Transmigration To Magus World-Chapter 109: Not What I Desire
The room was fragrant with the warm aroma of flowers. Steam rose steadily from the large wooden tub. ๐ฏ๐ง๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฃ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐ต.๐๐ค๐ข
In each corner of the room, toad-mouthed incense burners emitted wisps of smoke, filling the air with a scent akin to orchids and musk.
Aizen, under the care of two charming maidens, was already entirely unclothed.
At this moment, he was unarmed, his body completely exposed, seemingly at his most vulnerable. Yet, the Cold Moon Saber rested on the edge of the tub, and his body was still filled with immense internal energy.
For a Sorcery artist, the moment of least threat is not when they are unarmed but when their mind is completely unguarded.
For most men, faced with such an arrangement, they would let down their final defenses, abandon their last shred of caution, and indulge in physical pleasures.
The three maidensโ faces were flushed, their lips like cherries, as they shyly but seductively removed their garments layer by layer:
Their outer robes, belly bands, trousers, under-skirts, long stockings, embroidered shoes...
What was revealed before Aizen were three youthful, tender, and beautiful bodies:
Slender, willow-like figures,
Waists supple and graceful like water snakes,
Flat stomachs and firm, elastic thighs,
Long, jade-like necks, and skin smoother than silk and brighter than snow.
Everything about them exuded the allure of forbidden fruit.
Aizen smiled faintly as his palm brushed across the satin-like skin of the three women. He then leaped lightly and landed in the tub.
His movement seemed weightless, as he slipped into the tub without causing even the slightest splash of water.
Such mastery of body technique indicated his incredible Sorcery prowess.
In fact, Aizenโs use of the technique "Sparrow Soars" had reached an impressive level of proficiency, nearing the second stage of mastery.
His current proficiency was at 96%, and with a bit more practice, he would fully achieve the second stage of skill, making its use as natural as breathing.
When a Sorcery art reaches the second stage of mastery, it moves beyond complex forms into an integration of personal experience, allowing for flexible use and breakdown of every technique at will.
The power one could unleash through such Sorcery skill would naturally increase substantially.
At this stage, the Sorcery artist has fully grasped the nuances of force application and learned how to maximize the effectiveness of every move.
When one reaches the third stage of mastery, they truly understand the essence of the Sorcery art. At that point, techniques become secondary to the underlying truths embedded within the Sorcery practice.
For a Sorcery artist, physical training is critical, but it is no longer the ultimate focus of cultivation. The core of progress shifts toward the primordial spirit .
The union of form and spiritโthe body is the form, the primordial spirit is the essence. This transcends the physical vessel and taps into an infinite source of strength and potential.
Even the Buddha abandoned his mortal form to achieve ultimate enlightenment. Those who seek transcendence and aim to break human limits must focus solely on the primordial spirit.
No doctrine speaks of the immortality of the body, only the immortality of the spirit.
The spirit is the true source of a personโs greatest potential.
Aizen lay comfortably in the hot water, his mind deep in thought. He was organizing the Sorcery knowledge and insights he had accumulated in recent times.
One of the maidens scooped warm water with a wooden ladle and gently poured it over his body. Her movements were soft and filled with admiration and desire.
But Aizen paid no heed. He didnโt even look at her, keeping his eyes closed. Yet, through his sharp sensory perception, he could detect the presence and movements of all three maidens.
This was not Heavenly Vision but a heightened sense of awareness developed through the strengthening of his spirit.
Such perception often surpassed the reliability of eyesight, as the speed of thought far exceeded that of visual processing.
For those with great strength, the ability to predict fortune and misfortune stems from this powerful sixth sense, enabling them to avoid calamity and seek safety.
Aizen had not yet reached such a level. His ability to sense the surrounding energy was not truly a sixth sense but rather a technique for observing energy flows that had slowly emerged after his recent increase in mental strength.
Currently, this technique was still rudimentary. It was adequate for sensing the movements and presence of these three ordinary maidens, but relying on it to replace his eyes in a fight against skilled opponents would be a grave mistake, one that could easily lead to his demise.
One of the maidens finally entered the tub, her body completely bare, as she began to wash Aizen with her delicate hands, occasionally brushing against him with soft, supple parts of her body.
Another maiden placed her hands on Aizenโs head, massaging it to relieve his fatigue.
Aizen allowed them to continue.
If his sensory abilities had not advanced to the point where he could discern even the smallest details, he would never have allowed anyone to come so close.
But now, he could.
His heightened senses detected the peaceful nature of the three maidensโ auras, devoid of hostility or killing intent.
If any malicious thought arose, he would be able to detect it instantly and react accordingly.
While this sensory ability did not yet allow him to foresee danger or fortune, it was brushing against the threshold of a true sixth sense.
This level of insight was something only those with profound spiritual strength could comprehend. Even a Sorcery artist at the peak of the magus body refining stage
would be unable to achieve this without advancing further.
This ability was almost exclusively the domain of Innate Magus Stage experts who had naturally developed it through self-mastery.
The indulgent bath continued for about half an hour. The three maidens flirted and teased, their gestures provocative. Aizen enjoyed the moment but did not allow himself to become lost in it. If they went too far, he would stop them coldly.
"Fish, I desire; bearโs paw, too, I desire; but if I cannot have both, I shall forgo the bearโs paw to take the fish."
For Aizen, beauty and indulgence were merely temporary comforts, a way to relieve fatigue and lighten his mood. They were not things he would pursue at the expense of his greater goals.
He was not someone controlled by lust. While he appreciated beauty, he would never let it compromise his pursuit of Sorcery mastery.
Any indulgence that led to degradation would distract him, weakening his vigilance and eroding his unwavering faith in his Sorcery path. That would be a road to self-destructionโsomething he would never allow.
"A gentleman loves wealth, but he acquires it by ethical means."
Aizen was no gentleman, but his appreciation for beauty followed a similar principle.
This principle was a boundary, a form of self-discipline and a warning to himself.
By staying within these boundaries, he would not fall into decadence, would not gain additional weaknesses, and would not leave himself vulnerable to exploitation by others.
Such a person was formidableโtoo rational, too cautious. Always vigilant, always distrustful, he trusted no one easily and prioritized his own interests above all.
After dressing and tying his hair, Aizen picked up the Cold Moon Saber and walked out of Vera Pavilion.
The autumn breeze carried the fragrance of orchids and the coolness of the lake, refreshing and invigorating.
Outside the pavilion, a sedan chair carried by four robust bearers awaited.
Aizen stepped onto the back of a servant who knelt with his body bent low, using him as a step to climb into the chair.
The bearers shouted in unison, their movements steady and brisk as they carried the chair towards the hall where the banquet was to be held.
