her wings and, without a glance at Bryan, vanished in a white light.
On the spot, Bryan opened his mouth and, after a pause, said in extreme frustration,
"Where is the Dragon Nest Territory, for crying out loud...couldn’t you have told me more clearly?"
