Thrusted into a world ruled by women-Chapter 201: Gotta Run
Jin groaned as his arm healed from the attack Eve had used against him. It felt numb, but after giving it a little shake, his arm was good to go.
"So much for a safe house." He sighed. π³ππ²ππ¨ππ―πππ§ππΉ.π°πΌπ
Walking around the area, he picked up everyone and rested them next to each other so he could properly heal them. Addison had woken up, her body naturally mending itself because of her powers, but she was still mentally out of it.
Their injuries were nothing to scoff at, either. Oculia lost her eyes, both of Bittanyβs arms were broken, Anyssa lost a leg, Lacena had a hole in her chest, barely alive, and the injuries for the rest were of a similar nature, except for Jinβs mother and grandmother. They were fine, but still beaten.
Within 10 minutes, all of them were healed completely and got back on their feet.
Anyssa grabbed her head, feeling it pound from the pain she was in. "Ugh, Jin? Thank goddess youβre here. That woman who attacked us was a powerful Esper and Mage. She was too much to handle andβ"
"Yeah, I know. Itβs okay. Youβre fine now. And sheβs dead, so donβt worry about it."
She nodded and tried to calm her racing mind.
"We should move. This place has been compromised. I donβt know how Eve knew we were here, so we should move before she gets our location again. Besides, who knows if she called the authorities to fuck with us?"
Everyone agreed.
"Do you have a place in mind?" Addison asked
A sigh escaped Jinβs mouth. "I do, but youβre not going to like it." He turned his attention to his grandmother.
"What? Donβt tell me youβre planning on going to my house? That place was swarming with agents and officers."
"You have a bunker underneath your house. Itβs large enough to hold all of us. And itβs hidden while also being decked out with the latest technology. Itβs pretty safe there."
"Only if weβre able to get to my home safely. And even if we do, we would still have to get past the people who occupied it."
"That wont be a problem." Jin smiled
"Yeah, but that will be." Angela pointed into the sky at a whole fleet of airships coming their way. Some were marked as the Military, while others were Aegis Corps.
"So she did call this in. What a bitch."
"We can take them!" Angela wasnβt running away from a fight.
"No. Weβre leaving. We have no reason to fight them. Besides, all of you need rest." Jin was about to open a portal when a woman landed right in front of him with a loud thud, destroying the ground beneath her feet.
"Padrella." Jerrica greeted the woman.
"Jerrica." She greeted back.
"Friend?" Jin asked
"Since childhood."
Then, another woman landed behind the group this time. Judging by her uniform, she was from the Military, and Lacena, Anyssa, Oculia, as well as the other older Aegis Corps members, recognized her.
"Obeah?!" Jessa asked in shock, wondering why someone like her was here.
"You all have been a pain in the ass recently, especially you, Jin Telegard." Obeah pointed at him, a smirk growing on her face.
"Would you believe me if I told you that I actually havenβt done anything for the past six months?" He asked
"You expect me to believe that? Youβve been caught harming civilians, attacking local police, and even storming a military outpost. Weβve caught you in 4K."
"4K? Thatβs like, shitty quality in this era."
"The point is that youβre under arrest. Come quietly and donβt resist. But Iβm hoping you do." She cracked her knuckles.
"Who the fuck are you to tell us what to do?" Angela shouted, getting in the face of Obeah.
"Angie, sheβs the secretary of defense," Jin informed her.
"Ohhh. I see." She backed away slightly.
Just then, the many airships landed, and the soldiers and vanguards circled the area to prevent everyone from escaping.
"Jerrica, as your friend, Iβm advising you to stand down. I donβt want things to get ugly." Padrella held out her hand, hoping Jerrica would take it.
"Pady, Iβve spent the majority of my life dedicating myself to the Aegis Corps, only for it to tear my family apart. There are many things I regret and many things I wish I could go back in time and change a lot. But I canβt, and as the Elder of my family, I have to protect them with my life."
Padrella nodded. "I understand."
"Thank you."
Obeah smiled, understanding what this meant. She pointed two fingers forward and spoke. "Kill them."
"Heh." Jessa took one step, and everything was already in slow motion. She moved around the battlefield, knocking soldiers out, dismantling weapons, and binding people with the power-dampening cuffs that were meant to be used on herself and the others.
Jin watched his mother move around and laughed when he saw her flick off one woman and slap another across the face for no apparent reason.
When Jessa finished having fun, all of the soldiers and vanguards were out of commission.
"So, what do you plan on doing now?" She asked
"Padrella. Letβs handle this." Obeah walked forward
"Right."
But when they got too close, their bodies sank onto the ground.
"W-What the hell? Whatβs going on?"
"Normally, I would engage you lot for the fun of it, but Iβm on a timeline right now, and I have more important things to do. It was nice speaking with you, though." Jin opened a portal and told everyone to walk through it.
"See ya, suckers!" Angela flicked them off and jumped through the portal.
One by one, everyone went through until Jin was the last one.
"Donβt take another step! You are under arrest! Stop where you are!" Obeah managed to stand, albeit barely. Her legs were still trembling, and her nose was bleeding because of the strain.
"Donβt try and be a hero. It will only get you killed." Jin turned to leave, but Obeah summoned every ounce of her strength to lunge at him.
Of course, that amounted to nothing as Jin simply grabbed her by the throat.
"You know, I had no plans on harming any of you, but the more I lay my eyes on you, the angrier I get. And when I get angry, I do stupid things, like this." With a thought, Jin blanketed his mana around the area and killed every Aegis Corps and Military personnel there, leaving Obea and Padrella alive to deal with the fallout.
"Bye." He tossed her away and walked through the portal.
