Transcending Realms With My Leveling System As A Demon-Chapter 80: Mordain Avaris Vs Noelle Crucifix 2
Both of them stood in the middle of the arena ground, menacingly. An aura detached around their bodies as it suited them; the silhouette behind both had evil intent with no hesitation.
"Oh," Mordain sadly whispered, "I guess you won’t be able to go past this point."
Zylus kept his katana by his side, as Mordain, the fifth rank, glared up into the vast dark sky.
"What of it-?"
"It’s really a shame you see," Mordain continued, then locked his gaze with Zylus, "I really thought that you would help me kill Chris."
"I see what you want," Zylus paused, "you want status."
"I’m one of the top nobles after all, the house of Avaris hates the Talls, specifically, Chris Tall." He proclaimed, his fists tightened. "Every day, all I hear is Chris this Chris that, that I need to strive to be to his level, but why go to his level when I can bring him down to mine?" He asked, maliciously starting to walk forward.
Zylus slightly lowered his stance, wrapping one hand around the handle of his katana, and the other on the blade, both eyes gazing at a top five in the realm.
"Ah, ah, ah," Mordain increased the pitch of his tone spookily, "when fighting a top five, you have to be able to do more than just use your system."
Zylus then bent even lower, as his eyebrows started covering his view, and now it was time; he knew exactly what would have to be used.
"Three..." Zylus started the countdown.
"Two."
[Prepare Yourself!]
"One." Zylus calmly exhaled, intently staring at Mordain’s head, "False: Body Deception Technique."
[Technique: False: Body Deception]

Mordain crackled, and Zylus backed off on impact with Mordain’s suit.
"This fucker..."
Zylus paused, realizing he’s now facing the worst opponent he can ever fight.
"A little attack will never be able to put a scratch on someone with a defensive system," He opened his arms as he had already claimed victory, "you know that, don’t you, Zylus Elwis?"
[Systemic Flow Decreased By 15 Percent]
[Remaining Flow: 85%]
[Effects Decreased Since Defeating The Third Order]
"He knows my name?" Zylus then smashed his katana onto the ground, "he’s strong, but I can take him."
"What’s wrong, Zylus?" Mordain spoke once more, "Scared are you? What happened to your eagerness? You know, the one that you were eager to expand on?"
Zylus grinned. He opened his arms out. "Mordain, you made a mistake."
"Mistake?" He laughed it off; his arrogance had surpassed the id after easily defending Zylus’s first attack.
"A good defense," Zylus paused, "does not make a good offense."
Then he rushed forward, into Mordain, as Mordain stood there awaiting to block another slash using a technique from his defensive system.
"Technique: Barrier Repellent."
A yellow barrier started surrounding Mordain’s silhouette, as he watched the entire time, stretching his gloves to ensure his arrogance had reached new heights.
Zylus, being a few meters away, started preparing his own technique.
[[Technique: Demonic Kin]
[Uses: 1 Use Per Week]
[Definition: Just Use It]
[More Specifically: Use This Against a Powerful Opponent]
[Click Here To Use] → [OR] → [State The Technique]
"Here goes nothing..." Zylus dragged his katana across the floor, and the arena’s rocks started making a creaking noise. "Technique," he grinned, their gazes met.
"No matter what you got, you will never, not in a million years, be able to defeat me, Zylus." Mordain stood in one place menacingly, almost like he was bothered by the fight; he didn’t care about Zylus, not at all.
"Winning doesn’t favor the certain, it favors me."
"What?" Mordain, confused, laid his hands downwards; he felt overconfident.
"Technique." Zylus closed his eyes, "Demonic Kin."

[Good Luck!]
A shard started growing not just on the right side of Zylus’s face, but now... both of his arms began to take shape, as he had adapted to an actual Demon.
Zylus peered at Mordain’s eyes with a grin. The man, the top five, the one who proclaimed himself as evil, was now facing what this world had never seen.
True evil.
Zylus lifted his katana forward, in great shape, which crossed over Mordain’s barrier. Mordain looked at the sky as the moon perfectly aligned with the katana Zylus hung over the barrier.
"W-who..." Mordain spoke in hesitation, "Is this guy?"
Swift! With proper technique, Zylus’s katana ran through Mordain’s barrier, slicing it clean as particles spread throughout the terrain, leaning over towards the arena floor.
In this moment, Mordain put his head down; it seemed as though he had quit. But as Zylus was about to slice Mordain clean, one finger tapped onto his katana.
"Technique," Mordain whispered, "One Touch."
And in that moment, Zylus...
Bang! Slammed backwards, into the arena walls that circled behind him. It felt as though he was floating in mid-air, in one quick succession, in one movement, where he thought he had won, was the reason he was lying on the floor, the moon shone towards him.
He gazed upwards, and Mordain stepped forward.
"One touch," Mordain continued to walk, each step felt heavy, like it carried pressure from his aura, "a move I always love to reminisce about.
’One touch.’ As Mordain called it, one of his most useful techniques, one that’s able to distribute his entire defensive prowess, including his systemic flow, into one singular bone. The smaller it is, the more power it gains, and the stronger it repels.
’One Touch’ isn’t some normal defensive move. It also allows the user to reflect any attack, as long as the level of that attack is beneath Mordain’s ability, back at his opponent. It was one Zylus would now have to work around.
But Zylus’s back on the stone circular arena didn’t help; his blood that spat from his mouth didn’t either. He lay on the wall behind him, staring at the moon above.
"Die, ignorant bastard."
