As the tension between the two fighters continued to grow, Petricia left off with one more message.

"As long as you don’t kill the person," She said, seriously, "Then I’ll still be able to heal them fully."

Zylus was brimming with excitement when his system displayed exactly what he was now activating.

Just then, Victor grinned as he watched Zylus silently grow a shard, or rather, a Demonic Kin on the right side of his face. Pink cracks floated on that side, and his left eye glowed with a pinkish glow, as his right arms began cracking slightly outward.

He now became a beast with a pink glow, nothing more to say than that.

"So, this is one of your Demonic Forms?" Victor tapped on his jaw, "You’re the first I’ve ever seen that got this from Htrae."

Petricia watched intriguingly, not nervous, but ready.

"This should be enough," Zylus whispered, "Let’s get this going now."

’Mach 3.’ Mach 3 represents a speed three times the speed of sound, approximately 2,300 mph (3,700 Km/h) at sea level, marking high supersonic flight. Primarily used in aviation and aerospace for describing the speed of, for example, the SR-71 Blackbird or modern hypersonic missiles.

But right now, it wasn’t a plane moving this fast; it was a man. Not a man, but a Demon.

Zylus Elwis.

This wasn’t the fastest speed he had ever reached, but it was the quickest pace he had ever gained by using ’Demonic Kin,’ which is simply his deliberately activated ’rage mode.’

From the beginning, ever since he had received the systemic form of ’Demonic Kin,’ his speed would continuously increase after every use. And now, he had reached his limit while using this.

Though, just as stated earlier, he had bypassed this pacing before, going the Cosmic Speed Limit, also renowned as the ’Speed of light.’ Although this wasn’t while using ’Demonic Kin.’

At the time, he had unlocked something fresh, one that he had never even noticed he could activate, or rather, he didn’t know how to. Zylus realized it himself. At the moment, it was a rare occurrence; maybe luck played a factor in it.

He didn’t know, or rather, he didn’t understand how to activate it.

[Connection]

’Connecting’ was what had allowed him to move at the Cosmic Speed Limit, which combined both systems, his ’Human System’ and ’Demonic System’ together, like a harmonious play.

Without wasting any time, Zylus moved forward. Petricia watched, but was surprised at his sudden teleportation, or rather, his quick speed, which she couldn’t properly keep up with at Mach 3 pacing.

Victor waited, and waited, and waited. He stood with his eyes closed. Just as Zylus finally reached punching distance, it felt as though time seemed to slow. And in that moment where Zylus stretched his hand back, preparing to cut through Victor, he saw Victor’s facial expression change.

Slowly but surely, a creepy smile began to shape.

"Too slow."

Swift!

Without any force applied by Victor, he had raised one hand, catching Zylus’s katana while his eyes remained closed. The air pressure coming off from that blocked strike rubbed into both their faces.

But Zylus predicted as much; Victor was a sovereign after all.

And just then, Zylus went around the right side of Victor, leaving his Katana inside Victor’s palm, because now, Victor only has one hand to use.

When Zylus was going around, it seemed as though time slowed once more. Victor twisted his neck, looking at Zylus as he tried to go in behind.

He chuckled, which caught Zylus by surprise for just a second. Victor dropped Zylus’s katana, preparing to use both his hands to block one of Zylus’s other strikes.

But this wasn’t the case. Zylus stepped back, catching the katana being dropped with his left hand, as he ducked down from a punch that came strikingly from Victor.

Victor grinned, "Better than I thought. Truly, you’re something else, Zylus."

Zylus tried to keep his motion steady, so he decided to completely ignore Victor. As he caught his Katana, he pulled it back towards Victor’s neck, which was also blocked in one quick motion by Victor, but this time...

It was with his teeth.

"No need for compliments," Zylus stated calmly, "Just fight me to show some respect."

Just then, Zylus unhanded the handle of his katana as Victor tried going for a punch with his left and right fists.

Zylus dodged just barely, but Victor attempted to use the scales on both his wrists to strike down Zylus, which Zylus anticipated.

The dragon scales just barely missed, well, it didn’t. He was struck just on the forehead. Blood now gushed out of that area, yet it wasn’t even close to being enough to defeat Zylus.

Zylus then moved his right leg across Victor, pulling it back, as Victor tripped.

"There’s a difference between strength and brutal strength," Zylus said calmly, and now, time seemed to slow for both of them as Zylus readied both his fists.

"Strength is given to someone who thinks with their head while fighting. Realistically, the individual who mostly consists of the brains of the group will have ’Strength.’"

Zylus paused, staring down at Victor menacingly.

"It doesn’t mean being strong physically, but both physically and mentally."

He then breathed in, holding Victor on the stone floor.

"Rather, brutal strength is only physical. That’s the difference between us, Victor." Zylus continued, "I don’t need to only rely on my strength, because I’ll always adapt to any situation I’m put in."

He chuckled, "And this is why you’ll never beat me! Painful, isn’t it, Victor? Knowing that you’re not able to win against someone you looked down upon earlier!"

Bam!

Zylus struck him down with constant punches that were going at quick speeds.

"Master!" Petricia yelled in behind, afraid for his life, as she began running towards the bout.
