Treasure Hunt: Tycoon's Priceless Runaway Wife-Chapter 893 - 891: Living as You Like
During the October holidays, Nuonuo went abroad with her family for a week of wild fun. Upon returning, Mr. Mai’s large-scale fashion show began preparations.
Nuonuo attached great importance to this fashion show.
It’s not that she didn’t care before, but from a mindset perspective, she used to treat being the brand ambassador as just dabbling, but not anymore; now she sees it as a career to nurture, leaving no room for laziness or half-heartedness.
After the October holiday, Nuonuo officially began preparing for the fashion show at the end of November.
She asked Tian Fang to find the most famous yoga instructor in R City to sculpt her figure and asked Mr. Mai to contact internationally renowned supermodels for a few days of professional training via video.
The combination of training and noticeably increased university courses this semester made her busy enough to cut down on sleep considerably.
During the first few days of yoga classes, even with her martial arts and combat background and full-term bodyguard training, she couldn’t quite handle it. She spent the entire week aching all over.
Da Bao watched all this, knowing he could only be distressed, as there’s nothing he can do to stop her now.
"How long do these yoga classes last?" Da Bao was massaging Nuonuo’s hands and back as she lay on the bed like a dead dog, trying to relieve her aches.
"I enrolled for a session, one session lasts a quarter," Nuonuo replied into her pillow, muffled.
Da Bao frowned slightly, "Will you be a semi-invalid for three months?"
Nuonuo heard the concern in Da Bao’s dissatisfaction, turned her head, and patted his hand for reassurance, "No, the teacher said after the first week, once I’m used to it, I’ll be fine."
Da Bao was skeptical but could only believe her, thinking that if she was still like a dead dog every day after a week, then he’d definitely get her a new yoga teacher. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Luckily, after seven or eight days, Nuonuo’s excruciating state gradually disappeared. Revived and lively, Nuonuo unexpectedly had no other plans after school, phoned Le Tong for a rare leave, saying she wanted to watch a movie with Da Bao.
Le Tong, who was approving documents in her office, cheerfully approved, "Alright, if your date runs late, just stay out and find a hotel for the night."
Le Tong’s eagerness to "package off" her daughter brought Nuonuo a million points of hurt.
"Mommy, how can you say that? Like you can’t wait for us not to come home all night!"
Le Tong continued to laugh heartily, "Either way, it’s a win for me, my daughter won’t disappear; she’ll just turn into a daughter-in-law..."
Nuonuo understood her mother’s teasing, blushing, she replied, "Mommy, I am indeed your own!"
In the Ji Family, though everyone knows Nuonuo is adopted, in their hearts, everyone feels Nuonuo is truly a biological daughter, including Nuonuo herself.
Of course, this ’biological’ wasn’t about blood relation, but about the level of care and affection. Nuonuo was doted on more than many birth children in other families. Hence, even without Ji Family’s blood, she never felt she wasn’t Le Tong and Ji Rui’s biological daughter.
"Of course, you’re both my daughter and my daughter-in-law, a double warranty, double guarantee!" Le Tong, sitting in her office, was greatly amused by teasing the little girl, imagining her daughter’s flushed face vividly.
Nuonuo indeed turned beet-red from her mom’s teasing, muttering, "Mommy, are you selling insurance?" before hurriedly hanging up and calling Da Bao.
When Da Bao heard the little girl inviting him to the movies, he quickly closed his files, "Alright, I’ll come pick you up now."
Since Tian Fang became both his agent and a close nanny, Da Bao rarely went to school to pick up Nuonuo. When he drove to the agreed school gate, Nuonuo was talking to a tall boy.
Da Bao initially didn’t plan to get out of the car; seeing this, he got out, walking gracefully with his long legs to Nuonuo, "Han Han, ready to go?"
Nuonuo looked at him surprised, as Da Bao’s "Han Han" was filled with tenderness, anyone would think their relationship was extraordinary.
Indeed, their relationship was not simple.
"Oh, ready!"
Nuonuo handed a booklet to the tall boy beside her, smiled, and nodded at him, then walked towards Da Bao.
Da Bao naturally put his arm around her shoulder, intending to ask who the boy was, but heard Nuonuo softly explain, "That boy just now was a fan of mine, asking for my autograph."
Da Bao burst out laughing, amused by his unwarranted jealousy and pettiness.
"Impressive, my Han Han already has fans now." Teasingly, he opened the car door and helped her in.
"Brother, can you not call me Han Han? Look, my arms are covered in goosebumps."
Nuonuo rubbed her arms, showing an unbearable chill.
Da Bao smiled at her, "Not Han Han then. Next time I’ll call you Honey?"
Having been teased by both mommy and brother within half an hour, Nuonuo was too weak to retort.
"Alright, alright, call me whatever you want!" Nuonuo raised her hands in surrender before Da Bao came up with a more outrageous nickname.
Da Bao looked at her, his smug face clearly writing, ’Smart move!’
"Didn’t Sister Fang ask you to keep a low profile? Aren’t you afraid going to the movies with me?"
Actually, Da Bao has been warned by Tian Fang far more frequently than Nuonuo.
Especially since the movie "Spring" was entering its promotional phase, Tian Fang’s list of prohibitions grew longer.
For instance, Da Bao was forbidden to behave overly intimate with Nuonuo in public, siblings hugging was allowed, but couple kissing was absolutely prohibited!
Also, Da Bao was banned from taking Nuonuo to places frequented by couples, dining in couple’s restaurants or wearing couple’s outfits was preferable not to happen!
Nuonuo blinked innocently, "Afraid of what? You’re my brother!"
Nuonuo thought Tian Fang was overthinking things. She had clarified her relationship with her brother to become lovers three or four years ago, but her brother never showed even the slightest sign of exceeding sibling boundaries in public. If paparazzi really caught something, they could just say he’s her brother.
She felt being an actress and being the daughter of the Ji Family weren’t contradictory.
Da Bao also felt Tian Fang was over-worried. Not to mention that Nuonuo wasn’t famous yet, no one would care about her private life. Even if someone did, with his current network and means, suppressing such rumors would be a breeze!
