To Love A Villain-Chapter 191: Let Me At Her
>>Amber
Hael glanced between us, "Amber, maybe we should just—"
"Stay out of this, Hael!" I snapped, my eyes locked onto the actress. "This is between me and her." I didn’t like the attitude this bitch was giving me. Who does she think she is to try and stop my husband!!?
She leaned forward, a smirk playing on her lips. "Oh, so you think you’re the only one who gets to decide what he does? Maybe he likes my company better than yours. Ever thought of that?" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
With every word she said, the tension in the air thickened. I could feel Hael shifting uncomfortably beside me, clearly caught between us. "Amber, I really don’t want to fight," He said, but his voice was drowned out by the actress.
"You think you’re so special," She continued, her voice dripping with condescension. "But you’re just another girl trying to hold onto a guy who could have anyone he wants. He’s famous, and you’re... just his manager!"
"Just his manager?" I repeated, incredulity mixing with fury. "I’m not just some phase in his life, unlike you!"
I had my back to Hael, so I did not notice him make an amused expression at my words.
The actress’s expression hardened, and I could see the flicker of anger behind her drunken bravado. "Don’t act like you own him. He’s a free man, and you don’t control who he spends his time with." She walked around us.
Before I knew it, she shoved Hael toward me, trying to assert her dominance. "Why don’t you ask him, huh? Ask him if he wants to leave with you or if he wants to stay here with me!"
That was the tipping point. I felt a surge of adrenaline as I took a step forward, shoving her back. "Don’t put him in the middle of this! You’re being ridiculous!"
"Ridiculous?" She echoed, laughter spilling from her lips again, though it lacked any real humor. "You’re the one dragging him away from a good time! Maybe he’s too good for you!" Our fight had started to wake some people up.
I felt my heart race as the argument escalated, my fists clenched at my sides. "What does that even mean? Just because you’re a celebrity doesn’t make you better than anyone else. It just makes you more superficial!"
Her eyes widened, and before I knew it, she lunged at me. I barely had time to react as she tried to push me away, the impact jolting me back.
"Stop it!" Hael shouted, but his voice was drowned out by the chaos.
I stumbled but quickly regained my balance. "You want to throw a punch? Fine!" I shot back, my temper flaring. "I’m not backing down!"
"Bring it on, manager!" She sneered, her stance wide and aggressive.
Just as we were about to clash, Hael stepped in between us, raising his hands in a futile attempt to calm the situation. "Both of you, stop!" He demanded, his voice firm and authoritative.
But the tension in the air was palpable, and I could feel my heart racing with adrenaline. I glanced at the actress, who was now standing with her fists balled, and then back to Hael, who looked more bewildered than ever.
"Hael," I said, trying to catch my breath, "You need to tell her to back off."
He opened his mouth to respond, but the actress cut him off. "You don’t get to make the rules here, Manager! This is his life too!"
"And he gets to decide who he wants to be with!" I shot back, feeling the anger coursing through me like wildfire.
"Maybe he wants to be here, having fun with people who actually enjoy with him!" She retorted, her eyes narrowing dangerously, "Not some stuck up pansy," She pointed at me with her hand, "Who’s also ugly."
Hael shook his head, "Can we all just take a step back? I didn’t come here to start a fight."
"Then why are you still here?" I pressed, my gaze locked onto the actress.
"Look at the way she’s talking to you," The actress said,
"You keep your mouth shut," I said, "You skank, this is between me and him,"
As the heated words flew between us, the tension escalated quickly, spiraling into chaos. The actress’s eyes narrowed, and without warning, she lunged at me. I barely had time to brace myself before her fingers tangled in my hair, yanking me back with a fierce tug.
"Get off me!" I shouted, instinctively reaching up to grab her wrist, but the pain surged through my scalp, and I felt my heart race with a mix of fear and anger. I twisted to break free, but she pulled harder, her grip tightening.
"Who do you think you are?" She hissed, her breath reeking of alcohol. "You’re nothing but a nobody trying to cling to someone famous!"
"You’re the nobody!" I shot back, my anger igniting like a flame. "You think being a celebrity gives you power over anyone? You’re pathetic!"
With that, I swung my free arm back and connected with her shoulder, causing her to stumble slightly. The moment her grip loosened, I took the chance to break free, spinning around to face her fully.
"Don’t you dare touch me again!" I warned, feeling the adrenaline coursing through my veins. But she wasn’t done; the fire in her eyes flared, and she charged at me again.
This time, I was ready. I sidestepped her lunge, grabbing her arm as she passed and using her momentum against her. I twisted her wrist, forcing her to release me completely. But she was quick, using her other hand to shove me back, sending me stumbling.
I regained my balance, my heart pounding in my chest as I glared at her. "Is this really how you want to settle things? Like a child in a playground?"
Her lips curled into a mocking smile. "You think you can fight me? You’re just a wannabe manager!" She lunged again, this time catching me off guard as she aimed a fist at my midsection.
I barely managed to dodge her punch, feeling the whoosh of air as her fist passed by me. In that instant, I countered with a quick jab to her side, feeling the satisfaction of making contact. She gasped, stumbling back, but fury filled her eyes, and she charged again.
"Stop!" Hael shouted, desperation lacing his voice as he stepped forward, trying to intervene. But neither of us was listening; the fight had taken over, and we were too caught up in our anger. Other people watched us with half open eyes. Some even began cheering at us.
There were a few who opened their phones and began to film.
"Stay out of this, Hael!" I yelled, determination pushing me forward as I met her attack with a swift kick, landing it squarely on her thigh. She winced but didn’t give up, retaliating with a wild swing aimed at my head.
I ducked just in time, the punch missing by inches, and quickly retaliated with a shove that sent her crashing into the nearby table. It wobbled under the impact, glasses clinking dangerously close to the edge.
"Why are you even here?" I demanded, breathing heavily as I took a step closer. "To take advantage of someone drunk!?"
She scrambled to her feet, brushing off the debris and glaring at me with pure fury. "You bitch! What are you even saying!? We were just having fun!"
"Exactly what I saw!" I laughed bitterly, the sound sharp and cutting. "Fun!? Trying to take advantage of someone isn’t fun!"
The actress lunged again, and this time, I was ready. I sidestepped her attack, grabbing her arm and twisting it behind her back. She squealed in surprise, struggling to break free, but I held on tight.
"Enough!" I hissed, trying to maintain control. "This is childish!"
But she twisted and jerked, trying to free herself. In a sudden movement, she elbowed me hard in the ribs, catching me off guard and making me loosen my grip. She spun around, finally breaking free from my hold and shoving me back hard.
I stumbled, trying to regain my balance, but she followed up with a swift kick to my shin, and I winced in pain. Anger surged through me, and I fought back, launching forward and tackling her to the ground.
We hit the floor with a thud, and I landed on top of her, pinning her arms down. "You don’t get to treat people like this!" I shouted, adrenaline fueling my movements as I fought to maintain control.
But she wasn’t going down without a fight. She squirmed beneath me, trying to push me off, but I held my ground, determined not to let her get away. "You don’t own him!" She spat, her face flushed with rage.
I felt a pair of arms come down to me but stopped for a moment when I spoke.
"No, but I care about him!" I retorted, feeling a sense of urgency wash over me. "You’re just using him for your own gain!"
Just then, I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist, lifting me off the actress. "Amber, stop! This isn’t worth it!" Hael’s voice broke through the chaos, and I realized he was trying to pull me away.
I struggled against him for a moment, but I could feel my energy draining as the adrenaline began to fade. "Hael, she’s—"
"Enough!" He said firmly, setting me down gently but keeping me close. I glanced back at the actress, who was now sitting on the floor, breathing heavily and glaring up at us.
Hael turned his attention to her, his expression serious. "You need to leave. This isn’t how you treat people."
The actress huffed, her bravado slipping as she slowly picked herself up, brushing off her clothes. "Whatever," She muttered, her tone sour. "I don’t need this."
I watched as she turned and stalked away, her shoulders tense with anger and embarrassment. Hael held me close, his presence a calming force as the adrenaline slowly faded.
"Are you okay?" He asked, concern etching his features.
"..." I looked back at him in surprise, "I’m fine," I said, trying to catch my breath, but the rush of emotions still coursed through me. "I just... I couldn’t let her disrespect you like that."
He sighed, relief evident in his eyes mixed with something cunning, "As expected from my manager," His smile felt a little sly but in my raging emotions I didn’t pay much attention to it.
I nodded, "I had to protect you,"
Hael smiled softly, brushing a stray hair behind my ear. "You did. Now, let’s get out of here before we end up in more trouble."
