Transmigration; A Mother's Redemption and a perfect Wife.-Chapter 126; Where are we?
Chapter 126: Chapter 126; Where are we?
"Yeah!" She was so lost that she didn’t know what to do or where to start. She thought of going abroad to get herself treated but that wasn’t possible when she had to prepare some legal papers which would have to pass through Sixth Master Huo as her husband.
She was starting a new life as Tang Fei, how could she again start using her Assassin Ice documentation? The moment she touched her account, this was the same as exposing herself and her baby girl which she didn’t want to.
She would have to maintain her new identity without flaws.
"For how long have I been out here?" She got off the bed and tried to feel her body; she was slightly weak and feeling hungry; her left leg was tied up and wrapped with a piece of cloth with tiny tree branches wrapped around to support it.
The dull ache shooting from that injured leg made her frown, lose her balance, and stagger.
She almost stumbled backward, but hastily, Twilight got hold of her body, supporting her, "Your leg hasn’t healed yet. You have been bitten by a shark, but luckily, it didn’t affect the bones!" With great difficulty, her leg was recovering using indigenous herbs she had gathered from as they were stuck there on the unknown island.
Tang Fei sat back down on the bed, heavily groaning; if her leg was like this, did this mean she was now crippled? How was she going to face Sixth Master Huo? Did his love truly go deeper than the physical level? How could he accept a crippled woman as his wife?
For the first time, she was frightened; for the first time, she was feeling helpless, and the confidence she always had had vanished! This was something she never experienced in her previous life. Was this the true feeling of falling in love?
Her eyes nonstop teared up, feeling sour; she felt like running away and hiding forever where no one would be able to find her.
Seeing her mother’s bowed head, she felt heartbroken, her mother has always been a proud person! She has always been a very smart and tactical person; if it weren’t for the fact that she didn’t want to expose herself in front of that man, she would have tackled this perpetrator who had used her as a hostage. This wouldn’t have been the outcome.
"Momma... I have never seen you belittle yourself like this! If it’s the leg injury, you would soon recover since you are still young and for the scars, you can always have plastic surgery even though they would fade away with time... Momma, you have always been the high and proud Assassin Ice... And you will always be." She tightly hugged her in her arms feeling heartbroken. Twilight has always wished that her momma could live a normal life, but why did this normal life become so challenging?
"I don’t know, I just—
"Doesn’t your husband love you? It doesn’t matter if it’s Assassin Tang Fei or the Tang Fei right now, he loves this woman that I’m hugging, and don’t you think it’s now you should know to what extent he loves you? All I know is a man who loves you wouldn’t let you degrade yourself. Don’t forget, you have always wanted to have kids; now, you have such beautiful kids, you have a perfect life now, don’t despair, they haven’t done anything to hurt you... Don’t run and hide away; the Tang Fei I know is the one that faces her problems head-on... The one that forges ahead with dignity!" She kissed her forehead comforting her.
Her Momma was going through a rough emotional patch and she needed her.
"Twi...." Tang Fei cried her heart out. The only person who understood her was Twilight, not even Huo Yang, who she had loved dearly and thought he knew her that well.
Yes, she yearned for this free life, a life that wasn’t restricted by some bugs in the brain controlling her and all the time locating her. She yearned to live a safe life.
"Momma... You don’t have to feel sad, I will always accompany you!" Twilight tightly hugged her in his arms feeling heartache. Her momma had never experienced such a setback with the way she was already embracing her new life.
She cried her eyes out and finally calmed down; this was the first time she was having a meltdown since her Transmigration occurred.
"Where are we?" She let her eyes roam around the place and apart from the trees and shrubs she was seeing through the door, there was nothing else. The house looked so old and worn out.
"We are on an island of which I don’t know which way to get out of here! We are surrounded by the waters, this was the closest shore I was able to drag you over as I couldn’t swim with you for so long. Let’s take a look outside." She held her arm and walking with one leg, they got out into the middle of nowhere, apart from trees and shrubs, nothing else, nothing was visible! This was a totally wild place.
She lifted her hand and gently caressed her eyes before turning around to gaze at her baby girl, who also had a huge scar on her face and probably got injured while trying to rescue her.
She unknowingly ended up hurting her baby girl because of fear, "I’m sorry Twilight!" She felt heartbroken, and now more than ever, she had to do something; she had to take her over to the hospital to let her undertake plastic surgery and get her face fixed; with a new face, she would be able to live a new life with a new identity.
Since she had adopted her, the Assassin creed manager had accepted some trade-ins so that they couldn’t put some chips into her head until she was eighteen. She thought that by the time Twilight was eighteen, she would have settled and be able to cater to Twilight and give her a different identity.
