Chapter 90: A New Chapter Begins...

At the time when these stabilities he thought he could surpass, or embrace past by, was the time when thoughts like ’Death’ or ’Weakness’ didn’t apply to a man such as himself, as long as he had Zylus’s blood.

But it soon came to fruition; Zenos couldn’t continue like this. With this lie that moral bounds don’t apply to his conscience. Similarly to how Shakespeare wrote Macbeth, when killing Duncan, he had lost all meaning. And soon, Zenos, if he had continued to heal, would also lose this meaning.

Back then, when Zylus first went to recover his injuries inside the hospital, there were some leftover blood tubes in the same room Zenos was in. He deliberately injected them into his own body using a needle, and slowly but surely, he began regaining consciousness.

Similarly to how the sun always overshadows the moon, the light embedded within Michael’s Spirit tool had always stuck with this limited information. However, Zylus had realistic bounds connected to his own perception, which not even he realized.

By these means, similar to how in math, a negative multiplied by its own sign equals the opposite, it connects to how Zylus’s ability to heal goes. He’s able to do more than simple means, but somehow, Zylus recovered rapidly.

It’s because he had Light and darkness within him. Think about it with these terms.

A Negative x A Negative = A PositiveA Positive x A Negative = A NegativeA Positive x A Positive = Positive

The one every being goes by is number three; there’s always damage to be done to anybody, no one can surpass this. However, let’s say these moral bounds are being transcended by a certain source.

What then? What would happen next? It would be like the scenario Zenos studied all this time.

A Negative x A Negative = A Positive. APositive x A Positive = Positive

This is the reality that Zylus now inhabits, one that he can’t escape, nor can he bypass it.

Since he always has Light and Darkness inside of him, he’ll be able to heal from those attacks. Because all of them will come out as ’Positive.’

Positive = Heal

Negative = Can’t Heal

But for Zylus, he wasn’t given any negative that came out of either equation; thus, his healing capacity extended far more than normal...

It was as if he had truly become an anomaly. But not even an anomaly can place him as a ’Fate decider.’ Gods are restricted by a heavenly path to interfering, so he had become something different entirely.

The Transcendent Sovereign. Zylus, surpassing everyone of his limits, by passing moral bounds, had finally shown the truth of this transcension, where it all started, and where it all began.

But then, something, information Zenos hadn’t been able to process for so long,g lingered throughout his journey in a wheelchair.

"Just who are your parents?" he thought out loud, "Really?"

It was a question that didn’t carry much thought but held so much more meaning than imaginable. One that needed to be answered.

As Zylus began regaining consciousness, he woke up in the same hospital room as he was in when he first fought Zenos, the same one.

The top five, now Reynolds replacing Mordain’s position after his death, stood around him. In front of them was Zenos, just sitting in his wwheelchair Zylus got up rapidly, immediately presented with water from Rasper, who had helped in searching for a new scout after Ivy fell unconscious, which was their second-best thief. Cassie Satella, the eighth rank.

She had stayed around for quite some time, then left as soon as Zylus’s vitals had started picking up. Zylus took the cup of water calmly, gulping it down his throat right away. He averted his gaze, knowing that he had just lost a duel, leaving him slightly weak.

He could barely move, but just enough to walk properly by himself.

"What is it you want from me?" He asked, "Questions? I’ll tell you, if I choose to." Zylus said calmly.

"Fucking bitch!" Rasper yelled out, grabbing the tip of his shirt, then pulling Zylus towards him. Zylusaverted his gaze. Rasper looked deep, "We decided not kill you after what you fucking did! And this is how you treat us?! Not even a thank you?! I knew we should’ve killed him-"

"Calm down," Chris walked forward, "right now isn’t the time, for now, let’s ask questions."

With all of them standing around him quietly, Zenos decided to intervene. Rasper dropped him back down, knowing that Zylus wasn’t about to give him any reaction.

"Hey Zylus," he waved his hand, "Forgot about me?" Zenos sneered, seeing the look in Zylus’s face somehow brought him excitement, one that he only felt in battle.

"How have you come back?" Zylus asked, surprised, but not as much as one would expect.

He leaned closer into Zenos’s ear, all of them watching, "Was it from my blood?" He asked maliciously s he leaned back into his bed.

Zenos, who now stayed quiet, his eyes widened as if they were about to pop out, began to shake.

"He knew all about this?" Zenos spat to his side, "So you finally believed what I had told you?"

"I tried not accept it," Zylus paused, "But it was my reality, and one I needed to steinto tooo surpass my own limits. I need to accept what must be fulfilled."

Zenos then began rolling to the exit, "I see, well, farewell." But one thing was certain: this wouldn’t be the last place he’d see Zenos in.

"Zylus," Chris stepped closer, none of them heard the conversation Zenos and Zylus had, "How have you gotten so strong?"

This question had him thinking plenty, a thought that he didn’t know if it would be better for him to keep it a secret or to tell the truth.

"I’ll."

Suddenly, time seemed to slow.

"I’ll order you, ruler of this realm, if you tell me the truth."

The sun outside began to rise, the day had already gone by, and now, morning had come into fruition.
