Tokyo: My Superpower Refreshes Every Week-Chapter 69 - 68: His Name is Dio_1
Chapter 69: Chapter 68: His Name is Dio_1
「Time flew by.」
Afternoon classes, training at the Kendo club, dinner at home, and then the start of the night run.
After completing an hour of night running, Aozawa felt that the fatigue wasn’t as intense as it was in the beginning; he was gradually getting used to the pace.
Maybe it’s time to pick up the speed.
He twisted off the cap of the mineral water and gulped down a bottle, replenishing the fluids he had lost, then tossed the empty bottle into the trash can.
Aozawa was sweating profusely from his run, yet his expression showed not a trace of weariness, his eyes bright and energetic.
It was time for Black Kite Aozawa to come online.
He scanned the park with his X-ray Ability, made sure no one was around, entered a small grove, hid his phone, and transformed into Black Kite, soaring into the Tokyo night.
The colorful neon lights were enchanting, but in the darkness beyond the neon, crime was brewing.
Aozawa spotted a crime in a small alley.
「...」
Rumi Yoshizawa was in a panic.
As a graduate of a third-tier university, Rumi Yoshizawa also worked in a third-tier small company as a clerk.
The salary was low, and the work was tiring.
Her only respite was to visit the nearby tavern, where she’d listen to the conversations of others while slowly sipping her drink to relieve the pressure from the day’s work.
But Rumi Yoshizawa never imagined that reality would even deprive her of the right to enjoy such a simple drink.
Fearing trouble if she stayed out drinking too late, Rumi Yoshizawa usually chose to leave the tavern early, ensuring she was only slightly intoxicated.
She thought such caution would be sufficient, but she was still threatened by a criminal.
"Don’t, let go of me!"
"Stop pretending! Wandering around at night like this, aren’t you just trying to seduce me?"
As the man said this, his right hand landed a heavy slap across Rumi Yoshizawa’s cheek, the force sending her sprawling to the ground.
A sour pain and a chilling sensation washed over her.
Rumi Yoshizawa lifted her head, only to see the tall, heavyset man in front of her looking especially twisted and ferocious.
The blow had snapped her back to reality.
Given the difference in their sizes, there’s no chance I can fight back.
"Please, you’re right. Let’s not be hasty. Can we take things slow?"
While she softly soothed the criminal’s emotions, she stealthily dialed the emergency number on her phone.
Seeing her sudden cooperation, the man’s expression grew even more disdainful. "You bitch! You only behave after getting slapped. Stop playing innocent."
"You wear a short skirt and black stockings just to attract men, right? Don’t be fooled by my appearance; I’m actually quite talented in that department!"
"YES, YES."
Rumi Yoshizawa put on her insincere work smile. The moment the call connected, she immediately shouted, "Police! I’m in the alley two streets south of Gorou Tavern!"
"Someone is trying to assault me! Please hurry!"
"Understood, miss," the voice of a police officer came through the phone.
Rumi Yoshizawa said to the man before her, "If you don’t leave now, the police will come. I advise you not to ruin your life."
"You think you’re too good for me, you bitch?!"
Kobayashi Teito roared, "My life is already ruined! I’ve lost all my money in the stock market!"
"I’m going to jail either way!"
"Today, I’m going to fucking have you!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Kobayashi Teito began to unbuckle his belt, assuming a defiant stance, determined to have his way that night no matter what.
Rumi Yoshizawa turned deathly pale with fear.
She realized she was wrong; not everyone could think rationally.
Impulsive criminals like this are more easily swayed by the emotions of the moment.
Rumi Yoshizawa thought for a moment and decided to give up resisting.
"Please, don’t be angry," she said, her tone shifting again from forceful to pitiable. "I was just kidding. You can do whatever you want."
She saw the handle of a knife protruding from the man’s shirt pocket; it was clearly a fruit knife.
If I continue to act resolute, I might anger him, potentially provoking him to stab me in a fit of rage. It would be better to adopt a low profile and endure a beating.
She began to undo her buttons.
"What kind of skill is there in bullying a woman? Let me be your opponent."
The deep, magnetic voice was so pleasant that Rumi Yoshizawa subconsciously stopped undoing her buttons. She looked up to see a tall, blond man walking in from outside the alley.
He had an imposing stature, and his face, with its sharp, clear lines, was like a statue of the War God Ares carved from granite.
However, his skin was so white it was almost translucent, and his eyes were so cold they seemed to penetrate deep into one’s soul, exuding an eerie and seductive aura.
It was hard to definitively categorize him as male.
"Who are you?!"
Kobayashi Teito bellowed, pulling a fruit knife from his pocket. He had no thought of fleeing; instead, he wanted to take down this man who clearly looked like a success.
The world won’t allow a man more formidable than me to exist!
"Dio."
The contrast between his black bodysuit and his flamboyant golden coat and trousers was stark.
The man crossed his arms and twisted his waist, striking a pose that was both confusing and somehow oppressive.
As he tilted his head, his cold gaze pierced through his golden hair, straight into Kobayashi Teito’s heart.
A tinge of fear flickered in Kobayashi Teito’s mind, making him subconsciously want to retreat.
Then he remembered his current state of having nothing to lose. What else is there in the world to fear? If I can take someone down with me, it would be worth it.
Kobayashi Teito could see the abdominal and pectoral muscles beneath the man’s black bodysuit. These were muscles that only those who worked out regularly could develop to such an exaggerated extent.
But those gym rats don’t understand; muscle, no matter how tough, can’t stop a knife.
"Die!" Kobayashi Teito roared, charging forward.
That kind of rigid bulk is just for show; he can’t possibly move fast enough to dodge my knife. Just one strike, and I can turn this seemingly successful man into a whimpering loser on the ground. To trample him, to ravage him, to listen to his pained cries would be a pleasure far greater than sleeping with a woman!
"Danger!"
Rumi Yoshizawa shouted instinctively. Her concern only intensified the distortion in Kobayashi Teito’s heart.
Women are despicable creatures, only caring about looks, physique, and money! I’ll prove that real men don’t need those things—all they need is strength!
The fat on Kobayashi Teito’s face, no longer showing its usual greasiness, now reflected the same ferocity as his eyes.
The blond man before him seemed petrified, frozen in that strange pose.
As they were about to collide, Aozawa mentally uttered, THE WORLD! and activated his Time Suspension Ability.
A grey filter swiftly engulfed the alley.
The man’s ferocious expression was frozen within the grey filter; his distorted malevolence posed no threat in the stilled world.
With his X-ray Ability activated, Aozawa quickly examined the man’s internal organs. Then, using Telekinesis, he seized the hand holding the knife, twisted it around, and plunged the blade directly into the man’s heart through a gap in his ribs.
The entire process took less than three seconds before time resumed its flow.
