Chapter 595: Chapter 281: Extraterrestrial Visitors_2

Copper Hammer was already planning to leave. He had originally come to bid farewell to the Triangular Body, having spent quite a long time there with it. Getting to know Alka and the others was just an unexpected bonus.

Everyone nodded and refrained from asking too many questions. Prying into such personal matters would have been too impolite. After all, they had only known each other for a very short time.

It was just that this Dwarf seemed to have a wonderful personality—eager to share and carefree by nature. Without such an essential nature, he obviously wouldn’t have been able to travel across myriad worlds.

Copper Hammer waved goodbye to everyone. By now, night had fallen.

He looked at the starry sky above. A star began to shine brightly, seeming very close to them. A thin white line descended from the sky and connected to Copper Hammer.

Copper Hammer turned his head to Alka and said, "You have a very peculiar aura, one I’ve sensed in people from many worlds. Some of them have already reached the pinnacle. You will surely achieve remarkable things in the future."

Without further explanation, the white line wrapped around him, and he vanished on the spot.

With Copper Hammer’s disappearance, everyone turned to look at Alka.

"Future big shot! If you make it big, don’t forget to help me out," Jason teased, patting Alka’s shoulder.

Alka rolled his eyes and shot him a sideways glance. "Don’t worry, Jason. Since we’re traveling companions, I definitely won’t let you end up a beggar."

Amidst playful banter, they said goodbye to the Triangular Body.

They resumed their previous journey, following Chadite around the island. Along the way, they continued to chat about the information they had obtained from the Dwarf.

While that knowledge and information had broadened their horizons, it felt too remote—as distant and unreachable as the stars in the sky. For them, at present, it could only serve as a topic for casual conversation.

"Is this the writing of the Vastva people?" Matilda asked, noticing carvings on a piece of rubble as she passed by.

Hearing this, Lucilia immediately leaped off Alka’s shoulder and, with a few bounds, was beside Matilda.

"It really is! There’s Vastva writing here!" she exclaimed, then began to interpret the characters. "This speaks of a Vastva who achieved excellent results in a trial here. The name sounds familiar; we’ve likely seen records of them in Vastva. Let me think... It seems to be about a former High Priest who reformed the system of that era, allowing the city-state to develop and flourish."

Upon hearing this, Julia, looking at the stone tablet nearby, remarked, "It seems he wasn’t bluffing. This place truly has produced many influential figures."

When it came to the era before the Divine War, they were quite knowledgeable about the Vastva of that time; the High Priest represented the pinnacle of power there.

This small interlude didn’t affect the group’s progress. It didn’t take them long to explore most of the island. Apart from the ruins in the center, the outer areas had little of interest, mostly just island vegetation.

"At night, the Magic Power on the island seems to have calmed down. The concentration hasn’t changed, but those element-like creatures formed by Magic Power didn’t emerge to attack us, even when we passed right over them. Could it be that these element-like creatures actually sleep?" Julia added, sounding puzzled.

No one could offer an answer.

"Alright, the surface reconnaissance is complete. We can head back now," Chadite announced.

Jason turned and asked, "So, where are we heading back to? The ship?"

"Forget it, that’s too much trouble. Let’s just find a good spot to camp."

So, they returned to the ruins of the central city and found a building that looked relatively intact. There, they set up a temporary camp to rest. Apparently, they weren’t the only ones with this idea, as they found traces of other campsites in the area.

They quickly pitched their tents for the night.

Juanlu took out his portable pot and began to prepare dinner. Chadite found a quiet corner, retrieved his tools, and started drawing a map. Alka and the others gathered around Juanlu’s portable pot, watching him prepare dinner and chatting idly.

"Other worlds... they sound wonderful," Matilda mused, gazing at the campfire. She still couldn’t forget the scenes of other worlds Copper Hammer had described earlier that day. His words had shaken their understanding of the world, leaving them incredibly curious about what lay beyond.

"How strong do you think that Dwarf is? Being able to travel through so many worlds, after all," Jason couldn’t help but ask.

Julia shook her head. "I can’t perceive it. Although he still has Magic Power within him, it’s completely incompatible with this world, so it’s undetectable."

But they knew his strength must be formidable; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been qualified to traverse so many worlds and still be alive.

Listening to their conversation, Alka just stared blankly at the campfire.

Other worlds...

What about my own former world? Can I ever return to it?

Copper Hammer’s sudden appearance had thrown Alka’s thoughts into disarray. He seemed somewhat absent-minded. Everyone noticed, but they didn’t press him further.

After dinner, they retired to their respective tents to rest.

Alka only returned from his Dream World when the sky was beginning to brighten. Looking at the Hourglass in his hand, he saw there were only two hours left until daylight.

When he stepped outside his tent, Chadite was already awake.
