Transmigrating from a zombie world to become the mecha kings wife-Chapter 726: And they lived forever.
Chapter 726: And they lived forever.
Carolyn turned around and Markay dressed her in a new white cloak that bore the mark of the Wu house. A crown was placed on her head and the crowd started to cheer fervently.
The judge closed the noble book of marriage and announced to them all. "I give you your new crown prince and princess, Markay and Carolyn Wu."
The bride and groom went down to greet their guests and kickstart the celebration.
The kickstart turned out to be tears as Mega hugged her daughter and she cried openly. There was nothing unusual about a mother crying at a wedding. It was to be expected because Carolyn would truly be leaving the Su house now.
Carolyn had been putting on a brave front but it started to crack when her mother cried. Little beads of tears formed in her eyes and Scarlet helped her wipe them away.
Dorian didn’t want them to notice that he was also emotional so he turned his face away and averted his red eyes from their gaze.
For a while, the Su’s hurdled together and comforted each other before Markay pulled Carolyn away to greet some of the royal guests from other planets and Scarlet got the chance to sit down.
The moment Justin noticed that she was sitting, he run away from Etienne and came over to her.
"Mommy, i am here." he announced his presence.
He sat down on the chair next to her and put his head in her lap. She passed her hand through his hair gently and smiled.
"Are you sleepy baby?"
He nodded. "Uncle Adler made us sleep late and woke us up early."
He yawned and closed his eyes as if he was going to sleep but she knew that he would not be sleeping anytime soon. With all the excitement going on, he would not be able to.
Scarlet yawned as well because she was just as exhausted as he was. She had no plans of participating in most of the festivities. She was happy to sit and eat while nodding her head as she listened to the music.
Justin lifted his head and he asked, "Mommy, where are my sisters?"
"At home." she told him.
He pouted and put his head back down. In his small world, they were the guests that mattered. If they were not here then he might as well sleep.
He raised his head again and asked, "Can i go home?"
She laughed and shook her head. A part of her had been expecting that question. If Justin had the ability, he would have turned himself into a baby and joined his sisters. She was about to say no and crush his dream of going home to be with his sisters when one of his new friends from school saved her the trouble.
The boy, Dechompo, the son of the governor of the yellow star came over, greeted Scarlet and pulled Justin away from her with a little force and so much excitement. "Justin, Justin, you have got to see this, there is a gigantic white horse outside."
Justin waved goodbye and once again, Scarlet was left alone at the table to observe the wedding and the guests.
She wasn’t alone for long, only ten seconds and the goddess of marriage showed up.
Without looking up, Scarlet asked her, "Do you need a favor or you want a friend?"
The goddess smiled and shrugged. "It’s a royal wedding so i came to give my blessing. It’s important to bless unions of those who will rule over others. A bad or good day in a marriage for an emperor and empress can be the difference between life and death for one human or many in some cases. You are immortal now, you will see what i am talking about."
Scarlet turned her head to the goddess and said nothing. She looked at her with curiosity, hoping to hear more because she seemed to have many stories to tell. The goddess however didn’t elaborate and she vanished away. She wasn’t very interested in Scarlet like some of the other gods. She was here for a duty and it was done so she left.
The party continued on, and the fun multiplied with performances from various singers and dancers, an open bar, fireworks, and speeches commenced just before a very sumptuous banquet. All around the empire, the people feasted.
Scarlet had no idea who had allowed a semi intoxicated captain Jacks to give a speech but she tuned out as soon as she heard him say, "When the crown prince Markay told us he was dating an older woman, i was like awesome because i thought he would be bringing a two hundred year old and i couldn’t wait to roast him."
She knew that he would have the crowd in stitches but the intelligence in his speech would be zero.
Pretty soon, the bride and groom as per new tradition introduced by Scarlet had their first dance and Esong finally got the opportunity to find her and sit with her.
"You have been on your feet through the whole thing, tired?" he asked.
Even though he had been circulating around the room, doing his royal duties assigned by the emperor and keeping the less desirable guests away from Markay as his buffer, he had been watching her. He had seen her yawn a few times as she greeted the guests who went to her.
She nodded and said, "I am as glad as Fey that it’s all over finally and we can return to our normal lives, as normal as they can be anyway."
He put a hand around her waist and pulled her body close, encouraging her to rest her head on his broad shoulders. "Come on, we have some other place to be." he told her.
They left the human world and he took her to the dead world where the games would take place. It had officially been named the God’s playground. It was crowded and creatures of all kinds were arriving or had arrived. Gods had gathered in their high seats as if a meeting had been called. There was so much energy and excitement in the air.
Scarlet was confused, as the games were not scheduled to start yet. So what had brought everyone out?
"What is going on?" she asked him.
He turned her around entirely and put his hands on her waist. "A life angel run away with a grim reaper, the schedule has been moved up." he told her.
"Oh." she gasped.
"Are you ready?" he asked her.
She tilted her head to the right and looked at the excited crowd in the stadium, she looked up and noticed the impatient gods who couldn’t wait to see blood drawn and new heroes rise. She looked at him and saw the trust and love in his eyes. It was like the extra boost of strength she needed to begin what she started.
She could sense Severus and the hounds coming with the children including Justin whose memory of all things supernatural would be wiped later if his parents remembered. Scarlet had got special permission from the council of deities to bring him over ocassionally.
Everything had somehow fallen into place for them after their struggles.
"It all seems a little too perfect." she mumbled.
"Not yet." he whispered.
He lifted them up and flew her to her position where she could be seen by all as the head of the council for the inter-realm games.
"There is one more thing we must do." he said. He laughed, put her down on her feet and dipped her backwards. "We must trend on the forums for the greatest and most romantic kiss in the history of all the realms. The games must be opened with a bang."
She moved her head and looked at the deities. Some were already looking their way, interested in what they were up to.
She looked back at him and smiled mischievously. She had never been one to shy away from causing a little scandal or gossip.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and said, "I love you too by the way, always have and always will. As for the greatest kiss in all the realms, let’s give them a show to remember."
The end.
