Transmigrated as the fake young master, I'll beat up the scumbags and b*tches-Chapter 333Vol. 1 - - Two Bestie’s Private Chat
Today in class, Ye QiuXue overheard something—Shi Dan had gotten into a car accident on his way to school and was now recovering in the hospital.
No one expected that on a seemingly normal morning, his car would suddenly malfunction and crash straight into a wall on the street.
Fortunately, there were no casualties, but from what she heard, Shi Dan's condition was rather serious.
He could now only lie motionless in a hospital bed.
Ye QiuXue was a bit surprised upon hearing the news, but she didn’t dwell on it.
After all, whatever happened to Shi Dan had nothing to do with her. She had something more important to take care of today.
After school, Ye QiuXue packed her things and walked straight out of the campus. At the school gates, a girl in a trench coat leaned against a tree, tapping away on her phone.
The girl wore sunglasses and a hat—if you didn’t look closely, it would be impossible to recognize her.
Ye QiuXue didn’t say much. She walked directly over to the girl and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Let’s go."
"Hmm? You’re here—I thought I’d have to wait a while."
"You said you’d treat me to dinner. Of course I had to clear my schedule. Not everyone’s lucky enough to get that offer."
Ye QiuXue looked at the girl beside her. Seeing how normal she seemed now, she breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
As long as Xia XiaoXi didn’t start overthinking again, what did it matter if she spared a little time?
Xia XiaoXi had reserved a hot pot place, though she hadn’t invited HuMing along today. There were things she wanted to ask Ye QiuXue in person. But some things were really hard to say. What if she misunderstood everything?
It had to be said—Xia XiaoXi was now facing one of the hardest decisions of her life.
Ye QiuXue dipped a slice of beef into the pot and placed it in Xia XiaoXi’s bowl. With a soft smile, she asked,
"XiaoXi, you probably haven’t been doing much at home lately, right? Have you thought about going back to school next semester?"
"Yeah... once this semester ends, I’ll probably transfer to HuMing’s school. My brother already made arrangements for me." Xia XiaoXi dipped the beef in sauce, then popped it into her mouth.
Ye QiuXue nodded, added some tripe to the pot for herself, and continued,
"By the way, I haven’t heard much from YunXi lately. Have you two been in touch?"
"Yeah, she knows what’s been going on with my family. We had a video call recently—she comforted me. She said if it weren’t for finals, she’d fly over to see me. But I told her not to go through the trouble. I’m not that fragile."
Xia XiaoXi never wanted to bother others. She felt this was something she had to get through on her own. But with people like Ye QiuXue by her side, she had managed to recover emotionally far more quickly than expected. She was truly grateful. Some feelings just couldn’t be put into words.
She glanced at Ye QiuXue, her expression calm and unreadable.
After wrestling with her thoughts for a long time, Xia XiaoXi finally decided to say what had been weighing on her mind.
"Um... QiuXue, do you like HuMing?"
The chopsticks in Ye QiuXue’s hand paused just as they were dipping into the boiling broth.
She slowly lifted her gaze to look at Xia XiaoXi. Her expression didn’t change much, as if she wasn’t at all surprised by the question—had she already anticipated this?
Xia XiaoXi’s heart immediately leapt into her throat.
She desperately wanted to know what kind of answer Ye QiuXue would give.
"...Yeah, you’re right. I do like HuMing. You must’ve felt his charm too, right?" Ye QiuXue couldn't find the right words to describe HuMing. The things he did weren’t what you’d expect from a normal person.
And yet, she had fallen for him—deeply and irreversibly.
She couldn’t help it. When those feelings come, no excuse matters. Ye QiuXue didn’t want to live with regrets, so she had made peace with herself a long time ago.
She figured Xia XiaoXi asking that question meant she’d made up her mind about something, too. But did she really understand HuMing’s thoughts? If so, what exactly did she mean by asking her that?
Ye QiuXue didn’t think it was worth overanalyzing. She knew Xia XiaoXi wouldn’t have invited her out today unless something important was on her mind.
After hearing Ye QiuXue’s answer, Xia XiaoXi fell silent.
Of course she understood what Ye QiuXue meant. After spending so much time together, HuMing always seemed shrouded in a mysterious fog.
But everything he did made it hard not to like him.
"Ye QiuXue... I heard from HuMing. He said he knows you like him."
"I know. He stayed over at my place for a night once." Ye QiuXue said it casually, but Xia XiaoXi was so shocked that she dropped her chopsticks into the hotpot.
Had she heard wrong? Did Ye QiuXue just say HuMing slept over at her house?
Did that mean... everything that could’ve happened between them had?
Xia XiaoXi’s expression kept shifting. Ye QiuXue blinked at her in confusion before realizing what she must be thinking.
Her face flushed, and she covered her mouth with a light cough before explaining:
"It was really just one night—nothing outrageous happened."
"Seriously?" Xia XiaoXi leaned in, clearly skeptical.
Ye QiuXue couldn’t withstand her gaze. She slowly turned her face away and mumbled,
"Well... we did kiss..."
"Huh? He stayed over at your place for a whole night and all you did was kiss?"
"What else do you want to happen?! We’re still underage!" Ye QiuXue finally lost her cool and shot a glare at Xia XiaoXi, who only raised her eyebrows with a teasing grin.
But just as quickly, Xia XiaoXi’s expression shifted. She suddenly reached out and grabbed Ye QiuXue’s hand, her voice serious.
"QiuXue, tell me honestly—did HuMing ever tell you what he really thinks?"
"He... he did."
"And you still agreed to it? When I heard what he said, I nearly lost my mind—especially when he told me you agreed to it."
Xia XiaoXi’s eyes widened. She was taking in more than she could handle.
Because Ye QiuXue had just confirmed it with her own mouth.
So HuMing wasn’t lying. Ye QiuXue really did agree.
"What could I do? You know how HuMing is, don’t you? To put it bluntly, he’s like a giant human heater—he doesn’t want to let anyone go. How is he supposed to choose?"
Xia XiaoXi saw the helplessness in Ye QiuXue’s eyes, but that helplessness wasn’t bitter or angry.
She had truly accepted it.
(SHMOLL: Giant human heater, sureeee~ I am grinning so bad, my face hurts!)
