Thrusted into a world ruled by women-Chapter 239: Jin versus Eve
Explosions occurred all over the city as Jin and Eve battled as if the fate of the universe depended on one of them winning.
They were both flying extremely fast, their speed causing enormous amounts of damage to the surrounding areas.
They were in Tartarus since that was where Eve was based, so the people here were screaming in fear, similar to the people of Othrys during the war.
"Dammit!" Eve was struck in the shoulder as Jin zigzagged around buildings to land a hit on her.
She extended her arms toward him, thousands of mana constructs in the shape of small wings with razor-sharp edges flying toward him.
It took one hand to swat all of them away, his hand moving extremely fast, and Jin used that kinetic energy to create a shockwave that blasted Eve into the distance.
Strings of mana wrapped around a building nearby, and she swung around it, landing a kick in Jin's back that sent him crashing into the ground.
Unfortunately for her, Jin had grabbed her leg in the process, and as he crashed into the ground, he slammed her into the ground as well.
"Nngh!" She grunted after feeling the wind get knocked out of her.
Jin's hand slammed into the ground, a razor-sharp mana blade piercing the ground, and Eve uppercutted him with her palm.
Jin's power of concepts didn't work on Eve, but they did work on him, so when she struck him, Jin changed the concept of the strike to feel as if a gust of wind blew into his face.
With a smirk, he shot his head back around and blasted her in the chest with heat vision, carving Eve through the ground and sending her hundreds of feet away.
He took off toward her, but Eve was prepared.
She clasped her hands together, and runic symbols surrounded her.
Layers upon layers of space separated Jin from her, and each layer had a spell that made anything they touched turn into ash.
Even Jin had no counter to this since Eve had woven the Law of creation into her spell, so he approached the situation differently.
He sent Shadow Jin first, shattering the first space barrier, but he turned into ash. Next, Jin threw his sword into the space, cracking it, then slammed into the blade with his feet, shattering the space, and moved forward.
After that, Jin pulled out an energy rifle, charged it up with the Law of Energy, and blasted a hole in two layers of space, allowing him to dive right through them. And for the last space barrier, he brute-forced his way through, punching it so hard that not only did the space shatter, but the world shook.
But just as the spell had determined, Jin's body started turning into ash, but his power of concepts said 'No', and by combining that with his mana, Jin was able to solidify his body and still move like normal.
Being a demigod meant that Eve could react to things quicker than normal, so when she saw Jin about to knock her out, she made a double portal.
In front of her, a portal opened to make Jin fall through, and to her side, she made another one and prepared a spell to restrain him so she could then kill him.
Unfortunately for her, Jin was as quick as she was, so when the portal opened, he grabbed the edge of it, whipped around into the second portal faster than normal, and slammed his feet into Eve's side, knocking her through multiple buildings.
"Don't tell me this is all you got, Eve! A few months ago, you could have killed me with ease! But now, your status as a demigod doesn't mean shit!" Lifting up his hand, Jin created a multi-layered magic circle with runes floating all around them
"Jess, the satellite."
[Already in position.]
His magic circles were acting as a super focused lense that would concentrate and overcharge the laser cannon that was connected to the satellite he had in space.
To make sure Eve couldn't escape, he bound her to the ground and extended the magic circles to encompass miles of land.
"You wouldn't!" Eve smirked. "There are innocent people all around us! You wouldn't sacrifice their lives just to kill me!"
Jin hesitated, his hand faltering and his expression changing into concern. It was true that he would be killing innocents if he continued with this attack. Thousands of people would die, people who had nothing to do with this.
His hand rose, a smile formed on his face, and Jin glared at Eve with an expression she had never seen on him before, pure indifference.
"I don't give a fuck."
Jessa fired.
The beam passed through the magic circles, increasing its intensity and completely obliterated the city they were in.
Fire, ash, soot, and smoke clouded Jin's vision, or at least attempted to. He could still see through the dense black smoke and saw that Eve was wheezing on the ground, her body severely burned by his attack.
However, something was off, extremely off. Eve was a demigod, so she could have defended against the attack with ease, or at least enough to not be in her current position.
Her body was healing, but Eve was still lying on the ground.
Floating down to her position, Jin walked over to her and picked up his former lover by the throat.
"What are you plotting? This isn't your full strength."
"Heh, h-how do you know? I could be going all out right now."
Jin frowned. "I've battled plenty of demigods, and even you're stronger than the weakest ones I've fought. You want me to beat you. Why?"
"Heh, I guess you were caught up in the moment and forgot about your original purpose for coming after me, huh?"
That's when Jin remembered. "You were stalling for time."
"So you are smart."
Just then, someone came up from behind and attacked Jin. He reacted quickly and put out his arm to block the attack, not even needing to look and see who it was, but that was a mistake that would cost him.
His entire arm was split in half down the middle of his palm, and his power was instantly vaporized as if it had never existed in the first place.
"Arghhh!" Jin quickly backed away and put some distance between himself and his attacker, healing his arm and looking up to see who it was. Once he did, his eyes widened.
"Remember me?" Jin asked himself. More specifically, his original body asked.
"I-Impossible. There are still two months left!"
"Yeah. The nexus energy didn't just strengthen the soul; it boosted the merge. Now, the project is complete. Say hello to your former self, you bad boy."
A bead of sweat ran down his face as he prepared for the most intense battle of his current life. The runes on his body activated, the Seven Laws of the universe were pulsing around his body, and Jin had his powers on standby to use when the time needed.
His energy skyrocketed upon his going all out, and his original body smiled.
"Originally, I was the clone, but now, you're the imitation." Orijin attacked.
