Elise paused for a moment.

"How is she doing?"

"...She’s depressed. She wants someone to end her life."

In the next instant, a sharp tentacle shot out from Elise’s mouth, heading straight for my neck. Before it could hit me, I turned my body into lightning and reappeared on the other end of the room again.

Except what I didn’t expect was for Elise to already be waiting for me. She moved so fast, and for a moment, I thought she might have a similar Gift to mine.

Yet when I spotted the white light inside her mouth again, I froze.

I felt a strange connection to that light. It was as if every single choice I made in the next couple of seconds was reflected in that light for Elise to see.

But not only that, I realized the white light pulsed frequently, matching my heartbeat.

...What even is this?

Black lightning covered the whole room, destroying the table and piercing clean through the walls. The floor, however, remained perfectly intact as the black lightning bounced off it and headed back to me.

Instead of panicking, I grabbed the black lightning from midair, and by twisting my body, I sent the black lightning back at Elise, only for her to catch the black lightning with her slender hand, solidify it, and then shatter it.

Silence descended for less than a second as I decided to hit Elise with the full brunt of my powers. I channeled Telekinesis and used it at full power, unlike what I had done previously.

Atomic Stabilization covered my whole body in segments, enhancing my durability. But not only that... I wanted to try something new.

And because of all the mental practice I did, I knew I could do it.

Atomic Destabilization.

The act of straight-up depleting the atoms of energy. There was another form of practice where I would need to weaken the atoms and slowly get rid of them.

But I didn’t have the time to do so.

So with all of my focus on the table, I poured a chunk of my energy outward, covering Elise from head to toe in my Telekinesis.

The hard part was learning how to find the atoms, but since I already knew how to, I focused directly on the atoms that were around her neck.

The atoms almost seemed tangled at a glance. But once my Telekinesis wrapped around those atoms, I didn’t hesitate to imagine them being disrupted, and within just a few seconds, a whole line of atoms was weakened.

In my eyes, it looked like those atoms were nearly gone, and when I channeled a little bit more of my Telekinesis into those atoms, they vanished completely.

All of this happened in a fraction of a second.

And when I finally snapped out of it and glanced at Elise,

Her head floated about an inch away from the rest of her neck.

Atomic Destabilization actually worked.

But...

"That’s a funny trick."

She raised her arms and grabbed her head. Then, she lowered her head and screwed it back onto the rest of her neck.

The atoms I had destroyed were back too, and they were even stronger than before, causing me to take a few steps back, ready to run away.

But before I could, Elise’s face suddenly contorted and began reverting to normal. In just a few seconds, she flashed a warm smile at me.

"I apologize for losing control~"

"Sit down, yeah? The food’s..."

She glanced around the ruined room.

"The food was good. I’m sorry. It looks like I won’t be able to treat you today~"

"..."

Was this some split personality bullshit?

Or maybe she’s just usually crazy?

Either way, I decided to cut straight to the chase.

"I’m planning to visit your sister soon. Do you want to accompany me?"

After all, I’d love to get on her good side.

She approached me and placed her hands on my shoulders.

I’d likely need to be Grandmaster- or even Saint-ranked to use it.
