The time had arrived, and the sound of the bell rang from the direction of the academy's school building. Hearing that sound, the eyes of the audience all turned towards Eliza who standing at the back of the plaza.

Eliza stepped forward with her right hand and right foot moving together, entering the centre of the plaza.

In the venue that had become completely silent, Eliza took a small deep breath and opened her mouth.

"Thank you for gathering here. I am Eliza Woodford, a general faculty member of Fiddiq Magic Academy. This time, I will be presenting earth magic using golems. I look forward to working with you."

Despite having a nervous expression, she managed to finish her greeting without stumbling over her words. For some reason, I watched over Eliza's presentation with the seriousness of a mother.

"Eliza-chan!"

"Do your best~!"

Several men shouted words of encouragement to Eliza from nearby.

Who were they?

Thinking that, I checked the men's appearance, but their eyes, looking at Eliza as if in prayer, were filled with affection. It seems like they were her friends or something. They were a bit too enthusiastic, but if they were allies, that might be a good thing.

For now, putting the men aside, I turned my gaze back to Eliza.

Eliza had already started her incantation. Magic was activated, and the ground rose up, creating a mountain of sand. Eliza was at the top of the sand mountain, making everyone look up at her.

Perhaps because the faculty members had been giving magic presentations up until now, the audience didn't react and waited for what was to come.

I became slightly worried, so after watching Eliza close her eyes for the next magic and start concentrating on the incantation, I quietly gave her a helping hand.

Using magic, I stretched a film of water containing sand in the sky and cast a slight shadow, except for the part where Eliza was standing. By doing this, it would feel like Eliza's figure was naturally lit up.

Some people noticed the change in the sky, but most of them were focused on Eliza’s incantation and didn't react.

Eventually, the incantation ended, and Eliza raised her face to use her magic.

The magic was to lift objects from the ground and return the surrounding sand back to the ground. It's simple, but a magic that’s difficult to present. It probably required precise control of magical power.

However, Eliza was concentrating with an unusually serious expression and accurately casting the magic.

Eventually, the sand mountain returned to the ground as if time was rewinding. As the form of the golem gradually appeared, cheers rose from some of the audience. As expected of Eliza; the golem, with its meticulously detailed design, looked very cool. Eliza, having finished the incantation while on top of the golem's head, gave a light bow to everyone and then chanted further.

Could there be something more? What would she do next, I could only imagine she would move the golem, but what was she going to do?

Just like the audience, I focused my attention on Eliza, watching what she would do.

The incantation was completed in a few seconds, and the magic was cast. Then, from the ground around the golem that Eliza made, something appeared like moles popping their heads out.

"Ohh...!"

Someone raised a voice of admiration. And that was understandable. Amazingly, four new golems with different shapes appeared from the ground. A female-type golem, a golem with swords for arms, a large wolf-like golem and a beautifully formed horse golem rose up.

Not only did they look good, but the surprise was great as no one expected such differently shaped golems to come out.

"A horsie!"

As soon as the joyful cheers of a child were heard, the rest of the audience applauded. The presentation was a great success.

I released the water film floating in the air and joined the applause.

"Eliza-chan!"

"She's so cute this year too!"

Eliza's friends who were cheering earlier also clapped and cheered, looking very happy. They really seem like good friends.

I would be happy if Eliza gained a little more confidence from this. Thinking about that, I headed toward Eliza, who was cleaning up after the presentation.

"Good work, Eliza-san."

When I called out to her, Eliza turned to me and smiled bashfully.

"Ah, Aoi-san. Did you see it? I did a good job!"

I smiled at the happy Eliza and nodded.

"I did. I was surprised, too, since I didn't think you were preparing other golems."

When I answered that, Eliza laughed, slightly embarrassedly.

"Even though I received advice from Aoi-san, I didn't actually make the golems on the spot, so I felt a little guilty... So, I thought I'd show how I was able to quickly prepare the golems at the very end, on purpose."

"I see. Revealing a magic trick and then explaining how it was done at the end. That's very good, I think. The people watching were happy, so it was much better than what I had proposed."

When I showed my agreement to Eliza's words, she replied with an embarrassed laugh.

"Thank you. It was the first time I've received that much applause, so I was really happy."
