Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 625 - 291 Dragonman_2
"Oh, I see. A human Dragon Warrior." The Dragonman mused. "I didn't expect to see a Dragon Warrior in this era, now that the world has shattered and the gods have departed. Ah, this is truly wonderful."
Saying this, he walked over and casually placed a hand on Jason's shoulder. "You know, I haven't been out in a very long time. There are hardly any dragon descendants left in this age. I don't even know how many thousands of years it's been since I was last out. Speaking of which, I really must thank you. It's good to get out for some fresh air."
Seeing the Dragonman's easy familiarity, Jason didn't mind. "So, you all possess self-awareness? Then how did you become instructors in the Tower of Trial? Isn't being confined in this place unbearable? If it were me, I'd probably have gone mad by now," Jason asked.
The Dragonman instructor patted Jason's shoulder heavily. "You're right. But fortunately, I have a resilient spirit. I was born a powerful warrior; the mere passage of time doesn't affect me in the slightest."
Then, he lowered his head and whispered in Jason's ear, "Let me tell you something, but don't tell anyone else: we instructors are followers of the Seeker, and we're known as the Seeker's Forge. It's not a title just anyone can earn." He raised an eyebrow as he said this, looking quite proud of himself. "And I, Hollel Wux, am the most outstanding among these instructors. Ordinary talents aren't worthy of my training, understand?"
Hearing this, Jason nodded. "Understood. So, you're saying I'm a genius."
"Exactly! You've got it," the Dragonman instructor affirmed, patting Jason's shoulder again, his expression clearly saying, 'You truly are a genius.'
"Alright, enough idle talk. Let me see your abilities." With that, he flapped his wings and, with a powerful leap, landed some distance away. He turned, beckoned to Jason with a giant dragon claw, and said, "Come on, attack."
Jason didn't hesitate. Glistening Magic Power, shining like crystal, appeared in his hands. The Dragonman instructor's amber eyes squinted, his surprise evident as he observed the glow radiating from it.
Jason gestured, flinging out a large amount of Crystal Pillar Stone, which scattered and flew towards the Dragonman.
Watching the incoming crystal attack, the Dragonman surprisingly made no move to dodge, instead lifting his hand to meet it. Several of the flying Crystal Pillar Stones struck his palm. As the crystals exploded, Magic Power with a crystalline sheen began to spread over his hand, attempting to envelop and crystallize it. Ultimately, the attack encased the Dragonman's entire right hand, up to his forearm, in crystal.
The Dragonman just stared blankly at his transformed hand. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Seeing this, Jason stopped his attack and stood his ground. "What's wrong with you? Why didn't you dodge?"
This clearly wasn't a proper fight.
"This... This is an attack of the Prismatic Race! Such power... it's from a Prismatic Divine Descendant!" he muttered, looking at his crystallized hand, his voice filled with astonishment. "But the outside world has already shattered... The gods have all departed! Why? Why would such an existence still remain? It shouldn't be possible! Why?" he kept asking, utterly incredulous.
Jason watched him from nearby, scratching his head in confusion, feeling somewhat bewildered. This instructor seems to have quite a few issues. Will he be alright? Will there be any problems? he thought with some concern. If my instructor is problematic, that would be a real shame.
After a while, the Dragonman instructor seemed to recover. He hurried over to Jason, lowering his head to look at him. "I ask you, kid, the Giant Dragon you've made a contract with—is it a Giant Dragon that resembles crystal?"
Jason nodded, "Yes, Ulu Liwus does look like crystal."
"Really? It's actually true!" the instructor exclaimed in shock upon receiving a definitive answer. Jason couldn't help but turn his face away slightly as a strong smell of sulfur surged from the Dragonman, and he could even see sparks fly with his roar.
"Calm down, calm down. You're too agitated," Jason said.
"Yes, yes, you're right. I'm too agitated." The Dragonman instructor, whose scales had turned a slightly orange-red, quickly nodded. He paced back and forth a few times to calm himself.
"PHEW..." After taking several deep breaths, he finally managed to stabilize his emotions.
"Come, come, sit here. Let's have a good chat." The instructor took Jason by the shoulder and guided him to a nearby bench made from a huge tree stump. Clearly, he had lost all interest in battling for now; he first wanted to clear the doubts in his mind.
Jason was also very willing, as it was evident the instructor recognized the Crystal Dragon race, which could help him understand Ulu Liwus better. It was a win-win situation.
Jason sat down, tilting his head and looking at the gigantic Dragonman instructor before him with a questioning gaze.
"Um... uh, you..." the Dragonman began.
"Call me Jason."
"Alright, Jason. Let me ask you, that Giant Dragon you contracted with—how is she doing now? Is she doing well? Is she growing properly?"
Upon hearing this question, Jason gave him a strange look but still nodded. "She's great. She has plenty to eat and drink. She's eaten so many Gemstones, I'm almost out."
"Haha, that's indeed the case. They really do eat Gemstones," he said, his expression turning serious as he looked at Jason.
