This Holy Knight is So Despicable!-Chapter 386 - 323 Magic Power Dries Up (Request for monthly ticket)
After a night’s rest, the Treefolk collectively appeared at the city gates of the Elven kingdom’s capital.
Their majestic and solid figures immediately drew the attention of the Elves.
They watched these Treefolk warriors curiously, each one excited beyond measure.
It’s noteworthy that even some of the elves, who are thousands of years old, have never seen Treefolk warriors march into battle.
Now, all of a sudden, a whole group appeared.
Other units gathering together could be described as a dense mass.
But when the Treefolk warriors gathered, it gave the illusion of lush greenery well-organized.
"Is everyone here?"
At some point, Lette stood atop the city wall.
Looking down at the Treefolk warriors, he pulled out a strange magic device.
"Mr. Lette, all nine hundred and twenty-seven Treefolk warriors have gathered."
The Treefolk Clan Leader stood at the gate, towering much higher than the entire wall.
"But, how do you plan to take us away?"
"Don’t worry, just follow instructions in a moment."
Lette said while taking out a match, lighting it gently.
This action puzzled the Treefolk warriors.
What does he intend to do?
Why is he striking a match while giving assurance?
He couldn’t possibly plan to ignite everyone with this, could he?
The flame’s far too small, isn’t it?
Unexpectedly, after lighting it, Lette placed the match into the strange baton in his hand.
As the flame infused, one end of the baton glowed, shining on the Treefolk warriors.
Visibly, these Treefolk rapidly shrank, turning into something akin to potted plants in an instant.
This miraculous sight left the Elves wide-eyed, looking at Lette in disbelief.
The Elves, after all, serve as mentors of human magic, but this kind of magic was never taught by any mentor because no mentor knew it.
"All done with the shrinking!"
Lette put away the baton and waved towards the distant Elves: "It’s time to set out, Third Reserve Team. Each of you take one Treefolk; we’ll discuss further at the rendezvous point.
Stop dawdling, I’m talking to you, hurry up."
Under Lette’s repeated urging, the Elves finally snapped to reality, approaching to pick up the Treefolk warriors whose minds had gone blank, then soared to the sky on gentle winds towards the battlefield.
When most of the people had left, Emily hurriedly arrived.
"I’m here, I’m here, I’m here! Where are the Treefolk?"
"They left five minutes ago."
"Huh? They’ve already gone?!"
Emily was utterly dejected: "I wanted to see what the shrunk Treefolk looked like!"
"Who told you to sleep in?"
"Was that sleeping in? I was in the dream realm enriching my card deck!"
Emily waved the card in her hand: "Do you see it? Do you see it! This is the result of my efforts all night.
I found a suitable creature from the ark, Gap of Dreams, Abyss of Nightmare, and Fairy Tale Subspace, and added it to my deck.
Now, I’m terrifyingly strong!"
Lette rolled his eyes: "Fine then, since that’s the case, you’ll be the main force in this battle."
"Nothing would please me more!"
Emily suddenly pulled out a crowbar, swinging it vigorously.
"Didn’t you tell me last night? In this decisive battle, those Black Mages and the mages from the Truth Workshop will surely give their all.
I’m not interested in Black Mages, but those bastards from the Truth Workshop, they must be eradicated!"
Seeing Emily’s angry demeanor, Lette suddenly laughed.
"Alright, then count in the parts of Unica, Alice, Gretel, and Joanna too!
Teach this bunch a good lesson!
Make them disappear into thin air!"
Emily raised her crowbar: "Leave it to me! I’ll avenge my sisters’ parts as well!"
"Then, let’s be on our way!"
Lette snapped his fingers, gathering light in front of him which transformed into a Holy Crow.
He jumped up, sitting cross-legged, and gestured to Emily: "Let’s go, what are you waiting for?"
Unexpectedly, Emily shouldered her crowbar, gently wiggling her finger.
"Heh heh heh~ Didn’t I just tell you? I’m not who I used to be, now I’m terrifyingly strong!
I no longer need such a low-end flying mode."
Lette was amused by her arrogant demeanor: "What do you mean, you have other ways of flying?"
"Heh heh!"
Emily took out her belt and armored gauntlet, finally revealing her night’s labor.
"Let me show you! My new combination!"
She put on the belt, strapped on the armored gauntlet, then inserted the Gray Wolf Card into the belt.
"Beast Soul Armor!"
Then she inserted the Gale Magic Crystal Card into the armored gauntlet: "Elemental Armor!"
Finally, she took out a Thunder Eagle card, swiftly swiping it across the armored gauntlet.
"Super Weapon! Thunder Eagle!"
With a piercing eagle cry, an ethereal Thunder Eagle silhouette enveloped her, eventually transforming into a pair of Thunder Wings attached to her back.
"This is the ultimate combination of wind and thunder! I will have the fastest speed in the world.
Hmm, where’d he go?"
After completing the entire card set, Emily realized Lette was no longer there.
