Chapter 114: Chapter 3: Contamination

"I will relay your words to Kadan." Shiji said respectfully, then began talking about the second matter,

"The second thing is about the Higlind family. Mage Roy sent a message to Kadan...In the territory ’Pross Town’ established by the Higlind family in the wasteland, a large number of unfamiliar adventurers have recently gathered. Mage Roy suspects that some domestic nobles have set their sights on their family...As the foundation now is too large, the Higlind family is short-handed and wants us to dispatch monster warriors to assist them in dealing with those adventurers."

"What do you think we should do?" Udi asked.

Shiji paused for a moment, organizing his words, and cautiously said, "I think we can assist them, but all the gains from killing those adventurers must belong to our Dragon Nest influence, and we should also intimidate Roy a bit. His family’s influence is developing too quickly, attracting too much attention, which might cause a lot of trouble for us in the future."

"Let’s handle it as you suggested." Udi affirmed after listening to Shiji.

Does he really understand how to handle relations between these powers? Apparently not very well, just average.

But that’s okay, letting Shiji the Grand Steward handle it will suffice. Shiji’s talent might not be great, but his mind is quite agile. All he needs to do is provide opinions at critical moments and sit aloof on the throne watching his followers toil for him.

"As you command." Shiji nodded respectfully and spoke of the last matter,

"Our northern forces encountered elves and had a conflict with them. These elves are very powerful, and even our most elite squads are no match for them...But fortunately, the other side did not strike harshly, instead warning us to keep away from that area...." Saying this, Shiji looked up at the black giant dragon lying on the throne to listen to his opinion.

Upon hearing about the elves, a flicker passed through Udi’s dragon eyes, but he quickly calmed down, pondering for a moment before saying,

"Since those elves are not hostile, let’s not provoke them...What we pursue now is steady growth; time favors us, the longer we go on, the stronger our Dragon Nest influence becomes, there’s no need to compete right now."

Speaking of this, Udi recalled the knowledge about forest elves in Dragon’s Legacy and added, "However, you can try to communicate with the elves and see if you can establish trade exchanges. The elves’ collections are quite rich, especially regarding magic."

With the improvement in mage professional level, and the increasing magic proficiency in current learned spells, Udi must prepare to acquire more advanced and powerful magic.

On Roy’s side, so far, he has only acquired one high-tier magic, and it’s fire element, which conflicts with Udi as a water element true dragon; it’s not that it can’t be learned, but if there’s a choice, it’s better to learn other non-conflicting types of magic.

"Alright, I’ll try to communicate with the elf race, but...." Shiji hesitated for a moment, but still spoke, "This matter might require the master’s dragon-blooded maid’s assistance, as you know, our monster warriors are way too formidable in appearance and physique, making communication inefficient."

"It’s okay, just talk to Sofia about it, she’ll arrange everything." Udi nodded slightly; it’s just a trivial matter.

The elf race is indeed the flag-bearer of the beauty association. To have a group of two or three meters high muscle monsters communicate with them, they’d probably be treated as invading enemies and chased away before they even enter the territory...Perhaps the cause of the conflict with the elf race this time was because of this, monster warriors under Shiji’s command certainly wouldn’t actively provoke the elf race. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

After the important issues were resolved, Shiji respectfully took his leave.

"Is the food prepared?" After Shiji left, Udi looked at Sofia.

"It’s ready, Master." Sofia nodded.

"That’s good." Udi nodded in satisfaction, suddenly remembering that the next banquet was fast approaching, prompting him to ask casually.

Three days later, the banquet began.

After a full day’s sleep, Udi, perched upon the Thorn Stone Throne, suddenly opened his eyes, an invisible terrifying dragon aura spread around, and then he quickly retracted it.

Fortunately, during Udi’s slumber, no other creatures were allowed in the Dragon Nest, including the little white dragon beast Antonio—for fear of eating them along with the food.

Feeling the slightly stronger power within, Udi opened the panel.

[Udi: Biological Level Eleven, Initial Stage; Mage Level Eight, Middle Tier](Body Length 24.01m)

[Life Force: 45.1]

[Current Banquet Level: 94 layers](Cooldown Time: Thirty days)

[Spell-like Abilities: Dark Magic...]

[Spell Runes: Fourth Ring: Any Gate (Mastery 42%), Third Ring: Acceleration Skill (Mastery 33%), Second Ring: Water Element Enhancement Technique (Returning to the Essence), Second Ring: Water Healing Technique (Mastery 23%), Zero Ring: Mage’s Hand (Mastery 5%)](*From now on only spells with mastered proficiency will be recorded, the complete panel will be documented in separate Chapters)

"Biological level has finally reached level eleven." Udi exhaled, feeling somewhat invigorated.

Since the banquet repeatedly strengthened his template, increasing the level’s ’water storage’ limit, the breakthrough speed of biological level is slowing down.

But this is a good thing because in Dragon’s Legacy, the difficulty of level advancement grows exponentially the further it goes. In other words, the more potential that is dug out at the currently stabilized upper limit, and the more power that is increased, naturally in the future, the larger the strength gap opened with other strong ones would be.
