Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 200: Picture Shelf [ 1 ]
After God knows how long, I finally opened my eyes. To my surprise, Clementine was still asleep on top of me.
For once, I actually woke up before her.
But there was a reason I woke up before her...
Even though the whole room was soundproof and the door was tightly locked, I could still hear some subtle knocking. Her parents were clearly outside, and if we made them wait any longer, they’d think we’re really doing something naughty.
Though... as I glanced down at the sleeping Clementine who had her bare breasts pressed into my chest and my manhood in between her legs, I felt like this was already as naughty as it gets.
Anyhow, I pinched her cheek. A few seconds later, she opened her eyes and glared at me slightly for waking her up in that kind of way.
She sat up, resting herself atop my abdomen and against my manhood. She stretched a little, and only then did she realize how embarrassing what she was doing actually was.
"I... Uh..."
"As much as I’d like to have you in this position for a little longer, your parents are outside the door."
A panicked expression appeared on her face. After taking a second to see for herself, her face paled.
"T-They look angry."
"They’ll be even angrier if they see you on top of me swinging your breasts around."
She flinched and quickly flew off of me. After landing on the bed, she got dressed in whatever clothes she could find. In the end, she stomped toward me and stood over me with a flustered look.
"Aren’t you going to get out?"
I let out a chuckle and did just that. Even though I was naked in front of her, seeing me so many times and literally sleeping on top of me seemed to not make her as flustered anymore.
And after just a few more minutes, both Clementine and I were ready, so I removed the barriers before finally unlocking the door and opening it.
"Ah! Finally. You two are so difficult to get a hold of," her mother said with a pout.
"Sorry, Mom..."
"It’s fine. The food’s going to get cold, though. You two should head to the dining room and eat it quick. Can’t leave on an empty stomach, can you?"
Clementine and I just smiled at her.
We thought it was over.
However, Clementine’s father just had to speak up.
"The maids saw a pair of feet stuck in the ceiling earlier. Although I didn’t think the hag would die peacefully, I never expected her to leave behind a resentful ghost. I already called the priests, so they’ll perform an exorcism on this house in an hour or so. You two should wait as well."
"Whose mother do you think you’re calling a hag, mister?"
Ah.
"Ah..."
Well, that’s a little awkward, isn’t it?
I was like 99% sure those feet belonged to Clementine.
But at least it was only her feet that the maids saw.
Jeez...
We need to be a bit more careful.
"I-It’s fine, Dad. We’re strong enough to beat any ghosts. Also, we already ate, so we’ll leave right away, okay?"
Sandra tilted her head.
"Are you sure, sweetie? The food’s delicious."
Clementine shook her head, then grabbed my hand.
"We need to leave, since we’re really busy. I’ll come by to visit again soon. Don’t push yourself, or you’ll hurt the baby."
It looked like Sandra wanted to bonk Clementine over the head. After all, Sandra was her mother. Of course she knew what she was doing.
I held back a laugh and watched as the mother and daughter duo bickered for a bit. Once they were done, Clementine took out the pictures she had stored and handed them over to her mother.
"Come, sweetie, I’ll show you where I’ll hang them."
Clementine clenched my hand. I bet she wanted me to bail her out of this, but honestly?
"Lead the way," I said.
Sandra let out a chuckle, and Clementine groaned. Even so, all four of us went downstairs. There was a small room beside the entrance, and the moment we entered it, we were met with a giant library.
But unlike most libraries which had books on the shelves, each shelf had a picture framed on it. There were dates above the pictures, as well as a theme.
Stuff like summer, winter, spring, autumn... Sad, happy, and all sorts of other themes.
Yet the shelf we approached had a different label.
[My Lovely Daughter’s Family]
Less like a shelf, there was a whole section dedicated to Sandra.
It was obvious she loved her dearly, and from the faint tears welling up in Sandra’s eyes, I knew she loved her mother too.
And when Sandra began placing the pictures, Clementine also seemed to realize just how much this meant to her mother. Heck, she was squeezing my hand so hard, I felt like my bones were about to break.
Sandra soon finished setting up the pictures, and when she took a step back, a warm smile appeared on her face.
"There’ll be five people in the picture next year, huh?"
She suddenly glanced over at me.
"Or maybe six?"
A bead of sweat poured down my forehead as I abruptly shook my head.
It was way too soon.
"Hehe. Well, I won’t hold you two up any longer. When you come back, don’t mind your room smelling like holy water either."
"Okay, Mom."
Clementine gave her mother and father a hug. As for me, I also hugged her mother, and as for her father, we just exchanged a handshake as well as a nod.
Her parents accompanied us all the way to the front door, and with a wave, they said goodbye to us.
Finally, Clementine and I took our leave.
The city was pretty large, but I cautiously looked around, making sure there weren’t any sirens that would suddenly turn into demon portals.
Thankfully, there weren’t any, so we were safe to leave.
There were clear exit points all around. We followed one of those points, and after traversing through a very long tunnel, we surprisingly found ourselves at the very bottom of a lake.
The lake was nowhere near an ocean. Furthermore, since it was inside a forest, no one would suspect it.
When we floated up and stepped on land, I realized that the tunnel wasn’t visible. If anything, it just looked like there was a massive boulder at the bottom.
I exhaled a relieved breath and glanced over at Clementine, who tied her hair in a ponytail and nodded at me.
"Are we heading straight to Aldraazan?"
Of course we are.
