Chapter 405: Chapter 405; Shuyin 1

"I’m not that drunk," she interrupted, her hand moving to his chest, fingers curling into his shirt. "I know what I want."

"Shuyin...."

"Listen to me..."

"No....no.... No..."

"Shuyin, listen," Lu Yuze began, trying to maintain some semblance of control over the rapidly deteriorating situation, but she cut him off before he could finish the thought.

"No... No..."

"No! I’m not listening!" Her voice had turned raspy with need, her body wiggling on his lap in ways that were making rational thought increasingly difficult. "Give it to me. I want it now. Now."

Lu Yuze cursed himself silently. If only he had snatched that bottle of liquor away before she’d consumed so much. The alcohol had completely stripped away her usual restraint, leaving her operating on pure instinct and desire without the careful control she normally maintained.

"Give it to me...."

"No I can’t..."

"Do it now..."

"No... We can’t .."

"Here," she demanded, her hands already reaching for him with determined purpose.

"We can’t do that here," he tried to reason with her, gesturing toward the front of the car where Ting Fei sat focused on driving. "There’s Ting Fei right there and we are driving home. This isn’t appropriate....."

But Shuyin was beyond caring about propriety or appropriate behavior. Her hands gripped his shirt and tore it open with surprising strength, exposing his vested chest beneath. His overcoat had already been unbuttoned during their earlier passionate encounter, making her access easier.

Lu Yuze made a decision. "Ting Fei, you can park the car," he ordered, his voice carrying the command authority that his assistant would recognize and obey without question.

"No! We can’t do that," Lu Yuze immediately contradicted himself, catching Shuyin’s wrists gently but firmly as she continued her determined assault on his remaining clothing. She was insistent on having what she wanted tonight, and while Lu Yuze had been wanting this for so long, he’d imagined it happening in a special way, in a place that honored the significance of the moment.

Having her first time in the back of a car, parked on some random street, wasn’t being considerate enough. She deserved better than that, even if she was too drunk to care about the setting.

"I said I want it. I want it," Shuyin repeated, her voice dropping lower, taking on a quality that made Lu Yuze’s entire body tense with sudden awareness. Then she began emitting her charming mermaid scent, that distinctive jasmine fragrance that carried with it supernatural enchantment, the ability to influence and compel those who breathed it in.

The scent filled the car’s interior immediately, sweet and intoxicating and impossibly alluring. In the front seat, Ting Fei’s hands tightened on the steering wheel as the enchantment began affecting him despite his professional training and mental discipline. His driving became slightly less steady as the mermaid magic worked its way into his consciousness.

Lu Yuze felt the scent wash over him and recognized immediately how serious the situation had become. Shuyin’s mermaid nature was responding to her intoxicated state and overwhelming desire, manifesting powers she normally kept carefully controlled. If she continued releasing that enchantment, every man within range would be affected, potentially causing dangerous situations on the road or attracting unwanted attention.

"All right, all right," Lu Yuze conceded, knowing he needed to get this situation contained quickly. He tried carefully to nudge her back, to create enough space to think clearly, but she refused to budge from her position straddling his lap. "Just wait until we get back to the mansion. We can..."

"I want it now," Shuyin interrupted, her voice hoarse and raspy and carrying that supernatural quality that made refusal nearly impossible. "Aren’t you legally my husband? I can sue you for denying me conjugal rights!"

The legal argument would have been absurd under normal circumstances, but delivered while she was releasing mermaid enchantment and sitting on his lap in a state of obvious arousal, it carried a strange kind of logic that his alcohol-and-desire-compromised brain couldn’t quite refute.

In the front seat, Ting Fei slowed the car noticeably, the enchantment clearly working on him despite his best efforts to maintain professional detachment. His breathing had changed, becoming more shallow, and his usual perfect driving had developed a slight weave as concentration became difficult.

Lu Yuze made a rapid decision. The mansion was too far, and bringing Shuyin there in this state, releasing mermaid enchantment that would affect every male staff member and potentially even Yu Shou, would create chaos they couldn’t afford. The guest wing was filled with rescued children, many of them male teenagers who would be vulnerable to the supernatural influence. It was absolutely not an option.

But his city penthouse was closer, only about fifteen minutes from their current location. A private space with no staff present, no children to protect, just empty luxury where they could deal with this situation without risking anyone else’s wellbeing.

"Ting Fei, drive to my city penthouse," Lu Yuze instructed, his voice cutting through the jasmine-scented haze filling the car. "Take the fastest route. And try to focus on the road despite the....." he paused, knowing his assistant understood what he meant, "....despite the distraction."

"Okay, Master," Ting Fei responded, his voice slightly strained but professional. He adjusted their route immediately, turning at the next intersection toward the upscale district where Lu Yuze maintained a penthouse apartment for business purposes and private retreats.

The fifteen-minute drive felt both too long and too short simultaneously. Shuyin remained insistent, her hands continuing their exploration despite Lu Yuze’s attempts to maintain some minimal level of restraint until they reached privacy. The mermaid enchantment continued filling the car, making Ting Fei’s driving increasingly erratic as he fought against supernatural compulsion while trying to navigate city traffic.

Lu Yuze held Shuyin as carefully as he could, redirecting her hands when they became too bold, murmuring reassurances that they would have what she wanted very soon, just a few more minutes, just hold on a little longer. But her patience was exhausted, her control completely gone, and the combination of alcohol and mermaid nature had created something neither of them had fully anticipated.

When the car finally pulled up to the penthouse building’s private entrance, Lu Yuze had never been more grateful to see a destination in his life.

The car came to a stop in the private underground garage of the penthouse building, the space reserved exclusively for Lu Yuze’s use and therefore completely empty at this late hour. Ting Fei turned off the engine with visible relief, his hands shaking slightly as they released the steering wheel. The mermaid enchantment had affected him more than he’d let on during the drive, and the sudden absence of the need to concentrate on traffic allowed him to slump slightly in his seat, breathing hard.

"Take the night off," Lu Yuze ordered, already maneuvering to get himself and Shuyin out of the vehicle. "Go home. Don’t come back until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. And Ting Fei....." he paused, meeting his assistant’s eyes in the rearview mirror, "—what happens tonight stays completely confidential. Understood?"

"Completely understood, Master," Ting Fei managed to respond, though his voice carried the strain of someone fighting against supernatural influence. "I’ll take a cab home. The car will be here when you need it."

Lu Yuze nodded and opened the car door, supporting Shuyin’s weight as they exited the vehicle. She was still releasing that jasmine enchantment, though perhaps slightly less intensely now that they’d stopped moving, the scent clinging to both of them like perfume that had soaked into their clothes and skin.

Getting her across the garage and into the private elevator required careful maneuvering. Shuyin’s coordination remained compromised by the alcohol, making her steps uncertain, but her determination hadn’t wavered at all. Her hands kept reaching for him, pulling at his already-torn shirt, seeking contact and closeness with single-minded focus that would have been amusing under different circumstances.

"Almost there," Lu Yuze murmured, guiding her into the elevator and pressing the button for the penthouse floor. "Just a few more minutes."

The elevator doors closed, sealing them into the small space. Immediately, Shuyin pressed herself against him, her arms wrapping around his neck, her body molding to his with clear intent. The jasmine scent intensified in the confined space, making Lu Yuze’s head spin despite his resistance to the enchantment’s effects.
