Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild-Chapter 1735: My Willfulness Hurt Him
"Annie, you’ve been sitting here all day. Please eat something."
Charlotte Thompson walked over to Annie Anne’s side, placing the palm of her hand on her shoulder, and gently whispered.
Ever since Oliver Hudson was transferred to the ward, Annie Anne had been sitting here motionless, and Charlotte felt a heartache seeing her like this.
But Annie Anne shook her head, perhaps having maintained the same posture for so long made her movements a bit stiff.
"It’s fine, you don’t need to worry about me."
"I know you are... but no matter what, your own health is important too..." Charlotte softly persuaded, looking at Annie Anne’s haggard appearance, her eyes full of compassion.
"Besides, Oliver Hudson is now out of danger and there’s no major problem. You wouldn’t want him to see you looking so worn out when he wakes up, would you?"
As she spoke, Charlotte had already handed the food in her hands to Annie Anne.
However, upon hearing Charlotte’s words, Annie Anne’s shoulders slightly slumped.
She then trembled, raising a hand to press against her own cheek.
Seeing this, Charlotte began to ponder whether to say anything more, when she saw Annie Anne stand up abruptly from the chair and quickly walk out of the ward.
"Annie!"
Annie Anne’s sudden action took Charlotte by surprise, and she called out, immediately stepping forward to follow Annie Anne.
Yet, already in the corridor, Annie Anne seemed to lose strength, leaning against the cold wall.
She shrunk there alone, like a wounded little beast.
"Annie..."
Charlotte cautiously approached, reaching out a hand with the intention of touching Annie Anne, but was met with an emotional reaction from Annie Anne.
She raised her head, her eyes reflecting a fragile and shattered light.
"He will wake up, right?" Annie Anne asked, her tone full of probing uncertainty.
"Of course, Oliver Hudson will wake up. Didn’t the doctor say that he is now out of danger? All we have to do is wait for him to wake up." Charlotte stepped forward and held Annie Anne’s hand, only to find her palm cold as ice.
"But..."
Annie Anne initially wanted to say more, but Charlotte interrupted her quickly.
"Annie, you must not blame yourself. This isn’t your fault."
"No... how is it not my fault? It was my stubbornness, my nature, that got him into this state... It’s all me, it’s all my fault..."
Annie Anne immediately retorted.
Crying, she asked, "What if he never wakes up, what will I do?"
"Annie Anne!"
Charlotte raised her voice, calling out Annie Anne’s name.
"Why can’t you think more positively? Why can’t you believe that Oliver Hudson will wake up soon? Annie, there are some things I can’t say, but you should know in your heart, I don’t want to see you like this."
Charlotte’s words left Annie Anne stunned.
However, Charlotte didn’t care what kind of response Annie Anne would give; she just grasped Annie Anne’s shoulders earnestly and said,
"So the important thing now is for you to take care of yourself. I believe Oliver Hudson wouldn’t want to see you in such a haggard state when he wakes up."
