Transcending Realms With My Leveling System As A Demon-Chapter 121: Zylus vs The Orthus 3
The Orthus went back down right after, probably its last bit of life left, and now, Zylus was truly going to make an end to things.
Zylus coming out as the victor wasn’t some small feat, given his limitations and how he was meant to duel with the beast; it was probably one of his most impressive. Although his factors played a huge role.
One aspect that involved him coming out victorious was Orthus’s true speeding ability. It was never fast to begin with, was it did was dull his memories. The creature forced Zylus to believe it was teleporting from all directions, using a skill of its named [Mirror Image].
[Mirror Image] doesn’t create clones, but contextual images and screenings that can’t do anything but make silent noise, tricking their opponent into thinking it’s true. The Orthus only ever moved at [3,000km/h], which had Zylus thinking about why he can’t perceive it when he was moving at [1,000km/h].
It wasn’t adding up, so when he sensed it coming from all directions, Zylus figured it was some sort of skill or an ability able to trick himself.
Which...
"I was right," Zylus whispered, "You truly are weak."
He looked down to the Orthus, crouching down on the last eye it had open, to the right head, "Limiting my abilities, and yet, you still can’t outdo me? Truly, a pathetic creature indeed."
He chuckled, standing up as the right head of the Orthus let out a pathetic soft growl, blood poured continuously, "Have fun in the afterlife."
Zylus aimed both sickles high, watching the blood drip onto the creature’s last widened eye, then...
Stab!

Zylus remained in the same position as he was originally in, the same blood terrain he fought the Orthus inside of.
"When am I gonna get to leave-"
Upon seeing the rewards, he smiled gently, "I guess I could give this a shot here, on that dead body while it lasts."
"God dammit," Zylus whispered, seeing as how the Orthus began vanishing into thin air, leaving no trace of it behind.

[35% Movement Speed!]
Originally, Zylus was limited to just 2,000Km/h without [Demonic Kin] or [Transcendent Sovereign]; now, he’s able to boost it up by 35%.
It didn’t only apply to his original form, but also to any other. He can now move 35% plus, while utilizing any version of himself.
Thus, doing this math...
[Original Form]
[Intitia Speed: 2,000Km/h]
[Boost: 35% of the initial speed]
[Boost Value: 2,000Km/h * 0.35 = 700Km/h]
[Final Speed: 2,000Km/h + 700Km/h]
[ = 2,700Km/h]
Now, Zylus can move 700Km/h more than he was able to initially do.
[Bonus reward not granted since completion over ten minutes!]
Zylus frowned upon looking at that, but then accepted it, waiting to see the other new items he earned after dueling with the Orthus.

He waited for a couple of seconds, then finally decided.
For a while, his fingers began to shake after the constant tapping. So many System Points, yet he was way too tired to use them all.
And finally, it was over with, or so he believed.

[Lastly: Hidden Effect]
→ [The Orthus’s Mark]
Just then, Zylus felt pain, like something was playing with his heart.
"Aehhhhh!" He yelled, still standing in the sand, trying to understand what had happened.
"Ahhhhh!"
He screamed again, and the pain got worse.
And when he looked down, something was spreading across Zylus’s body.
Black shapes and things, ones he couldn’t explain.
But it just... Kept going-
"Ahhhh!"
Zylus gripped his chest, trying to get rid of the pain, but it didn’t stop.
He began to fade...
Fade into what seemed to be a deep slumber. That didn’t stop him; he pinched himself to stay awake, trying to survive whatever this was attacking him.
Though this didn’t matter, not anymore.
"Ahhhh!"
An echo radiated off that yell, as he began to trip onto the sand below him.
