Transmigrated as Baron, Married with my Lovely Maid-Chapter 76
"WATCH OUT!"
Shouts of warning could be heard from all sides.
But it was too late.
I couldn’t even fully see the sports car behind me.
The damn car speeding toward me, intent on crash my body from behind.
Even if I had wind magic to dodge to the left or right, it was impossible because it was already too close.
But if I just jumped over it, maybe I could!
I jumped high, propelled by my wind magic, which sent my body spinning backward.
CRASH!
"Owh!"
My jump was high, but not fast enough, so part of my body still hit the window of that damn sports car.
My body spun, pushed by the car’s speed, and then landed hard on the floor.
SCREECH...!
The red sports car came to a screeching halt about 30 meters in front of me, still struggling to get up, my shoulder and back aching.
No one on the street seemed to care about this deliberate collision.
I saw their faces, pretending not to notice me or the reckless red sports car.
Heck... even the police officer who was patrolling there only glanced at me briefly and then left, pretending not to notice.
I saw that the car’s red license plate didn’t have a number, but a bow and arrow symbol, identical to the Archer Aerilus family crest.
And when the front door of the car opened, it was all clear.
It turned out the asshole who wanted to run me over was Dezy.
Dezy, in his sunglasses and smart suit, stared at me for a long time, as if enjoying my struggle to stand with bruised legs.
I saw two handguns strapped to his waist, one on each side, like a hardened thug.
"Hey, honey...look! I almost hit him!" Dezy exclaimed, disgruntled.
From the other side of the front car door, I saw a woman dressed in a fashionable dress, an expensive fur coat, and a dazzling gold necklace.
I immediately knew who she was.
Ela.
My ex-wife.
And she immediately gave me a disgusted look.
"Yes, honey...we were just a few minutes away from hitting him and crippling him for life." Ela said arrogantly.
Ela walked calmly over to Dezy, and they leaned close together, fitting the craziest couple in the world.
But now, I realized and knew that Dezy was Ulrich Aurelius.
It seemed like he also possessed magical powers that he was hiding in this world, so I had to be careful not to attack him rashly.
"You two should be in jail for deliberately trying to run me over," I said defiantly.
Dezy laughed disdainfully as she removed her sunglasses.
I could see her blue eyes staring at me with arrogance.
"Take us both to jail? Impossible! No one dares to touch me, Atreus! You’re the only one who dares, and do you know what the consequences will be? I could try to kill you, even in a public place like this!"
Absolutely insane.
I saw him like a tribal chief who had just taken over his colony with force and forced everyone to fear his terrifying power.
Dezy and I were still staring intently at each other, to the point where I forgot my little note with the address of the building where the auction angel’s pendant had fallen.
Ela noticed the little note and picked it up, as it was close by.
She read it, then looked at me.
Her disdainful smile immediately appeared.
"Are you serious about going to the Rainville building looking like a homeless person?! The Rainville building is where billionaires spend their money on antiques! How could you, having lost your job and looking like a homeless person, possibly get in there...!" Ela scoffed.
This shameless bitch is really pissing me off.
Doesn’t she realize that her manipulation efforts are destroying my life, getting me fired from the job where I’ve built a career for 17 years?
She even took all my assets!
"I’m definitely going in there and participating in that auction, you bitch," I said firmly.
"Bastard! What did you say to my wife, huh...?!" An irritated Dezy immediately aimed his handgun.
"You dare call me an inappropriate name, Atreus? Not that I care because you’re just a bum who has no self-respect anymore..." Ela chimed in.
"What’s inappropriate? You’re willing to be a whore for Dezy just to get rich, throwing away all my sacrifices as a responsible husband. You really are a disgusting bitch, Ela," I reiterated, undaunted even though Dezy looked like she wanted to pull the trigger.
"Ela! Let me kill him right here! Nobody cares if this useless homeless person dies!" Dezy couldn’t wait to pull the trigger, which Ela was holding back.
"Oh, dear Dezy... how about we go to the Rainville Building now? It looks like the auction is about to begin. We don’t have any time. I don’t want to miss the Angel’s Pendant auction!" Ela said with a pleading face and a pleading tone.
Ah, this bitch is after the Angel’s Pendant too.
Even though it’s worth millions of dollars, it doesn’t seem to matter to her because Dezy is a billionaire from his shady business.
Do I have millions or hundreds of millions of dollars to win the Angel’s Pendant?
Definitely not.
But that doesn’t mean I’m giving up so easily.
And I won’t immediately use my magic powers to seize it.
I’m sure there’s always the right moment to do that.
"Go away, you two. I’ll make sure I win the Angel’s Pendant," I said in a challenging tone, which immediately made Dezy and Ela stare at me in surprise.
A few seconds later, they looked at each other and then burst out laughing.
"Hahahahah...! Winning the Angel’s Pendant, you say...?! A homeless person like you wants to take the most expensive and unique piece of jewelry right now...?!Absolutely insane...! It looks like you’ve just taken some drugs that cause high, wild hallucinations, Atreus...!" Ela laughed arrogantly at me.
"Ahahahah...! Ohohohoho.....! What an idiot...! A homeless person like you can’t even get in, you idiot! Looks like you’re right, Ela...! He’d better not die now! I want to see his stupidity slowly destroy him while he suffers!" Dezy exclaimed arrogantly.
"Do you want to bet, Dezy? I’ll prove that I can have that Angel’s Pendant..." I challenged.
"Bet? You idiot... what do you have for the bet anyway? Even you sell your organ, that would be not enough and decent for the fucking bet, idiot...! Look at yourself, a dirty shirt and jeans with stinky mantle. With that homeless appearance, you’re not allowed to enter the Rainville building...!"
"Oh, are you scared...?"
"This jerk...looks like you’re right, Ela...he’s gone crazy and insane...! He no longer realizes that being homeless is his reality...! It seems I’ll have to let him live longer, tormented by his lonely dreams...or probably not!"
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
Three shoot from Dezy’s handgun released at the speed of bullet.
My spirit Rhaevor automatically activated, then my body flew away, landed so hard that feel almost made my bone broke.
The sharp bullets almost stroke breast and thigh, but it only managed to put a hole on my shirt and jeans.
The spirit Rhaevor suceeded hold the bullet that almost strike through my body.
Fuck.
"Hahahahah...! Had you awaken up yet, homeless bastard...?! Stay lie on the street just like you usually do! Speaking so high to put a bet on me, but you’re no fucking worthy, you useless trash! There’s no fucking way you can win me...!" Dezy insulted me arogantly.
"It’s alright, dear...no need to took him seriously. He’s a trash and....nobody’s going to save this trash anyway. He will be ended like a dying rat soon, darling! He deserved it...!" Ela replied alongside wifh the same arrogance.
Ela and Dezy mocked and insulted me with that arrogant laughter relentlessly.
Despite all of that mockery, one thing I realized was that Dezy, a.k.a. Ulrich Aurelius, didn’t seem to realize I was Atreus Vermillion from the wizarding world.
Atleast not yet.
And I took it as an opportunity to strike back for the Angel’s Pendant later.
"Ah...whatever...! I’ve had my fill of laughter and I don’t have time to deal with you anymore, you homeless idiot! The police will arrest you and take you to a social welfare center for rehab!" Dezy exclaimed as she walked away, getting back into her sports car with Ela.
Ela looked at me with disdain, even seconds before she got into Dezy’s red sports car, she was still sneering at me.
"The moment I force you to divorce is a supposed to be a right moment for you to understand how useless yoi are comparing with my dear Dezy. Such worthless man like yu deserve to die, Atreus...!" 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
The sports car’s accelerator revved, and Dezy immediately accelerated toward the Rainville building.
I stand up, checking myself, no seriouz injuries so far since the automated healing spell is worked.
But a few minutes later, I heard the sound of a police siren.
"Homeless detected as reported! We’ll immediately apprehend that homeless person!" said one of the officers.
Shit!
The police are going to arrest me?!
