Trapped as an NPC in a Dating Sim-Chapter 48: Death of Undead Commanders!
"Arcane Volley!"
In the dimly lit underground chamber, reeking of moldering straw, rusted iron, and the thick sweet rot of long-unburied flesh, Soren’s body moved as if carried by the wind itself.
*Swish*
A faint magical light surrounded him as he pushed slightly off the stone pillar and leaped sideways, floating just above the ground for a brief moment.
His back was faintly covered by ethereal flame wings, allowing him to glide and remain airborne for a short time.
*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*
Taking advantage of the altitude, he immediately activated his evolved Arcane Volley skill, firing several glowing mana arrows in silent streaks of light.
His aim was precise and calculated, with no unnecessary movement. His eagle-like eyes focused directly on the skeleton soldiers’ weak points.
Because he was airborne, none of the ground attacks could reach his figure, allowing him to shoot from whatever distance he wanted.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
As expected, the mana arrows flew sharply and without suspense, striking the advancing skeleton soldiers directly at the faint blue flame burning inside their chests.
The cursed flames shattered instantly, their movements freezing for only a split second before the skeleton soldiers collapsed into scattered white bones on the stone floor.
Even when they tried to dodge, they could not escape, as their numbers were too large and with his Invariable Stat kept activating, doubling the damage of his attacks.
---
Ding!
[An incredible luck applies.]
[Congratulations! Your Invariable Stat, Critical Hit, has been activated.]
[The damage dealt to the Skeleton Soldier will be doubled.]

Poor undead were no match at all.
Soren didn’t let them gather too much and killed them in droves constantly.
Even if their number was larger and their level was higher, his constant use of the Crimson Wyvern Wing Sigil allowed him to fly above, effectively dodging their siege.
Even if they had archers in their ranks, it was of no use, as Soren’s agility was no joke.
*Crash!*
*Boom*
But that didn’t mean he was relaxed, as Soren barely managed to dodge a streak of light massive enough to slice through his entire body.
*Death Cleave*
"KRRRHHH!"
The light came from the tall skeleton soldier wearing cracked black iron armor and carrying a heavy rune-engraved iron sword.
Its chest was burning with a brighter blue, cursed flame than the others.
Unlike other skeleton soldiers, it could instantly track Soren’s flying trajectory.
Not to mention that attack just now.
Soren felt that the power behind it was no less than what Evan used before to separate the head of the Blazing Falcon.
He wasn’t sure if he would be alive if he let them graze his body. But he wasn’t going to try any time soon.

’Damn... these guys will waste all my mana potions. How am I going to fight the boss like this?’
Soren cursed, putting some distance between himself and the commander while his back was still blazing with ethereal wings.
He was now very relieved that he had taken this item from the boss’s loot. Otherwise, how would he have been able to kill so many skeleton soldiers and the six commanders already?
This one was the last one he had to kill before facing the boss monster.
However, he couldn’t help but lament that he had already used too many mana potions in this fight.
His stash was running low, and he did not like that.
’Sigh... let’s quickly get rid of this guy before the wing duration ends.’
But what could he do?
Feeling slightly dejected, Soren quickly took another mana potion from his inventory and chugged it down.
When he felt that his mana had fully recovered, he immediately moved again, constantly changing position while firing volleys of arrows using his evolved skill.
After killing six commanders, he already knew how to deal with it.
As Soren killed more and more skeleton soldiers while dodging the increasingly dangerous attacks from the commander, the surrounding area gradually became more deserted.
The army below, although still looking menacing, was being killed like chickens with no effective counterattack.
The main reason why this dungeon was so strong was, first, due to the curse domain effect of the boss, and second, due to the continuous assault from the undead army inside a closed enclosure.
For a single person, it would be incredibly difficult to survive this danger, as there was no healer to assist.
But because Soren already knew everything and had come prepared, he directly nullified the most risky part.
Thus, the situation before him was that the Undead Commander was slowly going mad.
If it could roar, it would have already roared in anger.
However, feeling the increasing oppressive aura, Soren knew it was truly enraged.
"KRRRHHH!"
And when he once again dodged its sword strike and shot an arrow that struck right beside its shoulder, the commander could no longer hold back.
With a deafening crackling sound, the commander slowly lowered its sword, seemingly ignoring Soren’s attacks on the other soldiers.
But upon closer observation, it was not being silent; rather, it was actively gathering the death aura left behind by the fallen soldiers.
The dark energy left behind by the fallen soldiers slowly condensed around its body, forming a swirling mass of cursed power that began spreading outward like a growing death field.
Even the air began to tremble faintly.
The pressure was so much that the stone floor beneath it finally cracked slightly as the commander raised its rune-engraved iron sword once more.
Its hollow eyes focused on the rapidly backing figure of Soren.
Then...
"KRRRHHH!"
Without hesitation, the commander swung its sword downward, with everything it had.
*Grave Execution-Deathfield Collapse.*
An AOE attack that condensed the death energy of its fallen soldiers. The more soldiers that died, the more black cursed aura gathered around the commander, increasing the destructive range and power of the skill.
The only drawback was that it did not differentiate between its foe and ally, meaning the attack would destroy anything within its range once released.
Sure enough, the moment it swung its sword, the gathered black aura burst outward in an instant as a devastating area-of-effect shockwave intended to annihilate everything within its range.
The remaining skeleton soldiers were caught within the explosion of cursed energy, their bodies shattering into countless bone fragments as the destructive wave swept through the chamber, heading towards Soren menacingly.
But just at that moment,
"Now."
Soren cried out as if he were waiting for this moment all along.
The moment the Undead Commander fired its sword, he also changed his skill from Arcane Volley to Artemis’ Grace.
Then, without a moment of hesitation, he infused every drop of mana he had, condensing a single beautiful arrow.
*Swish!*
Then, he fired it without a moment of hesitation. The arrow, filled with grace and beautiful light, suddenly crashed against the dark energy released by the Undead Commander.
*Boom!*
But surprisingly, rather than being stopped or even destroyed, its graceful, soft aura directly neutralized that dark energy as if it were its nemesis.
It was as if this arrow carried a holy aura so potent that the death energy couldn’t even dare to look at it straight.
Sure enough, the result was absolute annihilation.
The arrow didn’t even stop for a second after facing such a devastating attack and flew forward, coming close to the unsuspecting Undead Commander.
Then, with the same grace, it pierced its chest, ignoring the death aura like before.
*Bang!*
With no suspense at all, the blue-cursed flame inside the chest shattered instantly.
The commander’s hollow eye sockets trembled briefly before the massive skeleton body stopped moving and collapsed slowly into scattered blackened bones on the stone floor.

[Congratulations! You have killed an Undead Commander.]
[Killed Undead Commanders (7/7)]
[One of the objectives of the dungeon has been successfully completed.]
[Due to this, the boss monster, Cursed Warden, has been freed from its restraint.]
[Please destroy the Phylactery Core at the core chamber if you want to conquer this dungeon.]

Only the sound of the "Voice of the World" echoed in Soren’s ears.
