Transmigrated: The Lycan King's Pet-Chapter 121 Denial
Chapter 121: Chapter 121 Denial
My eyes widened, ’What the hell is wrong with him? Lately, he has been behaving weirdly. First he was jealous, then he got touchy, then cold, and now all of a sudden he wants to... is he stressed or what?’
"Master..." I shakily placed my hands on his chest. ’Damn, wow... They are strong and well-toned. It feels so good... okay, get your head together.’
I swallowed. "Why do you want to continue from where we stopped the last time... I thought you didn’t like to touch women.."
I yelped, as he suddenly flipped me onto the bed, his arms trapping me under his weight. "Master." I squeak.
"I don’t touch women, but I did help someone get released when she was so desperate that I even thought she might die... Do you really want to bring that up now?" his eyes narrowed at me.
My cheeks turned red like a tomato. "I don’t know what you are talking about?" I turned my face away.
He scoffed. My body tensed when I felt his hot breath on the side of my neck. "Liar," he muttered against the crook of my neck.
My body shuddered, my breath hitched. My fingers dug into the bed sheet.
"Are... Are you in my head?" I stuttered.
Damon clicked his tongue. "It seems like I have been too soft on you." A low growl rumbled from his chest.
I should be scared of hearing his growl, right? But why is heat pooling at the lower part of my abdomen?
"It is how you are supposed to be to your pet." I blinked my lashes, my heart pounding inside my chest.
His closeness made my heart skip a beat.
"You haven’t answered my question." his warmth caressed my skin again, sending waves of sensation down my spine.
I turned to face him, and he moved his head away from my neck, meeting my gaze.
"Are you asking me as a breeder or as someone you have something for?" My eyes gaze at him with emotions I couldn’t explain.
A glint flickered through his eyes before he clicked his tongue. "You shouldn’t expect anything from me Ember... it looks like I have really spoiled you so much that now you..."
"I don’t know where I belong." I finished his sentence with a smile that didn’t reach my eyes.
His eyes hardened as if he were mad at what I had said. But why should he be mad? It is not like he had any feelings for me. I was the one who didn’t know her place, thinking I could make him love me... I have loved someone I knew I shouldn’t love... I shouldn’t expect anything from him.
"Since you have bought me as your breeder, I know you won’t set me free. Why don’t you have what you bought me for? After all, you are my master... You shouldn’t ask for my permission."
My expression held a quiet ache, like I was still waiting for something that had already slipped through my fingers.
He looked taken aback by my words, but he quickly masked it with a blank face. "You are right... I should do to you whatever I deem fit. You are mine."
I smiled at him, even if I was failing miserably. "Do you want me to strip? You don’t have to do the trivial work."
His eyes lingered on for a second too long. "There is no need for that."
His hand reached for my face, his thumb wiping off the trail of tears I didn’t know was streaming down my cheeks.
’How embarrassing?’
Suddenly, Damon pulled me into his chest, his arms wrapping around me with just enough pressure to steal my breath. I froze, unsure of what this was supposed to mean.
My fingers hovered over his shirt, then slowly clutched the fabric. I didn’t mean to hold on, but something in me refused to let go. My chest felt tight, as if I was waiting for a reason to breathe again.
I closed my eyes, trying not to think. Why was he doing this? Why hold me like this, when I meant nothing more than a breeder to him?
I buried my face into his chest. His heartbeat thudded softly beneath my ear. It was so calm like none of this mattered to him.
But mine... mine was a complete mess.
I wanted to ask him what this meant. I wanted to know if it was pity or something else. But the words stayed in my throat.
I didn’t want to hear another cold reply.
A part of me hoped this meant something. A part of me wished he would just say it. But deep down, I knew he wouldn’t.
I stayed still, my breathing shallow, listening to the suffocating silence in the room. I thought maybe he would kiss me and take me right there. But like a man holding onto something he didn’t understand, and wasn’t ready to let go of.
"Master..." My cracked voice broke the silence.
"What?"
"Are you not going to take me?"
"I’m no longer in the mood." He replied curtly. "Sleep."
’Sleep? But I was far from it.’
A lot had been happening lately, the strange lullaby and the blue light. It doesn’t make any sense. And why does the mark on my shoulder hurt every time it comes?
And my heart has been acting strangely lately, I didn’t know when or where I fell for Damon. Even the thought of me having feelings for him feels weird.
I sighed. Then my mind wandered to the meeting he might have had with the elders.
"How was the meeting... master? Is it related to the Blood Moon pack?"
Damon clicked his tongue in annoyance. "And what if it is?"
"Then, I believe the elders would have advised you to get a mate now. After all, you need to get as many allies as you can before the war... while securing your bloodline." I said with a tug in my heart.
"And so?"
"Have you decided on whom you are going to take as your Luna?" My heart skittered in my chest in anticipation.
