Together Apart: Her White Moonlight Has Returned Too-Chapter 23: Instigating Me to Be Cuckolded
Vera Yves couldn’t help but look up at Luke Shaw.
Luke moved a bit closer, his eyes carrying a playful look, "They’re having their fun at our expense. Why don’t we get back at them?"
Vera’s face turned cold, "Mr. Shaw, I don’t know what you’re talking about."
"Why deceive yourself like this, Mrs. Valentine?" Luke looked at Vera. Vera was very beautiful, with a cold temperament. Her eyes seemed to hold countless words but still conveyed indifference and aloofness, easily stirring a man’s desire to conquer.
In this circle, he had seen all kinds of beauties and slept with quite a few, but someone as enticing as Vera was a first.
"I’ve heard about Winston Valentine and Cecilia Vaughn for some time now. Winston never even considered you as his wife," Luke coaxed, "He clearly doesn’t have you in his eyes or mind. Wouldn’t it be better to find someone else who appreciates you?"
Vera’s face completely turned cold, "Mr. Shaw, please mind your boundaries. You and Cecilia are still just getting acquainted. If you think it’s not working, you can bring it up, why..."
"Vera!" Cecilia looked at her angrily, "What do you mean?"
Vera looked up to see Cecilia and Winston had returned.
When Winston saw Luke leaning over so near to Vera, his face darkened immediately. He strode over and pulled Vera up from the chair.
Cecilia looked at her hatefully, "I just left for a little while, and you couldn’t wait to seduce my boyfriend! Do you like taking what’s mine that much?"
Luke quickly said, "Cecilia, don’t misunderstand. Mrs. Valentine’s clothes got stained, and I was just helping her clean it up."
Only then did Winston notice the stain on the left side of Vera’s shirt near her chest.
Clean it up? Thinking of Luke’s hand having touched there, Winston tightened his grip on Vera’s wrist, "Don’t you have hands of your own?"
Vera hurried to explain, "I didn’t ask him to help me clean it."
Cecilia laughed mockingly, "He didn’t help you clean it? Did you really need to stand so close to talk? Vera, I know you resent me for making your mom kneel for me! But that’s what The Yves Family owes me!"
As Vera tried to explain, Luke interrupted her, "I just noticed that Mrs. Valentine seemed to be in a bad mood, so I just comforted her a little, Cecilia, don’t overthink it."
Comfort her? Winston’s face grew colder.
"You’re my boyfriend, why do you keep speaking for her?" Cecilia looked at Luke discontentedly, "Are you really going to listen to her and break up with me?"
"Mrs. Valentine might have a misunderstanding about you..." Luke looked at Vera, "Mrs. Valentine, although I haven’t spent much time with Cecilia, I really like her and I won’t break up with her."
Vera never expected that a grown man like Luke could twist the truth.
Cecilia then turned pitifully, "Vera, I’ve already started a new life, why won’t you just let me be? Can’t you stand to see me happy?"
"I didn’t, he’s the one with ill intentions!"
Winston, clutching Vera’s wrist, no longer gave her a chance to explain, pulling her out of the restaurant.
With a sullen face, Winston threw her into the car, sat beside her, and ordered the driver to head back to the villa.
"Winston..."
"Shut up!"
Vera knew he was angry, so she chose not to explain anymore.
The car drove into the villa, and Winston dragged her back to the bedroom.
Looking at the stormy expression on his face, Vera instinctively backed away, "If I told you that Luke noticed something unusual between you and Cecilia, so he wanted to incite me to cheat on you, would you believe it?"
Winston undid his tie with one hand, letting out a cold laugh, "Who has an unusual relationship with whom? You’d better make yourself clear!"
Vera shook her head, "I didn’t instigate Luke to break up with Cecilia! It was Luke who..."
"I’m not deaf!" Winston’s gaze fell on her white shirt, his eyes deep and dark, "Take off your clothes!"
Vera continued to back away, shaking her head.
Winston looked at her angrily, "Mark kidnapped her, humiliated her, and she endured it; your mother just knelt a few times, and you can’t take it?"
Just a few times kneeling?
Even though she knew he looked down on The Yves Family, that was her mother, and also his elder. How could he say such a thing so lightly?
"That’s my mom!" Vera clenched her fists, "I’d rather be the one kneeling for her! Besides, Mark never did those things to her..."
Her chin was suddenly gripped, and Vera winced in pain.
"You believe whatever Mark tells you! Can’t you see the scars on her body?"
Vera looked directly at him, "Aren’t you the same, believing whatever Cecilia says!"
Winston applied more force, "I told you, I won’t tolerate you forever!"
Vera showed a pained expression, "Have you ever tolerated me? Winston, when have you ever had me in your heart or mind at all?"
Winston looked at her and suddenly laughed, "You want me to have you in my heart and mind? Don’t you know, you reap what you sow, and besides schemes and a deceptive mask, what have you given me?"
Vera’s heart filled with bitterness, "I’ve never schemed against you."
Winston mocked, "Then how did you become Mrs. Valentine?"
Vera shook her head, "Why won’t you believe me?"
"I did believe you were pregnant, so I married you, and what was the result?" Winston sneered, pushing her into the bathroom, "You really have a face that’s wasted on innocence."
Vera tried to escape, but he dragged her back, Winston tied her slender wrists with his tie, binding them to the wall lamp.
"Without experiencing it, how could you know what wrong Mark actually did?"
Hearing his words, Vera struggled fiercely.
Seeing the cruel glint in his eyes, Vera was scared, "Winston, what are you trying to do?"
Winston gazed at her pale face, "Scared? Cecilia was also scared when she was locked in that dark room."
Vera shook her head instinctively, "I didn’t follow her, nor did I incite anyone to break up with her. Winston, believe me, please?"
"Other than the chest, where else did he touch you?"
"I didn’t let him touch me!"
Winston pinched her cheek, "If you dare cheat on me, I’ll make your Yves Family disappear from Imperia completely."
Just as Vera was about to speak, her lips were sealed. The punishing kiss carried no warmth, leaving her tongue numb and lips aching. Vera couldn’t break free, so she bit down hard.
The metallic taste spread, and Winston released her in pain. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Panting, Vera realized he wouldn’t believe her, and he would humiliate her for Cecilia!
Vera’s eyes reddened, "Winston, even if I’m your wife, you can’t force me if I don’t want it! If you dare to do anything, I’ll sue you!"
Winston looked at her angry, flushed face, leisurely unbuttoning his shirt, "Sue me? Mrs. Valentine, what a bold statement. Want me to recommend a lawyer?"
Vera turned her head away, "Let me go!"
"Why not get Counselor Monroe?"
