"Captain Noah, how was the city when I was away?" Scarlett changed the topic to protect Veylina.

"Everything was under control, City Mistress. No incidents occurred," Captain Noah replied.

"Inform General Viviana to come to my office tomorrow morning." Scarlett wanted a detailed report on the city guards’ activities and the progress of the city’s reconstruction in detail.

It may have sounded like a small compliment, but it meant a lot to her, especially when she remembered that he was her husband.

"Since you will be living with us from today onward, I will take you around the city tomorrow so you can get used to your new surroundings." It was already late in the afternoon, so he could not show her around right away.
