To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 95: How are you?

Kang-woo took a cold bath. His emotions were swirling around for a long time, that he got lost and decided to play the piano. Though, he had calmed down now, he was not certain it had not affected his coming rut.

So, he downed himself with cold water during this cold weather. Thankfully, he had been sweating a lot so it wasn't as cold as one would think.

But he couldn't help but wonder about Chin-hwa's sudden attitude change. Just the other day, he felt so irritated that he didn't want to do anything with him, but today, he came to him on his own with that expression on his face.

What was he supposed to think right now?

Could he consider this a good thing or not? Did his little hint make him open up or was he just... Testing him?

Kang-woo got out of the bathroom and then looked at the mirror. He had tied his towel around his waist, but even then, the scar on the side of his abdomen was still very visible.

He could try to get rid of it with Lazer treatment. They were so advanced for getting rid of surgery scars nowadays. But... What good would that do him?

He sighed and decided to look through his closet for something suitable to wear.

Kang-woo had thought maybe Chin-hwa left him a clue by saying ash coat because he wanted them to wear similar outfits, so he got one of his coats that looked similar to Chin-hwa's coat and a scarf.

He wasn't exactly a fan of beanies and it wasn't even that cold outside. So, he finally got out of his room, only to realize that the one he was actually matching with was Yun-Tae.

Did Chin-hwa do this on purpose? After all, did he really want him to love Yun-tae?

Chin-hwa noticed him and turned his head to find him standing still while staring at them.

"Ah, you're here." He said and got up. He could understand the look of surprise on his face since it looked like Chin-hwa set him up to wear exactly the same thing as Yun-Tae.

But he was just doing this to remind himself not to fall into delusion too much. After all, he was a couple with Yun-tae.

"Yes," Kang-woo answered and looked up at Yun-tae. "Hi," he said with a warm smile, "How are you?"

"I'm doing good, th-thanks." Yun-tae answered and secretly glanced around with his eyes.

Followed by what he heard that day, he came to understand a variety of things.

One was that both families probably already saw a future that Chin-hwa and Kang-woo could not yet see. The other was that Kang-woo loved Chin-hwa so much that he was prepared to do anything for him.

Even though it included dating his friend like he wanted.

This actually brought him to sadness. Not the fact that he was a second option but the fact that Kang-woo never really gave it his all.

He had thought that Kang-woo would come to love him eventually, just like he promised he would, but it was impossible from the start. It was just a lie he told himself.

With the way he was and where his feelings rested on, there was no way he would've been able to love someone else.

This fact also did not necessarily hurt him. Maybe it was because he had realized his feelings weren't exactly... 'there'

'Gosh, I'm so confused. Just what am I feeling? And where are my feelings directed to?' he grabbed his hair. 'I know I like Kang-woo and I was convinced I was in love with him only till a few days ago. Then... Do I also like Chin-hwa? Because...' he glanced up, watching them smile and laugh as they talked. '...I feel happy when I'm around him. Seeing him smile makes my heart race. But I want to see him smile at me.'

Realizing this, he turned around. His feelings were a mess. He was stuck wondering if he liked Chin-hwa and Kang-woo or if one feeling was a fraud, trying to confuse him from the other, which was real.

'I need... An expert.' he thought.

"Alright, let's head out now." Chin-hwa announced and Yun-tae slowly lowered his hand from his hair.

"Where are we going?" He asked but before Chin-hwa answered, he walked towards him and brushed his hair with his fingers.

"You're so silly. How did you manage to make your hair look like a bird's nest in less than a minute?"

Yun-tae stared at Chin-hwa even as he brushed his hair down. Without realizing it, he zoned out.

"There, all done." Chin-hwa said and glanced down to see Yun-tae staring at him so intently. "What? Is there something on my face?" He asked but Yun-tae immediately tore his gaze away, flushing.

"N-no, you just... Look so pretty." Yun-tae said and Chin-hwa, who almost did not see that coming, laughed.

"So, you're also a sucker for my face, huh?" He said. "But don't stare too hard because you just might end up falling for me."

Yun-tae's heart skipped a beat. Ah, what was this?

"You... You don't need to warn me." He said and pursed his lips. 'Cause I think I'm already falling.'

"The car's ready." Kang-woo announced, heading back inside the house and interrupting them.

Yun-tae knew Chin-hwa meant that as a joke but his heart didn't know how to take such words as a joke. Just why did his heart have to start beating for Chin-hwa as well?

"Oh good." Chin-hwa said. "I'll go inform your mom that we're leaving."

Yun-tae was left with Kang-woo who noticed Yun-tae's flush that he was hiding behind his arm.

"Are you okay?" He asked, getting closer and Yun-tae nodded.

"Yes, I'm fine." He said but he had no idea Kang-woo was already standing in front of him.

He held Yun-tae's hand and slowly lowered it, getting a full view of Yun-tae's reddened face.

It only confirmed his suspicion but he acted oblivious and carried on.

"Are you cold?" Kang-woo asked, pressing his hand to Yun-tae's forehead. "Your face is red and all. Are you sick?"

"N-no," Yun-tae answered, avoiding eye contact. "I'm perfectly fine. Just a moment there I... It's nothing to worry about, Kang-woo." He said and Kang-woo observed him for a while.

"Fine." He answered and let go of him. "But if you feel like you're getting sick, just let me know, okay?" He pressed his lips on his forehead and then smiled at him.
