Transmigration To Magus World-Chapter 96: Tempering the Body and Opening Acupoints
Steam rose as heat filled the air, enveloping the space in a misty haze.
The pool, full of Essence of Primordial Flame, flowed like molten lava.
Its mysterious origin was unclear, but Aizen speculated it might be related to the glowing firefly-like lights seen earlier.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense for the Treisenberg City Treasure Vault to only open on the eighth day of the ninth lunar month each year. It seemed that only on this day did large amounts of those lights appear, eventually merging into the underground pool to create the Essence of Primordial Flame in specific conditions.
However, the effectiveness of this unique resource had waned over the years. Otherwise, the treasure vault wouldn’t have declined from a highly contested prize to merely a resource for the three major factions to cultivate their younger generations.
Aizen submerged himself fully in the Essence of Primordial Flame, even dipping his head under the surface.
Only by doing this could every pore of his body absorb the energy contained within the essence. This energy, once absorbed and refined, could accelerate the process of tempering bones and blood, and even aid in unlocking acupoints and meridians.
Aizen had only recently achieved full mastery of bone tempering, and his foundation was not yet fully stabilized.
Now, soaking in the Essence of Primordial Flame, he absorbed and refined its energy, feeling warmth suffuse his entire body. A powerful aura surged within him, even beginning to refine a portion of his heterogenous internal energy in the process.
"This Essence of Primordial Flame is truly remarkable. It may be useless for those who have already reached the Innate Magus Stage, but for someone like me, it’s an invaluable resource."
Fully focused, Aizen continued absorbing and refining the energy, while others around him experienced similar benefits, unwilling to be distracted by anything external.
He felt a faint itching in his bones, like an electric current coursing through his body.
Calming his mind, he allowed his body to tremble underwater like an eagle shaking its feathers.
With each tremor, his spine quivered like a serpent, and his bones emitted crackling sounds akin to firecrackers.
These coordinated movements stimulated his bones, enabling him to absorb more energy from the Essence of Primordial Flame to promote blood regeneration, advancing the process of refining his blood.
Crack! Crack!
Every bone in his body generated static-like friction. Though the changes were internal, the outside world only heard crisp sounds, accompanied by the occasional bubble breaking the water’s surface.
Aizen felt his blood circulation accelerate, each strand of blood being refined. As it merged with his internal energy, his blood grew purer, and his heart became stronger.
The heart, being the source of human strength, would increase a person’s overall power and potential as it grew stronger.
The blood-refining process was gradual, with impurities being expelled through his pores in strands of blood-tainted residue. Meanwhile, newly generated blood coursed through his veins, fortifying his heart and lungs.
Unwilling to settle for this alone, Aizen began circulating his abundant internal energy to nurture his acupoints, seizing the opportune moment to unlock them with the help of the Essence of Primordial Flame’s extraordinary effects.
Time flowed by as Aizen’s internal energy transformed into aura, surging throughout his body. It felt like a large rat scurrying under his skin.
One could see bulges moving rhythmically across his body, eventually traveling down to his feet and disappearing into the Trigger Acupoint.
The Trigger Acupoint is located on the dorsum of the foot, in the depression before the first and second metatarsals. It is a key point on the Trigger Foot.
Aizen intended to first nurture and open the Trigger Acupoint. Unlocking it would enhance the strength and agility of his feet.
More importantly, as the source point of the liver meridian, opening this acupoint would allow internal energy to circulate and accumulate there, gradually strengthening his liver over time.
The human body contains 12 primary meridians on each side, totaling 24, along with the Spiritual Meridians. These serve as the channels for energy flow.
Acupoints are energy nodes located along these channels. Unlocking each acupoint facilitates the unblocking of the corresponding meridian.
During his cultivation,Aizen utilized the Star Absorption Method, which naturally helped him unlock 36 acupoints along its internal energy pathways.
This demonstrated the advantage of a strong cultivation method. High-quality techniques often required practitioners to unlock numerous acupoints, and with the guidance of precise mantras, practitioners could gradually open these points and lay a solid foundation.
At the moment, Aizen chose not to focus on his hand acupoints or the Hand’s Three Yin and Meridians, as two of these meridians had already been unlocked during his practice of the Star Absorption Method. Instead, he turned his attention to his lower limbs, seeking to address deficiencies in his foundation.
Despite his formidable strength, Aizen’s martial journey had been relatively brief. Even with systematic support, his foundation was not necessarily firm.
A solid foundation begins with the root, and the legs are the human body’s root.
Many Sorcery practitioners start their training with stance work, laying their foundation through methods such as horse stance or stance walking. For example, the monks of the Way of warriors Temple would first spend three years chopping wood and carrying water, unknowingly honing their lower body strength and foundational skills.
Having arrived in this world, Aizen had never practiced any formal stance training. The most he had done was half a year of sweeping floors in the Heavenly Demon Clan. In terms of basic skills, most of the other black-robed disciples in the clan had a stronger foundation than him.
Though his current strength was undeniable, his foundation remained questionable.
By unlocking the acupoints and meridians in his legs and feet, and supplementing this with stance training, Aizen could rapidly solidify his foundation.
The Pool’s Energy Fades....
A full day passed quickly.
Suddenly, the pool began to tremble violently. The once searing water, with its temperature exceeding 60 degrees Fahrenheit, began cooling rapidly, dropping to around 20 degrees. The molten orange-red hue also faded.
Aizen, startled, opened his eyes, feeling a tinge of regret.
He realized that the energy within the Essence of Primordial Flame was dissipating. The pool was transforming back into ordinary water.
He had noticed the signs earlier during his periodic trips to the surface for air. Each time, the fiery hue of the water seemed slightly duller, and the temperature had been steadily decreasing.
Now, the pool had lost all its energy, becoming just another body of water.
Leaping out of the pool, Aizen heard the sound of stone grinding from the direction of the passage. It seemed the exit had reopened.
This treasure vault, of unknown origin, operated with remarkable precision. When the time was up, the Essence of Primordial Flame would completely dissipate, rendering the pool useless.
"Shameless thief!"
Suddenly, several shrill screams erupted nearby.
Aizen turned his head and saw five girls, including That Miss, hastily turning their faces away or averting their gazes, their expressions a blend of embarrassment and outrage. They resembled refined young ladies, shy and reserved.
Aizen smirked coldly. Under the disapproving and hostile stares of the men nearby, he casually bent down to pick up his clothes and began dressing at his own leisurely pace.
From their frosty glares, it was easy to discern their hostility toward him.
Had Morning Star Magus not issued a stern warning earlier, these men might have used the excuse of ignorance to attack Aizen, despite the prohibition against fighting in the treasure vault.
But now, none of them dared.
Morning Star Magus was no ordinary Innate Magus. His warning before they entered the treasure vault still lingered in their minds. Pretending ignorance wouldn’t absolve them if they were caught.
Moreover, if the treasure vault contained hidden mechanisms or if someone was secretly monitoring their actions, being caught red-handed could have serious consequences. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Provoking an Innate Magus over a momentary grudge was far from wise.
Even Aizen had no intention of earning Morning Star Magus’s ire.
