Chapter 51: Soren’s Rewards!

---

Ding!

[You have chosen to apply your new stat: GAP to your B-Rank Class: Archer.]

[You have 1 GAP point.]

[Congratulations! Your class, Archer (B-Rank), has evolved to Tempest Strider (A-Rank)!]

[Warning: Your mana core is too weak. You can maintain this state for only 10 seconds.]

---

The moment the system gave its prompt, Soren’s body convulsed with a sharp pulse of mana, his muscles tightening and refining as if hammered into a sharper form.

He felt his body suddenly becoming lean as that of an Archer, muscles compressed around his arms, every fiber turning denser, as if storing explosive power ready to burst at any second.

Even the veins faintly lit beneath his skin in streaks of pale blue while his senses spiked, his pupils narrowing into something predatory akin to an eagle locking onto its prey.

His reflexes increased multiple folds as he felt the illusion of the world suddenly slowing down. The Curse Warden’s movements were no longer terrifyingly fast.

Even his posture shifted on its own, lighter on the feet, weight perfectly balanced as though gravity was no longer an issue like before.

The air no longer resisted him. It flowed around his limbs, subtly adjusting, easing every motion he made.

Soren now felt that the bow in his grasp was part of his body, no longer some external weapon.

When his fingers brushed the string, faint currents of wind wrapped around it instinctively, and even without drawing, he could feel the air gathering, ready to become his arrow.

It hadn’t even been a second, and Soren felt such a huge change in him as though he had practiced archery for countless years.

*Swoosh!*

*Bang!*

Especially the lightness with which he dodged the furious Curse Warden Sword that almost separated his head just now.

’Damn... this is addicting. But I don’t have much time...’

Soren had never felt this light in his life. True to his new class name, Tempest Strider, he felt as light as a feather.

Even without the Ember Wing, he could glide through the chamber effortlessly, whirlwinds trailing behind him with each burst of speed.

Not to mention the velocity with which he neared the throne. He practically shot through the air like a cannonball, spiraling wind marking his path.

The Warden looked so shocked that it was already too late to react before Soren was near the throne, aiming his C-rank bow toward the pulsing red gem with a wind-wrapped arrow.

To be honest, if he could look at his stats right now, he might see a considerable change compared to before.

Unfortunately, he only had 10 seconds.

"Piercing Shot!"

Him using the GAP stat on his class meant that he could no longer use the evolved S-rank skill.

However, Soren felt that he didn’t need it.

Previously, he thought that the difference between B and A rank classes was just the number of attributes you received while leveling up.

But only after going through an ascension did he realize how wrong he was.

*Swoosh!*

As soon as Soren leaped with extreme agility and came above the throne, he released his arrow.

And the moment he did, a violent gale rumbled throughout the entire chamber as the arrow shot forward with such massive speed that Soren felt it was blessed by a wind spirit itself.

In an instant, it appeared before the floating gem with overwhelming intensity.

Sure enough, an A-rank skill used by a B-rank Archer could never display its true power. By that logic, what about the S-rank skill?

Soren couldn’t help but think as a resounding cracking sound echoed across the chamber.

*Crack!*

Without the Curse Warden to protect it, the red gem, the Phylactery Core, was pierced in an instant.

The result was a shattering roar as the gem broke into countless pieces before evaporating into nothingness.

’Finally!’

Soren breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the shattered gem dying the throne in a crimson glow. He didn’t know what that item was, but in the game, the dungeon was cleared the moment Evan destroyed it.

That meant he also managed to clear this dungeon, right?

"Krrrrr!"

Just as Soren thought so, he suddenly felt a low roar akin to a beast right beside his ears. It sounded so eerie and close that even with his heightened reflexes, he didn’t feel it before it was right beside him.

"What?"

Only then did he realize that the Cursed Warden, whom he threw aside with his speed, had somehow appeared before him, looking at him with endless hatred.

His black sword, spewing countless killing intents, raised high, directly aiming at his head.

’Crap... I forgot that my ring’s duration is now over.’

Only now did he understand why this happened as he realized that the Crimson Wyvern ring on his finger had already disappeared.

That meant his stats had been reduced by 30% due to the curse effect.

’But...why am I still here? Should’t I be teleported?’

*Swoosh!*

Even if Soren had complaints, what could he do? Especially when the menacing sword was already falling rapidly, intending to cleave him in two.

An Archer’s glaring mistake in any battle was to allow a swordsman near. Soren now knew what this saying meant.

---

[Congratulations! You have successfully destroyed the Phylactery Core. You have conquered the Unique Dungeon, Fallen King’s Cellar, successfully.]

---

Just as Soren was about to use the remaining second left of his class, forcing all his agility to dodge, he heard the prompt from the ’Voice of the World’.

*Swoosh!*

Simultaneously, everything in the dungeon suddenly stopped. The massive sword, the Curse Warden, and even the dangling chains rattling due to his arrow all went silent before.

---

[You have successfully completed the first floor of the Unique Dungeon: Fallen King’s Cellar.]

[The dungeon will now reset.]

---

The ’Voice of the World’ continued to prompt as the chain hanging around finally began to move, before directly circling around the huge body of the Curse Warden.

Then, it forcefully dragged its body directly into the wall, making a loud screeching noise before disappearing with it.

Soren saw that the entire time, the Cursed Warden didn’t even flinch. Rather, its hateful glare was still focused on him before it disappeared inside the wall mysteriously, along with the throne.

’Dungeon reset?’

Soren was a bit surprised by this change as he had never seen this before. Even in the game, after Evan destroyed the gem, he was teleported out directly after receiving the reward.

Then, why was he still here?

Not to mention the ’first floor of the Unique Dungeon’ from the ’Voice of the World’ made him a bit uneasy.

---

[The Unique Dungeon E-rank, Fallen King’s Cellar, has been reset successfully.]

[Congratulations! As a member of the Kingswell lineage, you are now eligible to receive the key to its next floor.]

[A ’Golden Key’ has been sent to your inventory.]

---

The ’Voice of the World’ didn’t care about his surprise and continued to prompt,

---

[Reward for conquering the E-rank dungeon, Fallen King’s Cellar, is being distributed.]

[Congratulations! You have gained the title: Lone Marksman.]

[Congratulations! You gained 2,000 experience points.]

[You have leveled up!]

[You have leveled up!]

[Congratulations! You have successfully absorbed the residual energy of the Phylactory Core. You have acquired the unique skill: Core Infusion]

[Congratulations! You have gained the chance to ascend your innate class by one rank from B to A.]

[Do you want to initiate your class ascension right now?]
